I arrived at Charles Schwab & Co, Inc, 30 S. 1st St, Campbell location on Friday 12 Jun 2026. I spoke to a clerk and informed him that I was there to make a stock trade. I gave the clerk my name and phone number. I informed him that at the corporate office, an agent named Heath would have called ahead to advise them that I was coming. THe clerk brazenly asked for my license as if I were a criminal. There were 5 people in line who asked to view their licenses. He began addressing another client while he was still talking with me, casting me aside. He made me wait for no apparent reason, even after telling me that they only had advisors and that stock trades could not be made. Very rude of him to begin speaking to another person in line. A great idea going to waste. I have been a client of Charles Schwab for over 50 years. In that time, I've been elevated to at least the first of their "Preferred Customer" tiers. So, I trade, pretty much every day. But there is one incredibly annoying aspect of Schwab that very well may push me to transfer my account. At the bottom of each account, there is a line item titled, "Cash & Cash Investments." This line is meaningless and could be easily replaced by two lines: "Year-to-Date Profits" and "Cash Immediately Available to Invest." I have, for more than a year, almost on a monthly basis, complained, because the confusion generated by "Cash & Cash Investments," leads me to believe I can buy stocks WITHOUT INCURRING MARGIN EXPENSE. Oh, I HAVE the money - in my interest bearing Schwab Money Market Account, but I need 24 hours to liquidate that into "Cash Immediately Available to Invest." And if I forget to do this, every day Schwab charges me an annoying interest fee. So much for client dissatisfaction. What about Schwab IGNORRING a profitable promotional tool. If, for instance, I see a stock I want to buy in a hurry, and I go to my account and see I have $46,000 cash immediately ready to invest, then I'd be much more likely to invest, than worry about a margin call and waiting until I can debug the meaningless line that has a totally erroneous and/or irrelevant amounts. And yet, for months, I have not been able to get anyone at Schwab to do something. Their "Priority Level" phone agents continually take notes on my complaint (they can actually read them back to me), but they cannot (or will not) give me an email or name of a person who can evaluate this suggestion. It's a dead-end. It's like you go to your banker and tell him he's got a bucket of cash behind his desk, and he's too lazy to go look for it. It's like McDonalds has a new product, that's cheaper and more profitable than a Big Mac, and they just don't bother to offer it. It's pure, arrogant, ignorant stupidity from a company I've trusted for 50 years, and maybe it's time to find another vendor! Hey, Fisher, hey Vanguard, hey Fidelity! I'm out here. Win me over. Opened a checking and broker account on the 03/21/25 and deposited two work checks from my company. It is now 04/01/25 and i still have my account suspended with no explanation on why or how to verify my account. I have made about TEN phone calls on trying to verify and fix this so I'm able to pay bills. This is by far the worst experience I've had with a bank. I do not recommend anyone putting there hard earned money in this bank. RUN read more

Have had really bad, bad, good and excellent experiences with this office. One thing is for sure is they are consistently inconsistent. 90% of the time the guys up front do a great job so I'm giving them 4 Stars. I have had no less then 6 different account managers, for some reason they only work there a couple years then move on. I really liked the last one I had before he moved on. My new one.... "with all her accolades" I had to tell her what to do then the guys up front had to politely tell her it was not there job to do hers. I went to get an account and they made me do it from home. Ok I guess. Than I actually went and the lady who helped me named Tabitha couldn't even answer any of my questions like what is a debt bond?? Or what is a money market fun??? When I asked the direction I should take since I'm just starting she said choose a video on the app and she said she's not fully licensed yet!!! I wanted to speak to a actual professional!! She said take advice from my grandpa and ask my grandpa this and ask my grandpa that since I told her he does stocks?? This was terrible! Now my account is locked out and I can't even call the branch to speak with them unless I come in with my id I can't even call them??!! I have been with CS for years. I was driving a fair distance to come here because I liked the person I was working with. However, she moved on and when I tried to contact her and the branch to find out if she is still with CS or if I could get a new advisor, I heard nothing back. I have used the online on phone service but I like talking with some one. I do not understand why I did't get a call back or anything from the branch in Campbell. There aren't a lot of Schwab locations around but this is a convenient location at the corner of Hamilton and Winchester. It is located in the Walgreens shopping plaza. I've been here a few times to deposit checks. The staff at the front desk are professional, cordial, and quick. I'm usually in and out within 5 minutes. The office is clean and well-kept. They have CNBC streaming on the large screen TV and a Kerig coffee machine if you need to wait. read more

While a lobby full of clients wanting to deposit funds. After 30 minutes waiting, I demanded service. Another worker appeared. I don't take the time to write negative reviews unless the service I have received is really, really bad. This is one of the worst experiences I have ever had with banking or investing my money. I started off with Intelligent Portfolios (had such a bad experience they recommended I go into the Campbell branch) I went in and met with Evan & Thomas they instructed me on what I needed to do, I got all of the information filled out and uploaded. I then emailed because they said they were my guys if I needed help, once forms were uploaded I wanted to know my next steps. I have called and emailed so many time I can't count with no response. Charles Schwab is terrible. Just one of many problems...you get an important document on an email from someone at Charles Schwab that you need to authorize. You click on the link to review the document and sign it, if appropriate. The link takes you to the Schwab website. You have the username and password and proceed to log on. Their website asks for a two part authorization. The site tells you to call 877-546-0367 to get the authorization (only option). You call the number (1:00PDT) and wait on hold for over 1 hour. You call the Technical Support line and the support person doesn't know how to help. This is just one of many examples I can give of the type of crazy poor service that Charles Schwab gives its customers. I do not recommend Charles Schwab. I only use them because as a Professional Trustee for Trust's I respect my clients (Grantors & Beneficiaries) desire to work with specific Brokerages no matter how poor their service is. read more

I'm not a finance major so when it comes to investments and stocks, I'm completely lost. I had a problem with my account but this location made it so easy for me. It's a pretty small office so right when I walked in, one of the agents greeted me and asked how he could help me (some nice blond looking guy) I told him my problem and he gave me a complete walk-through, step-by-step. He sat and listened to me ramble on for an hour with all my questions (and I had a LOT) since I never used my account. He gave me suggestions on investments, gave me a breakdown of all my options for investing. All for free! Maybe I'm just being naive since I don't know how these places work but wow so friendly and no appointment needed! I really don't know how financial services work, maybe this is normal? Been with Charles Schwab Bank for 3 yrs. now, even though the only branch is in Reno, NV. The Campbell office handles deposits, and is helpful, prompt and always friendly. What makes this Bank stand out is that you can use ANY atm machine, no matter what the charge, and you get that charge paid back each month. Plus, checking accounts earn interest, no minimum balance. And there has never been a "hold" placed on any deposit -- the day the funds are deposited, the money's usable. While big banks boast about how convenient their network of atms, how easy deposits are, in private, they bitch and moan about the cost and figure out ways to cheat us with fees, penalties, etc. No such attitude at Schwab. If you can handle making deposits at a local Schwab branch, this is a great bank. Checks are free, wire transfers are easy and customer service by phone and in person is exceptional. read more

Came in today to open a brokerage account. The customer service employee(Asian man) at the front desk was rude and condescending when I wasn't sure exactly what kind of account I wanted. Actually rolled his eyes at me. I left with the paperwork to open a new account which I plan to do at a different location. Although I was fairly happy with the brokerage part of the company so far, I am seriously disappointed with the mortgage unit. I feel I cannot trust the people dealing with my case and they will nickel and dime me at every point (estimated closing costs keep rising, rate is higher than when making the sales pitch, a higher fee will give me loan I basically do not want...).
