Server let us know the kitchen was closing soon, so we put in our order promptly. Food came out HOT and FRESH. Very pleased with our experience. Music was at a moderate comfortable volume. We sat outside with a great view of the water. It was hot but felt great on the patio with the shade and ceiling fans. Our server was great. We started with the bread and oil appetizer as well as the onion rings. Both were good but the onion rings were delicious. The portion could have probably served 3-4. The batter was light and they were not greasy at all. The drinks were made well. I had a Kentucky Bird and my wife had the Pain Killer. We were kind of full after the apps so we didn't order an entree. However, we did try the Apple Pecan Bread Pudding in a bourbon sauce and with vanilla ice cream. It was delicious! Overall, the atmosphere, service and food were outstanding. We will be back and I recommend trying when in Chattanooga.

Plus the older gentleman at the counter was warm and welcoming. He said it was a busy evening but remembered my order when I left my ticket in the car. Now if you don't call ahead, you gonna wait BUT this will be THE BEST wait you have for a to-go meal. Yes, I said it's to-go! There's a few bar stools but plan to take your meal home so you can rub your feet together while enjoying your feast in your pj! And like me, you'll be "crap trapped!"

We each got a different sandwich and they were each delicious. I got the Harvest Turkey - the fig jam is delightful! My oldest got the cubano - excellent! My daughter got the chicken salad - it was good but it is a chunky style, so if you prefer it with smaller chunks it may not be for you. My youngest got grilled cheese - you can't go wrong with that! (It's not technically on the menu but the waitress offered it when he said he didn't know what to get.) Finally, my husband got the catfish po-boy and said, "It's the best piece of blackened fish I've ever had!" (I agree!) The remoulade and cajun sauces were good, too. The varied salt and pepper sets added whimsy to the homey atmosphere, too!

We were back today for Father's Day, and of course we arrived early as no reservations are accepted. Not a problem, happy to do it, we wanted to be part of that first seating when OMR opened at 11:00a. I would have been happy with ANY ITEM on the days menu, and I went with the Strip Steak and eggs, but got to sample the other selections at the table as well. Two gotcha moments today above and beyond the meal itself, the fresh fig with peach and bacon served when we first sat down.....and for the first time, I had coffee while dining here, it was absolutely delicious. Folks, I recognize it is a turn-off for some when you can't make a reservation, but my recommendation is to look beyond that, you have to enjoy a meal here at OMR, you'll be glad you did!

The inside is gorgeous and they have a nice patio as well. Beautiful and low-key but elegant decor. Service was excellent and extremely proficient. Never had to ask twice for something and easily able to answer menu questions and make suggestions. I actually hadn't planned on ordering the Fattoush but, when I said I loved tomatoes it was recommended and I am so glad it was. It was a standout. In the end I ordered 3 things bc I was dining solo: -Hummus with crudité (veggies instead of bread) -Fattoush - seasonal ingredients. -Red Snapper - about 3oz so small portion but perfectly cooked and flavored. Loved this. I very much wanted the knafeh dessert but I knew the portion was big and didn't want to be miserable and waste it. The weird last point is that our bill was $89 - we gave the waitress $120 in cash and asked for $10 in return (equating to a 23% tip but giving her easy math and quick cash-out). She brought back $9. We visited the Hixson location for a large family gathering. There is plenty of parking available, which made it easy for our group. It is a stand-alone brick building. The restaurant was clean and had a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere. There are a lot of seating options for different size parties and both inside and out. The staff was pleasant and our waitress was awesome. She handled our large party very well and was very attentive. They also did a wonderful job accommodating our mobility-impaired family members. I got a burger and fries along with an iced tea. The food came out quickly. It was hot and delicious. Everything about the meal was good. Overall it was a great experience for our family gathering. I definitely recommend Aubrey's in Hixson to other travelers or families in the Chattanooga area looking for good food and friendly service.
