On his second day, I received a message from his teacher stating that he was disrupting nap time, being noisy, and causing other issues. I understood that adjusting to a new environment can be difficult for young children, so I took their concerns seriously and worked with my son to reinforce quiet time. However, I continued receiving messages from his teacher daily, and it reached the point where I was anxiously anticipating another complaint. One day, I noticed his nap blanket was covered in leaves, as if he had been outside. When I asked him, he told me that he did his "quiet time" outside. When we inquired about this, the school denied it. Later, I was called into a meeting with the behavioral technician, Jessica Triptow. At the time, I had no idea about her legal troubles (you can google it) but in hindsight, knowing she was involved in my child's education is deeply unsettling. During the meeting, we were advised to enroll our son full-time to help him adjust to the routine. He was later moved to another class with a more patient teacher. During another meeting, I had the opportunity to review the classroom cameras and witnessed a disturbing incident where a teacher forcefully picked up a child who refused to go inside after playtime and dropped him roughly. Thankfully, the child was not an infant, but it was still highly concerning. Eventually, the school suggested that my son be evaluated for possible autism this recommendation was made by Jessica Triptow (which by the way, made it to the news for very disturbing reasons, you can google it) Shortly after, we were informed that he could not return unless we provided a classroom "shadow" at our own expense, so basically paying another person to do their job . This entire experience was frustrating, stressful, and deeply disappointing. In retrospect, I am relieved that we decided to remove our child from this location. I have since spoken to other parents who shared similar concerns about this center. While I hope other locations uphold higher standards, I cannot in good conscience recommend this one. I initially had high expectations, but unfortunately, our experience was nothing like what we had hoped for. Another shady thing is that they hide their google reviews, I guess I should've seen those red flags.

First, my son was going to a different preschool but due to change of schedules we had to find a full day preschool so we checked into Challenger. Mainly because putting him in a dayCare after his 3 hour preschool from his other school is never an option for us. I'd rather him go to an actual school where he can learn instead of a daycare. When doing our research some people made comments that a Challenger is very 'militant' and it's not fun and very strict, etc. We came here for a tour and it was fine. We decided to enrol him and a few days of being in school-WOW! Now that preschool is almost to an end my son feels sad. My son has changed big time. He's more confident now, extremely independent and most specially when I prepare his lunch he does NOT want me to put chocolates in his lunch box. He will tell me it's not healthy. Challenger really "challenges" the kids. They enhance the kid's skills, push them to be better and help them to be extremely smarter. I cannot even explain how much I love this school. My son will come home and talk about different dinosaurs, different kids of clouds etc. their curriculum is superv advance for a preschool and I love it! My son is super desciplined and it is something I love with Challenger. --- Challenger does not want you to bring treats and gifts during birthdays and Halloween or other occasions and they don't solicit which I admire. This goes to show that they are here to help kids and educate them. That's it. They are not here to collect anything that is not related to the kids' education. You do not need to be fancy and buy unecessary treats or gifts. --- EVERYONE knows my son and I mean everyone from msLisa and all the staff at the front desk to the director and all substitute teachers. They make the kids feel at ease that's for sure. They are very welcoming which helps kids to be excited to be here. --- they CARE period. I just had a baby and my son's teachers knew when I had it so the next day my son went to school they handed him their present for our baby. Now tell me, how will you not love this school? --- my son adores his teachers msAmy, msMiranda and msMelia. When we gave them a little something for Christmas you won't believe this, a teacher wrote my son a thank you card! Some teachers/schools they are not appreciative of that and it's like receiving a present for Christmas is just part of the game but not in Challenger. They really teach values to kids and even apply those values and be role models. I can go on and on but this school is amazing. My son can read and spell at the age of 4. Learning has become so easy for him ever since he started going to Challenger. We also talked about the possibility of going out of state or leaving the school if we enrolled him for kindergarten since they get the early enrollment discount. MsLisa explained to us that the refund will apply but outside the discount price which is understandable. What I am saying here is they are good at explaining details and fees and all that. This place is amazing and I've been recommending Challenger to my officemates who bring their kids to daycare because the price is comparable but you get more out of your money. The investment on your kids education and how they develop, Challenger is the place for that.

Mrs Gady and the other teachers were able to see my boy's imaginative and curious spirit and personalize their teaching to him. Over the last few months he has taken LEAPS academically, socially, and especially in his self-esteem. I am so grateful for the level of love, care and attention they put into the children. My two year old is also at this school and he went from crying every single time we dropped him off at his previous school to running in without looking back here. Mrs. Roxana and the other teachers have helped him with his speech delay and have been amazing in aiding me through potty training. The bilingual options are what brought us. Its hard to find bilingual preschools and I really wanted my children to be exposed to another language. They are also very fairly priced. I've had the opportunity to be around Miss Janice on social levels and also in the community. I was always impressed with her calmness and the way she smiled and treated children and adults alike. I knew long before having children that I wanted her to be my child's preschool teacher. In 2019, I now had a child old enough to attend preschool so we filled out the form and returned it to her home bright and early on the first day of registration so that we could be sure to get a spot the following school year. It was a snowy day and we were covered in slush and mud, but she wanted me to be able to tour the preschool and let my son see where he would be going to school. She got on his level and spoke kindly to him, she immediately figured out his interests as she walked him around the classroom and she explained everything to him and I. She told him she was excited to be his teacher and that she would see him soon. He has been in preschool for five months now and I have seen dramatic improvement in his overall behavior and his excitement for learning. She is a loving teacher who guides children with praise and positive reinforcement. She sticks to the rules, but in a loving manner. Every morning, he is so excited to go to preschool and get some stuff ready for the day before we walk out the door. He has learned a good routine, he has made good friends, and we like the group of children and parents that also attend this preschool. Her sister and Co-teacher, Miss Jen, is also wonderfully poised and kind. Both of them have regal personalities that make me feel confident my child is learning and growing happily. The communication between teacher and parent is very good as she uses take-home notes, email, and a texting service. I feel safe having my child in her home and feel safe when he is in her care for field trips and other outings. I would highly recommend this preschool because of the growth I have seen in my own child and the happiness it has brought to our family.

The La Petite staff has always been extremely accommodating with my schedule with my son. Sometimes he needs to go extra when I have him over spring or over fall break and they have always been willing and able to work with me. I cannot say how nice that is! Along with the schedule, my son genuinely looks forward to going to preschool/daycare. He wakes up in the morning and asks, "Can I go to school now?! I don't want to miss Ms Linda." (Who is his absolute favorite) I'll admit, after a few changes in ownership over COVID I was really worried about what would happen. I asked if there was anything else I could do because I had to work from home and I depended on those 3 hours to get work done. NO. My experience with the school was entirely unprofessional and disappointing. There was ABSOLUTELY clear favoritism shown to some students versus others when I would drop off and pick up, which was very frustrating to see. A side note: Children often act out when they feel uncomfortable or unsafe in a situation. Obviously I wasn't there during the class, but I think that is something to think about when choosing a preschool for your own child.
