Chris was very nice and used his creative problem solving skills to find me a liability umbrella…read more Pretty impressive since four prior brokers said they couldn't help me. When I asked Chris to find insurance for my mother, Chris delegated the job to Donna. Donna was very nice, returned every phone call and in the end, got the job done. She did, however, make quite a number of inconsequential/small mistakes and we barely got the policy written the day before my mother's former coverage expired. Donna was fine, but I wasn't referring my mother to the Scovotti Insurance Company. I referred her to Chris. I wish he had told me up front that someone other than he would handle the customer service. Still, overall, I had a positive experience.

I wish I could give The First Bank of Greenwich zero stars. Here's my experience:…read more I was originally planning to borrow $100K from Wells Fargo. The loan officer there, who was leaving to work at The First Bank of Greenwich, convinced me to apply with them instead. He promised to personally introduce me to the bank manager and a VP, which he did. At The First Bank of Greenwich, the VP required me to deposit $100K into an account in order to receive a $100K "secured" loan. Both the VP and the manager assured me that, within two weeks, this would be converted into a standard loan. That turned out to be a complete lie. Instead, they held onto my $100K for two months, during which I had no access to it, and ultimately informed me that they would not be approving any loan. When I decided to walk away and asked for my money back (I returned their $100K check, which I had never deposited elsewhere), they had the audacity to charge me $500 just to withdraw my own funds. In other words: they took $100K of my money, used it for two months, refused me the loan they promised, and then charged me $500 on the way out. I do not trust this bank and will never do business with them again.

What a wonderful bank... The personal attention, kindness…read moreand courtesy extended by all of the staff at this bank is truly above and beyond. After several decades of business banking - and at several banks - the First Bank of Greenwich has, again and again, gone out of their way to help in all ways big and small, that I've not seen elsewhere. In an era where decent customer service is constantly diminishing, this bank brings a refreshing and helpful level of focus and attention that's unfortunately hard to find elsewhere. And as a small business, with little to offer in terms of fat bank accounts, I still seem to get attention and service at the 10/10 level.

I had Insurance for 30 years but the last 3 years it would go up $100 each year. I decided to give…read moreGeico a call as I was Insured by them in Calif 10 years. There is an Office, only 1 in Westchester, and got Amara, young Agent to tell me how much my policy would be comparing it to my previous Insurance. The most obvious difference was between Renters Insurance. She spoke very fast, had objections to all my questions as I cant compare Apples and Oranges. Before I knew it, I was paying the Full Year of both Renters and Auto. Saving $200 which I thought may have bern worth the switch. Not so fast..I couldnt get their Mobile App to work, did not get confirmation of how much I paid, finding that there are different departments based on what you needed, I decided to call Amara for help. Left 2 messages with no call back. I then called Customer Service to answer some questions that came up, waited on the phone 40 min, got a gent, who put me on hold---forever. I then called my previous Insurance, they had not Cancelled me yet because Amara never sent the notice to me to forward on. That was actually lucky so I told them I wanted to come back. Ok Tried Amara again, too busy, but no call back all day. I called Customer Service and got a wonderful woman who Cancelled my Auto & sent to Allstate. Renters is separate as they have different investors buy a part of everyones policy. CS Gent was a Pro! Very welcoming, not pushy. He put in the paperwork to Cancell and said few hours, request for monies I ended back at Allstate. Good news, I am never doing that,1

This office has horrible customer service and is entirely unhelpful. I have been a State Farm…read morecustomer for over 43 years for my home, auto, and life insurance. During a recent storm, a neighbor's massive tree fell on my property, taking out several of my trees and two fences. My backyard looks like a war zone. State Farm has been unresponsive and 7+ days later, I'm still waiting for my claim to be reviewed. The office has been of no help. When I call, they do nothing but give me the phone number for claims and forward me to a voicemail box for a person who doesn't respond. Prior to switching to this office, I had worked with another State Farm agent who was wonderful. In the past, that office helped me file a claim after a similar storm, and handled the entire process, guiding me along the way. After that agent retired, I switched to this office but I have been incredibly disappointed with my experience. I'm a loyal customer and pay my bills on time.
