In my younger years, I worked some in the restaurant business waiting tables. As a result, I have…read morehigh expectations when I go out to eat. My first impression left me a little skeptical when I entered the restaurant. Being on a Thursday night, the clientele were rather quiet and the atmosphere just seemed dull. Once we were seated, my skeptical first impression began to disappear. Our waitress was top notch. She asked all the right questions, perfectly attentive, noticed what we needed ahead of time, and did not make a single mistake. On top of that, the manager was being just as attentive to customers needs as he oversaw the restaurant. Concerning the food, as I perused the menu I was also skeptical as the prices were a little higher than I expected. Once the smoke cleared as the saying goes, I felt it was the best priced food I have eaten in months! I settled on a grilled chicken sandwich with pimento cheese and a side of chili as a safe bet. My son ordered the burger and my wife the Reuben. As food was being dropped off at nearby tables I was looking on in surprise. Everything looked great. In no time at all, our food was delivered and once I took the first bite I knew I would be back again soon. I looked at my son as he took his first bite of the burger and we were thinking the same thing. The food quality was exceptional. Even the chili was way above average and I'm not even a chili fan because most of the time people put way too much seasoning and not enough substance. Most places nowadays seem to focus on cheap quality with tons of sodium to maximize profit so it very refreshing to find a place providing quality good. All I can say is great job. If I could give this place 6 stars I would and keep up the great work! See you guys again soon.

We noticed this at the end of the strip mall and decided to walk in and try out an appetizer to share while passing the time. We ordered the small boneless wings with medium sauce and two unsweet teas. The plate came with fries and our choice of blue cheese or ranch dressing, we chose the blue cheese. It was 12:10 PM on a busy Wednesday lunch rush but our server was super attentive and took our order within a few minutes of us being seated. Our food order was on our table, fresh and piping hot before we had time to start on our drinks. The boneless wings were tender and juicy, and covered in sauce. The fries were hot and fresh and tasted excellent. The blue cheese dressing had large chunks of blue cheese and was spot on. It is a clean and comfortable dining room with a wood interior and is warm and inviting. While we normally order bone-in wings, they can be messy, so we opted for the boneless on this trip, and they were amazing. Best wings we have had in Georgia. While this is a trip from home, I would definitely make the trip when we are in Gainesville for the service and food we had today. Definitely a five-star experience in all categories. Staff continued to check on us during our meal and we had our check paid and were out the door at 12:45. Our entire meal and drinks came up to $10.69, which was plenty for us to share. It does not get any better than this.

So I must be lucky, I've been here a handful of times for takeout and haven't had the negative…read moreexperience that other reviewers have commented about. To be honest I only come here for the wings, and the bar was set pretty low given that about the only place to get wings in Oakwood is from under a heat lamp at the grocery store. Wow what a difference, I started with an order (10) of half buffalo and half spicy chili, both mild as I didn't know what their heat level was at here. Wings were still crispy after the drive home even with all the sauce, darn tasty as well. I've now upped the heat level to very hot and they pack a punch. The space isn't much to look at, but it's clean and well lit. Definitely worth giving them a shot, I might even try something other than the wings at some point. Enjoy!

Bad choice. It was like the texture of the sole of an old shoe. So tough! The salad wasn't much better, consisting of mostly the whitish core of the romaine head, way too much onion and carrots, and too few tomatoes. Their credit card print-out doesn't give an option for a tip, so I felt lousy about not having cash to tip. The guy behind the counter was busy tap-tapping on his cell phone and didn't bring me my food despite that I was sitting at a table with a drink and wanted to dine-in. He made a grunting sound to indicate that my bagged to-go salad was sitting on the counter. Maybe their typical meals are taken to-go, but I ate mine in the restaurant, a small, drab interior with little to coax me into wanting to return, unless I should do so to try out the wings.

There is outdoor seating here and a separate bar area from the main dining. In all sense seriousness, it reminds me of a hole in the wall Mexican Restaurant. However, it's got the dank bar vibe! We grabbed seats at the bar, and I got to hear a local rave about the place. Apparently they get their calamari fresh. Waitress (Jasmine?) was fast and helpful. Service was great! We did order the calamari. It tasted like any other calamari I've ever had BUT their marinara sauce was legit. It was the BEST part of the entire meal. It had a spicy flare to it. So, there's your unique aspect of dining here. They also serve rolls with honey butter, and that was my second favorite part. I ordered the Reuben with fried okra. In all honesty, I did not like the Reuben. Something was off with it; taste seemed off. The fried okra was cut up okra pieces (wished they had just fried the entire thing). Overall, it's a decent bar. The hype for it seems to be big and I'm unsure why. It's a good place to stop if you're in the area but it's not a must stop. There are A LOT of 5 star reviews for this place by people with less than 10 reviews .

You can't go wrong at this place…read more My favorite thing is the Chicken Philly. It's hard to belive that I've probably had it 50+ times over the past 8 years and it tasted the same today as it did the first time I ordered it. Consistency is key and they have nailed it. Thier breakfast is great, it's right out the street from my house so I always pass it on the way to work so it's pretty common for me to grab a biscuit on the way to work, and they are always on point. Workers are always friendly, they have a small area for local busineses to advertise, which is cool, and they have the paper for me to check out while I'm waiting on my breakfast. Looking forward to my next 50 Chicken Pihillies!

I had the daily lunch special, which was $9.99 for a chicken Caesar wrap, drink, and a side. What a deal! The wrap was a little salty for my taste, with the dressing and the cheese a little overpowering and the chicken seasoned well. I still ate the whole thing, but I would probably ask for no dressing and let the chicken serve as the flavor for the wrap. The employees were nice and patient, and I felt relaxed in this casual and calm environment. I don't know if I'll be in town again for at least another year, but I sure hope that Delizio will still be around so I can try more!

"Short leash" in RULES FOR DOGS- yet a person continuously allowed his dog to walk in front of everyone in a path to get in and out. "Remove dogs if they are noisy" RULES FOR DOGS - Another's dog barked and squealed nonstop throughout our meal. I even asked the food expeditor if I could buy the dog a steak so it would shut up. He replied "we cannot do anything like that". It is hard to enjoy the sing along music when people allow their pet to bark nonstop, of course one barks they must all chime in occasionally. I get it, it is the lake, want to bring your pet, then please teach it to behave. Our waitress did an ok job throughout the meal. We started with beer and wine and the Calamari Appetizer, this was pretty tasty and enjoyable. Next, she had the salmon as did our guest, they both liked the dish, note about the sauce, it is a bit on the spicy side, but very tasty. I had the Fish and Chips, the fish was fried crispy and cooked perfectly, not greasy at all and very good, the coleslaw and fries were also tasty. I am sure we would NOT make this a regular place based solely on the unruly pets. There are many other places on the lake to eat where the food is just as good, and they do not allow the pet owners to ruin other people's meals. I gave the Pete's the benefit of 3 stars even though 2.5 would be more appropriate based on the lack of enforcement of their own posted Rules for Dogs. Why have a sign?
