Excellent service to both my Australian shepherd and to me! The staff is friendly and attentative and Dr Denison was great! This is my second going here to get my dogs annual shots. Normally my pup is extremely skiddish with men he doesn't know but Dr Denson got down on the floor and was very calm and friendly and caring to my dog. This made the experience so much easier for us all!!

We needed to be seen same day due to our Rottweiler not being able to walk and wasn't eating. They were able to fit us in, so nice and sympathetic. The tech came to our car with a gurney and pick up our 122lb Rott by himself. The tech took his time to listen to our concerns and was so nice and gentle with her. Dr. McConnell took her time to explain everything in to us and we didn't feel rushed at all. We felt so much better after we left. Thank you for your care!

Here's my Bohannan happily awaiting his check up :)

I've been coming here for over a year since I got my puppy. The staff always remembers his name and he's always so happy to be there which lets me know they are taking good care of him. I moved about 30 minutes away from Rowlett recently and I still prefer to make the drive here over anywhere else. It's hard finding good vets but they will always let me know pricing of extra tests up front and give me the option to add it on or not. Plus they explain everything to me before they do it which is really appreciated!

We removed the first tumor, but after three years it came back. We again made the unfortunate decision to let our sweet girl go. Dr. Hoag was honest and sincere in letting us know our options, answering call after call from me with new questions in the days leading up to her appointment. Yesterday, we found our lab not wagging her tail, which is highly unusual for a dog diagnosed with happy tail. Dr. Hoag's office got us seen in a moments notice. Even when our lab started becoming aggressive due to the pain, Dr. Hoag kept her composure, ensuring our lab felt safe. While the X-ray found nothing, Dr. Hoag took her time to explain what could be the issue, our treatment plan, and next steps if we don't see improvements in the next week. My best friend is out of town and we are dog sitting. Before she left, she told me that if anything happened to her older dog, to please take him to Liberty Grove, as she knew from our experiences that Dr. Hoag and the vets at Liberty Grove , that we would be given the best treatment and information to help them make an informed decision. The compassion at Liberty Grove is unmatched.

I ended up making appointment at Liberty Grove but noticed that they charged me a consultation fee of $77.85 for each kitten which totaled way more than the $140 so I called a total of three times and was finally told that if I was keeping all kittens I had to pay higher fee... and then after was also told that they charged more since they were sick (although the dr said they were all fine but I wanted fluids just to be safe and also paid to have three injected with anti nausea meds).... Even though my initial phone call had all the details and was given the quote of $140.00. I am upset that I was lied to. Update: The practice manager, Cody Boyd, reached out to me this morning after my review. He apologized for the miscommunication and issued a refund of $233.55. I appreciate that he took the time to look into the situation and make things right. My concerns about the original quote versus the charges still stand, but I do want to acknowledge that they followed up and corrected part of the bill.

Three Years of Being Dismissed After Airway Surgery - My Honest Experience…read more Three years ago, I brought my French Bulldog, Bambina, to this hospital for nares widening and elongated soft palate (BOAS) surgery because she was having breathing difficulties. I had originally considered going to a specialist in Dallas with excellent reviews, but I chose this hospital because it was right across from my office and I trusted what I was being told. I was told this surgery would help her breathing. What I was not told at the time was that: * The surgery might not fully resolve her symptoms * Tissue could regrow * The correction might be insufficient * She could still struggle long-term Had I been clearly advised that the surgery might not work or could require future corrective procedures, I would have seriously reconsidered keeping her. French Bulldogs are expensive, and I had already invested thousands of dollars. I was not financially prepared to face repeated airway surgeries or watch a dog slowly suffer from something I believed would be corrected. Since the surgery, Bambina has continued to struggle. For three years, I brought her back repeatedly. I saw multiple doctors at this facility. I complained about: * Ongoing respiratory distress * Loud breathing even at rest * Exercise intolerance (she cannot walk even short distances, even at 5 AM) * Repeated sinus infections * Vomiting and inability to keep food or water down without risk of aspiration Over and over, I was reassured she was "fine." One night, listening to her gasping for air while awake, I was devastated. I realized I could not continue being dismissed. I requested to speak directly with the surgeon who performed the procedure, as she travels in from out of state and is not regularly available. I also wrote her a letter explaining the severity of Bambina's condition. She agreed to meet with me free of charge. At that appointment: * She acknowledged Bambina is not breathing correctly. * When I pointed out that her nostrils still appear extremely tight, she stated she "could have possibly opened them more." * When I asked how that made me feel about the soft palate portion of the surgery -- whether that too may not have been done aggressively enough -- she declined to discuss revision. * She stated she did not want to perform corrective surgery because I "didn't trust her." For clarity: I never said I did not trust her. I said I did not believe the surgery had been done adequately because my dog has struggled for three years. When I asked why I was never advised at the time of surgery that this procedure might not work or that new data suggests these surgeries may not always resolve airway issues, I was told that information more recently suggests that results can vary. That possibility was never explained to me beforehand. Instead of discussing solutions, she stated she would "let her insurance company handle it." After this appointment, I requested Bambina's medical records. I was told I would receive information within 24 hours. Several days passed without receiving records. When I followed up, I was informed that Bambina had been terminated as a patient of the clinic. After three years of loyalty -- and after bringing two French Bulldogs to this hospital -- my dog was dismissed after I advocated for her. Bambina did nothing wrong. She is just a dog struggling to breathe. Watching your dog gasp for air is heartbreaking. It is devastating to feel unheard for years, to finally be acknowledged, and then to be terminated from care. I am sharing this because pet owners deserve full transparency when making life-altering surgical decisions for brachycephalic breeds. Ask detailed questions. Ask about failure rates. Ask about revision policies. Ask what happens if symptoms persist. Advocating for your animal should never result in losing access to care. Shame on you, Dr. Carter I truly believe you should care more about your patience and their quality of life. and can you believe they had the nerve to tell us at the end? Bambina is no longer a patient there because I simply asked to advocate for her if you listen to this video that is gonna be underneath, you tell me $4000 later this is the surgery that went well absolutely not In the hospital's public response to my Google review, it was implied that this matter involved a request for reimbursement. That is not accurate. At no time did I request money back. I requested a medical discussion regarding possible revision because my dog continues to experience breathing difficulty. My sole objective has been corrective care and improved quality of life for my dog -- not financial compensation.

