I was young and no clue how to navigate 401k or retirement accounts. I was lucky enough to get started at the age of 16. Sure it was not much what I was putting in but my employer was contributing dollar for dollar up to 5%. I left that company and never touched the money. Now that I have one foot in the grave I reached out to them to discuss my money. I was assigned a great gentleman named Richard. Yes, they charge a fee. But I don't mind as long as I'm making money. Richard was very patient and took the time to answer all my questions. I ended up adding a little more money to my account and I've seen a good return I believe it's right around 10%. I have not been into the actual location but I have turned my family over to Fidelity. Prior to Fidelity I reached out to Fisher investments and they turned me down because I had "too little money". Fidelity has never made me feel bad about how much or how little I'm able to add to my portfolio. Additionally they offer a regular account with a much higher interest rate than your regular bank. Check them out! Especially if you can get Richard!!! Tell him you saw my review on Yelp. Good luck! Hope this helps!

I gave the clerk my name and phone number. I informed him that at the corporate office, an agent named Heath would have called ahead to advise them that I was coming. THe clerk brazenly asked for my license as if I were a criminal. There were 5 people in line who asked to view their licenses. He began addressing another client while he was still talking with me, casting me aside. He made me wait for no apparent reason, even after telling me that they only had advisors and that stock trades could not be made. Very rude of him to begin speaking to another person in line. Racial profiling seems to still exist.

A great idea going to waste…read more I have been a client of Charles Schwab for over 50 years. In that time, I've been elevated to at least the first of their "Preferred Customer" tiers. So, I trade, pretty much every day. But there is one incredibly annoying aspect of Schwab that very well may push me to transfer my account. At the bottom of each account, there is a line item titled, "Cash & Cash Investments." This line is meaningless and could be easily replaced by two lines: "Year-to-Date Profits" and "Cash Immediately Available to Invest." I have, for more than a year, almost on a monthly basis, complained, because the confusion generated by "Cash & Cash Investments," leads me to believe I can buy stocks WITHOUT INCURRING MARGIN EXPENSE. Oh, I HAVE the money - in my interest bearing Schwab Money Market Account, but I need 24 hours to liquidate that into "Cash Immediately Available to Invest." And if I forget to do this, every day Schwab charges me an annoying interest fee. So much for client dissatisfaction. What about Schwab IGNORRING a profitable promotional tool. If, for instance, I see a stock I want to buy in a hurry, and I go to my account and see I have $46,000 cash immediately ready to invest, then I'd be much more likely to invest, than worry about a margin call and waiting until I can debug the meaningless line that has a totally erroneous and/or irrelevant amounts. And yet, for months, I have not been able to get anyone at Schwab to do something. Their "Priority Level" phone agents continually take notes on my complaint (they can actually read them back to me), but they cannot (or will not) give me an email or name of a person who can evaluate this suggestion. It's a dead-end. It's like you go to your banker and tell him he's got a bucket of cash behind his desk, and he's too lazy to go look for it. It's like McDonalds has a new product, that's cheaper and more profitable than a Big Mac, and they just don't bother to offer it. It's pure, arrogant, ignorant stupidity from a company I've trusted for 50 years, and maybe it's time to find another vendor! Hey, Fisher, hey Vanguard, hey Fidelity! I'm out here. Win me over. Maybe, I'm ready to walk. How about you?

Looked up Paige Fiduciary and found Stevie Slaughter. Seemed real enough. Called her back with caution, not knowing what to expect. She was calling about our Mother. Mom was in the hospital and wanted me to know. Sadly we had been estranged for many years with no contact. We were able to meet Mom and reconnect. We got to spend the last month of her life smiling, laughing, crying and being a loving family. After getting to know Stevie during this time, we had many interaction regarding the details of the Estate and what Mom's wishes were for care etc. We found Stevie to be the most honest, caring, professional advocate for our Mom. Stevie lived the term "guardian" with all her clients. I know without a doubt she would protect a client as if it were her own family member. She and her staff were amazing at helping clean out Mom's house, helping to arrange funeral and burial services, as well as handling the financial aspects. She was constantly reaching out to us and willing to offer her knowledge of ways we could handle things. We both owe the deepest thanks and gratitude to Stevie. If it were not for her doing we may never have gotten to reconnect with our Mom for the last days she had. Stevie became and always will be a dear friend for what she did to help our family. I would suggest her to anyone that is even thinking they may need end of life services. She will not disappoint and will be on your side 100%.
