Bacon Philly sandwich regular size
Ryan K.

From the menu board, the cheesesteak sandwiches looked impressive but when you actually get the sandwich, it's anything but. The Sandwiches itself taste good but for 20 bucks this is what you get. I feel like I got ripped off and it's the regular size . Won't be back again.

The cheesesteak with Extra Steak
Theodore W.

When we shop at Roseville Galleria and we get hungry, we have historically always visited Charleys in the food court. The food is still good quality. The service is ok. Quickest service is to use the self serve kiosk to order. However I am quite disappointed at the amount of steak on the cheesesteak. I ordered Extra Steak and paid extra, but it looks like the old normal amount. This will make me think twice about visiting Charleys at Roseville Galleria in the future.

Avoid this restaurant at all costs!…read more I placed my order and waited for 30 minutes. During that time, they were calling out order numbers for customers who had arrived after me. When I checked with the cashier, she told me my order wasn't ready yet. I waited another 10 minutes and asked another staff member, only to find out that my order had not even been prepared due to a mistake on their end. I spoke with the manager, Eddie, who explained that the system had accidentally cut off my order. After making me wait for 40 minutes, they were able to prepare my order in just 5 minutes. They even didn't offer a gift card or free meal. All they did was apologize. Is this how they treat their customers? You guys waited my time. The communication and coordination between the cashier (whose name I unfortunately forgot) and the manager were extremely disappointing. Mistakes can happen, but keeping customers informed and taking responsibility for those mistakes are basic expectations of good customer service. On a positive note, thank you to Aldo for checking on the situation promptly and providing an accurate response.

Disappointing Experience Due to Food Safety Concern…read more I visited this restaurant on Wednesday for lunch. This was actually my second time dining here. My first visit was pleasant, which is why I decided to come back. This time, I ordered what I believe was the tri-tip steak wrap. As I was finishing the first half of my wrap, I noticed a dead fly in my food. Needless to say, I was shocked and immediately lost my appetite. I walked to the front and asked to speak with a manager. The cashier who helped me was very friendly and professional. I explained the situation to her, and she relayed it to the manager. While I do appreciate that they refunded my meal, what disappointed me most was the manager's response. He never came over to speak with me, apologize, or acknowledge the situation directly. From where I was standing, he appeared visibly disturbed when informed, but he simply instructed the cashier to issue a refund and never addressed me as the customer. I understand that mistakes happen and that it was a busy lunch rush. However, finding a fly in a meal is a serious food safety issue, and I believe a manager or owner should take a moment to personally speak with the customer, show concern, and offer an apology. A little empathy would have gone a long way. The refund was appreciated, but the lack of acknowledgment and customer care left a much stronger impression than the refund itself. Unfortunately, after this experience, I'm hesitant to return.

Try all the flavors they offer, you're guaranteed to find a favorite. I've ordered bone in and boneless chicken and both are moist, juicy and large portion. My brothers favorites were the regular crispy and honey butter which to me is reminiscent of kettle corn. We also enjoyed their veggie japchae ($13), kimchi fried rice ($7), and beef gimbap ($10). Their chicken combo meals are a great bargain starting at $14. I usually have leftovers when I get that. Staff at this branch are very nice, politely answered my questions and the restaurant itself is tidy. Building is tucked away in a tiny plaza next to the tokyo cream shop. My client doesn't have teeth, so I had a feeling she would appreciate how juicy and light the breading is. I ordered the three piece meal so she could give it a try. The staff was friendly and patient, and with only a few cars ahead of me, my order was ready pretty quickly. When I got to my client's house, she was excited to try something new. That first bite? It was like watching someone discover their favorite candy for the first time! She ate all three pieces and kept saying how tasty they were. She was especially happy that she could actually eat a chicken tender without having to deal with thick, overly crunchy breading. She didn't even need the dipping sauce! The Texas toast wasn't her favorite... WHAT?! Lol! She didn't care for the fries either, and from what I remember, I'm not much of a fan of those myself. I do appreciate that you can order the chicken à la carte. That will be perfect for us next time, since the chicken was clearly the star of this meal (I may have to order myself some of that bread, though!) The owners of this venue are simply adorable…read more I ran a sandwich food challenge on the Nexdoor app and I reviewed a few sandwich shops recommended to check out. The Pastrami Shop was roughly 7 miles from home, so it was worth the short drive. The place is right off Sunset and Whitney Blvd in Rocklin. It's a very small place so ordering to go is popular. But if you find a seat, definitely enjoy the local vibe of the regulars and talk with the owners for a bit. They really are passionate about their business, and serving their customers. I really enjoyed my half hot pastrami classic sandwich. The bread was toasted, mustard, provolone, and a side of pickles and jalapeños. Boy was it good! I really should have had the full size. Give er a shot if you're in the neighborhood. You won't regret it. I'll definitely stop by again. Loved it.

