The naturalist knows a lot about whales and shares the information. We also saw at least 6 whales…read moreplus dolphins! Sheltered upper outdoor level plus spacious front of boat for customers who want to be on look out for whales and other animals! Friendly and helpful staff, eager to let you see whales, dolphins, and anything else in the ocean. I'm a native NYer and will go again, many times.

Had only heard good things about this whale-watching tour and I had been trying to go for a while…read more Finally a date worked out and we got tickets the same day, so happy it worked out. The boat itself is clean and has enough room to move around while you're riding out to where you'll see sea life. The crew has clearly been doing this for a very long time and is incredibly knowledgeable. We had perfect weather and saw many dolphins and even saw some whales! It's a group activity for the whole ship to keep an eye out for some movement but it's so exciting when you do spot a whale tail pop out of the water. The whales were very active and we saw a few different ones before the ship was starting to turn back to head toward Brooklyn. As we were heading home we saw a two whale breeches so the captain turned the ship back around so we could see as much as possible. I was able to ask whatever questions I had about the whales to the crew and they always had answers. You can bring food aboard, and I believe on the lower level there is a little concession stand (I sat up top and stayed up there the whole time). Highly recommend a jacket or sweater as once you're out on open water the breeze kicks in.

For a business that has "fun" in its title, the cashier is a lot of things but fun... hehe but fun…read more The website is maintained very nicely in the event that anyone needs to verify location hours-- but I wouldn't recommend this service. The person manning the shack carried a standoffish demeanor and wasn't very receptive to questions. We inquired about whether to pay beforehand and late policy and the host was upset to even be asked that question as though we're supposed to inherently know that we're supposed to anticipate how long we're taking the rentals for. So much for enjoying the scenery. To describe the equipment aptly-- it was shit. The mechanisms were intuitive but had poor build quality. The wheels are small, so it requires a large input of energy to at best move at a moderate pace, the driver's side chain stopped at certain intervals, so you couldn't build momentum, and one of the pedals behind the driver was slanted so far that you couldn't even pedal, leaving the ride to 3 people at most. The cart was adorned by Christmas lights but they didn't work.

Sometimes one is there and not the other) We were there on the fourth of July and it got pretty busy. The line was pretty long but they both handled everything smoothly. My husband and I take our daughter every weekend for a bicycle ride. (We bought an annual pass so you save 50% off each rental. Once you buy the pass, the 50% off doesn't start until your next rental). Our daughter enjoys the rides each time. Some of the surrey's can be a little squeaky and noisy. (Depends on which color).

This was literally the best birthday present I've ever received. Words will not do Marc's tour…read moreguiding justice, but I will say that this man should be given a raise and his own stand-up special. He was as funny and informative as they come, detailing dates, places, people, and events all from an authentic Brooklyn POV. He had us laughing to the point of tears, salivating with the descriptions of the pizza we would soon ingest and astonished with some of the real-life facts he drops as you pass by Brooklyn's most notorious and iconic neighborhoods. You get shown clips from movies and television shows that have shot all over Brooklyn as you drive by the locations. The tour stops off in DUMBO, Bensonhurst and Coney Island before completing the loop back in Manhattan, so you definitely are exposed to a whole hell of a lot of New York in 4ish hours. You can also voluntarily choose to stay in Coney Island and not go back to the city, which is an awesome option to have if you want to play tourist or just ride some roller coasters after stuffing yourself full of pie! As a film/pizza enthusiast, this was literally one of the best days of my life, enhanced only by the company of my friends and the spectacular narration of Marc. This tour is definitely the best tour I've ever been on. It was equal parts hilarious and informative, with just enough wackiness and kitsch from Marc to make the whole experience truly unforgettable. I'll definitely be bringing friends and family on the tour in the future and am very interested in the other tours now as a result!
