I love Dr Pipes but the cost of dental cleanings and tooth removal have skyrocketed way beyond normal price increases.

I was referred by a person who worked at another pet hospital…read more HE SAID WHY NOT TAKE SAMSON WHERE I TAKE MMY DOGS TOMORROW He showed me how to go the website and get in line over the internet. Once i got there I was greeted very friendly at the door within 5 mins i was seeing the Dr. Dunn she was so friendly & showed so much empathy & concern for my dog Samson . She knew from years of experience what my baby needed . She got me the meds i would need & let me know it would be ok . Once i checked out with meds my bill was only 124.00. i had spent 1000.00 on Friday night & 1000.00 on Saturday night at another place FOR SAMSON. There i wasn't shown the same type of love for my dog. Its been a rough week for me & Samson cause they found a mass on his spline but after talkin to the doctor she really put me at ease that once we handle the skin situation we would need to have surgery to remove mass . i cant thank the friendly & knowledgeable staff enough . this is my place to take my baby from now on. I cant put in words just how good the doctor made me feel ..i was told to start thinkin of quality of life for my baby whom I've had 16 years .. Samson is eating, drinking water moving around and looking look his Normal bad self ; God bless this hospital & every member of their staff .

I want to add this to my original review because my opinion of this clinic continues to grow higher…read moreeach year.. My most recent visit to Centerville Road Animal Clinic will always be in my memory. My oldest and sweetest dog had become ill. Then very quickly he was very ill. He was unable to eat, or take his medications and he was suffering. When I brought Lewis into the clinic; I had gone without sleep and was extremely stressed out about my poor dog. The staff there are honestly special people. They treat you like you're an old friend. It was Dr. Stanek and two members of her team there that day. Words fail me to describe the genuine thoughtful goodwill they showed me during that visit. Dr. Stanek gave me the choice of how to proceed with Lewis and I chose euthanasia because his quality of life had already been rapidly declining even before he became so sick. Due to the gentle kindness of Dr. Stanek and her staff; I got all the way home before breaking down in tears. But I hope they know how grateful I feel to them for getting me and Lewis through that hard decision. I miss him a lot but It's a comfort to know that he's no longer suffering.

I took my cat, Tooks, to this vet this morning at 12 p.m., & had an experience with Dr. Julie that…read moreended HORRIBLY. I called ahead to explain that my cat has a deformed claw that grows into his paw pad, I came in for a SIMPLE TRIM. Normally, we go to Terrell Veterinary Center where they handle this perfectly -- no cutting the quick, proper care, antibiotics, everything. I only came here because I couldn't afford the usual ~$180. That was a HUGE MISTAKE. WHAT HAPPENEDThey took Tooks to the back to trim his normal nails -- that part seemed fine. Then Dr. Julie came in to handle the problem claw. As soon as she started, my cat SHRIEKED in pain and hissed -- something he NEVER does. When I looked at the table, there was BLOOD EVERYWHERE. They had clearly cut his quick. That has NEVER happened before with my regular vet. At first, I tried to stay calm because I know accidents can happen. But then I saw the claw they removed. When I picked up the claw from dr.Julie placed on the sink, I realized they didn't just trim the part in the paw pad -- THEY TOOK OFF WAY MORE THAN THEY SHOULD HAVE. I was holding basically the entire visible portion of the claw, not just the tip. THIS SHOULD HAVE NEVER HAPPENED. LACK OF EXPLANATION & CAREWhen the assistant came back, there was NO doctor present. No explanation for the bleeding. No instructions. No antibiotics. Nothing. When I asked why the quick was cut, I was told it's something that happens "pretty often." That is NOT normal. I have multiple pets and trim nails regularly -- I have NEVER cut a quick. CONFRONTING THE DOCTORWe went back inside to speak with Dr. Julie. She did not agree with antibiotics, claiming the nail wasn't infected -- even though we already had it checked and knew it likely was. Then she finally prescribed them. Then she claimed the nail "broke off" beyond what she cut and that it must be a part of his deformed nail and a weakness. That is COMPLETELY WRONG. His nail has NEVER broken like that before, and I have handled it many times myself without issue. AFTERMATHWhen we got home and checked his paw, it was WORSE than expected. I cannot see his nail AT ALL.It is bloody, swollen, and has discharge. There is NOTHING where the nail should be. We contacted our regular vet, and they confirmed THIS IS NOT NORMAL. They told us not to use the antibiotics given and to come in IMMEDIATELY for an urgent appointment. FINAL THOUGHTSI am EXTREMELY ANGRY and upset. Dr. Julie insisted everything she did was normal and blamed it on my cat's deformity instead of taking responsibility. SHE CLEARLY MESSED UP. I don't know if this will cause permanent damage or if my cat will need further procedures from this specific incident until my vet appointment with my trusted doctors but I fear that his nail is going to grow back more fucked up then it was before. I feel sick and disgusting, the whole setting was un-professional and uncomfortable. WARNINGI WOULD NEVER COME HERE AGAIN.I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE FOR NAIL TRIMS. They openly admitted it's "common" for them to cut a cat's quick -- that alone is unacceptable. It shows a lack of care, skill, and concern for animals. I will be including before and after photos, along with the claw that was removed. This experience was COMPLETELY AVOIDABLE and should NEVER have happened.