I'm truly at a loss for words in describing this place. Perhaps 'basic' might be most appropriate…read more Let's first say that when I walked inside I nearly immediately turned around to walk out. The general look and atmosphere is off-putting. It seems devoid of product, somewhat disheveled and disorganized and lacking any substantive character. The place appears very 'long in the tooth', and no food products were evident anywhere. Added to it, no customers, yet some came later. Yet, I was hungry and stayed. To be honest, glad I did. They sell essentially one thing-PASTRAMI, and that's it. Well, indeed true to the restaurant name. Again, everything is basic! I opted for a Classic Pastrami Sandwich and was given the option for bread, I chose a soft roll, and provolone for cheese, plus mustard. At $22. for a sandwich, well, I had some hesitation. The place is apparently owned and run by a charming older couple who really are out to please, very friendly and congenial. I felt like I fell into an old Russian Jewish deli on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, no frills. Basic, but good food! OK, the Pastrami and the entire sandwich were AMAZING! The quality of the meat was top notch and quite good, probably some of the best around. The sandwich was HUGE and enough for two meals. I was offered peppers on the side and it was perfect for me to add some. The sandwich was nicely warmed/toasted, the cheese melted perfectly and it wasn't a difficult messy thing to eat as are many more upscale sandwiches and burgers these days. So, in the end it was worth it. The sandwich was indeed a surprise and excellent. Plus, they checked after I bit into it to be certain I was satisfied, with a smile. I got some chips and a drink and ate it there. Plenty of napkins were provided. Located in a rather funky 1960s shopping mall it's small, not that easy to find yet parking seems OK. Albeit it somewhat pricey the food is very good and the value is there. If you want Pastrami then this is the place. They sell bulk packages of it too. Try it. You might be as surprised by it.

But the service is sub par I won't go there the hour before they close anymore because the staff that works that shift gives off an energy like you are in their way of going home. They put the catsup and mustard bottles away AN HOUR before close! When I ask for ketsup, they tell me to get it from the fridge myself! LOL It reminds me of the 'no soup for you' episode , but not quite that bad. I went there yesterday for lunch and the check out girl forgot to give me my cup for my combo and just goes and fills some sauce cups and it broke and spilled everywhere, all the while, I'm still waiting for my cup, I ask the other lady who's doing all the work and she said 'sorry, here you go'. I had to wait 10 minutes for 1 polish hotdog. And it wasn't busy. The guy behind me got his dog before me. I have no idea who all these hot dogs were going to cuz I didn't see them get served, just cooked. I didn't know it takes 10 minutes to make 1 hot dog! They have their work Flo messed up. One persons doing all the work making the food and the other person is a dumbass not doing anything useful. Then you bite into the hot dog and the anger goes down and you remember why you went there. It would be nice if they made the cheese melt on the hot dog though, not just stay unmelted, it's not quite the same experience. They really need to do some training on customer service and workflow and put their ketsup away 10 minutes before close. If you can have patients to deal with all that, the dogs are good. I like the decor, but sometimes, I get so annoyed with the lack of customer service, I eat outside just to separate myself from them! LOL
