I was a victim of phishing/fraud. Someone placed a transactions from recipetours.com and charged my…read moreaccount. When I reported the fraud, it was determined that I "financially benefitted" from the charges, and my claim was rejected. Later, after calling customer service, it was determined that I was charged by that company the month prior, but didnt catch it. So my claim was rejected. I expressed that this determination left me feeling very insecure about the fraud process, and this is a potential deal breaker. Navy Federal would rather lose a customer. So, i will go through the appeal process, but will still leave Navy Federal regardless of outcome to a bank that value the customer.​

I have maintained my banking relationship with this particular branch since my arrival in Las Vegas in 1989 and it has been a joy. Over the years I have been assisted by many senior bankers and Katherine certainly shines in her amazing, professional and individualized customer service. Compared to the locations where I live, this was the busiest Bank of America I have ever seen. People actually sat in the waiting area, the offices had people in them, and typical, there were 4 windows and 1 teller. Security was present at the door doing his job, unlike being on his phone as I'm normally familiar with. I had a guy in front of me, but he only took a few minutes before it was my turn. I had a simple transaction, and I was out of there. In the parking lot, there is a drive-up option as well (not connected directly to the building) if you want to avoid people. I feel bad since so many reviews are 1-star but comparing it to locations in CA, trust me, it's a lot worse over that way.

I checked my account to see that they hit me with ELEVEN insufficient funds charges totaling up to just over $300. Like any average barely middle class person I panicked. I didn't receive any emails, and my card was not declining even though I had it set to do that. I went in person right after work (admittedly a bit flustered). I explained the situation to Christine and also explained that I literally have an app I can pull money out of my check early if needed for situations like this, and had I gotten an email or notification of ANY KIND that my account was in the negative I would have fixed it. Christine didn't apologize at all she just told me that it "wasn't a bank error" and so "there was nothing she could do." My husband and I already felt uneasy about the rebrand of the bank, and that all the benefits of banking here left with the rebrand. We will be pulling the rest of our funds from Create Credit Union after I get paid IN TWO DAYS and we will be looking into another credit union. These guys no longer care about their customers and it's honestly really sad. I have never felt more scammed by a bank. UPDATE TO THE RESPONSE: NO! You have NOT been in communications with me since last year that is a blatant complete and utter lie. I have received NO emails regarding that. Again, any other bank I have ever had would have DECLINED the charges so I could fix it. Not taking accountability has just confirmed our decision to leave. Have the day you deserve.