They called back and informed us that the sample tested negative. We were confused and asked for clarification on what exactly was tested? They said they didn't find anything. We reiterated that we brought in a sample containing a worm so how would there not be anything found when a worm was in the sample? They said they would go check again, and called back and said 'yepp there's a worm and 3 parasites'... 3) Called and they were confused because there were two dogs with the same first name and last name but spelled differently. We informed them that yes, that was your staff that incorrectly spelled her name TWICE so they ended up making two separate accounts which lead to confusion on their end anytime we called... 3) Fast forward about 6 months later, we received email reminders for her checkup. We called to make an appt and was told there was no record for a Biscuit in their system.... so how are we receiving emails? We have been there 4 times how are there no records? Receptionist got extremely rude and kept asking 'are you sure this is the right vet?' after we informed her for the 3rd time this was the correct vet, we have been there multiple times, and you are the one sending us emails. We told her either name it could be under and she continued to tell us there was no record but that someone with our dog's name did have the same last name, but a different first name... the spouses name was also the same name we had given them...the same phone numbers and the same emails....but you couldn't 'find it' and had 'no record?'.... 4) Told them we are done with this vet and their incompetence, and asked them to send over her records which we still have yet to receive.

Before even seeing a vet, a tech came in to tell me that services would be an estimate of $1000. Wait, you quote an estimate BEFORE the vet has even laid eyes on the pet or decided on a treatment? Unethical. I simply wanted symptom relief overnight until we could see our vet, and I provided info on what was done at my vet's office just a week ago. As I read other reviews, that $1000 or more estimate seems to be the cost quoted on everyone. Rather than use Blue Pearl, we left and waited until our vet was open. I also did not appreciate that there seems to be very little staffing. I had to call from the exam room to get the attention of staff. No one up front, no one answered my knocking on the locked exam door. I used this office ten years ago and was pleased and didn't feel gouged by the cost. Wow, things have changed.

We were told he had likely suffered a ruptured tumor and was slowly bleeding into his abdomen. The veterinarian explained that while they could attempt an exploratory surgery and blood transfusion, his prognosis was extremely poor and that he was suffering. As his parents, we made the incredibly painful decision to let him go peacefully rather than prolong his pain. I understand that emergency veterinary medicine is difficult, and I appreciate the veterinarian's honesty in helping us make that impossible decision. I also understand that discussing payment, cremation options, and memorial keepsakes before euthanasia is standard procedure, even though it is incredibly difficult in the moment. What has left us absolutely heartbroken is what happened afterward. When we completed the paperwork, we chose to have a clay paw print made. Before leaving, I specifically asked our veterinary technician if it would also be possible to get ink paw prints. We wanted to preserve the unique pattern of Ozzie's paw to keep with his ashes forever. We were told, without hesitation, "Absolutely," and that they would include them with everything else when we picked him up. When we returned to bring our boy home, there were no ink paw prints. Not only that, but the clay paw print we received was still soft and uncured. We were almost afraid to touch it because it could easily be damaged. The hardest part is that if we had been told our request couldn't be accommodated, we would have made the ink paw prints ourselves before they took Ozzie. That opportunity is now gone forever. There are no second chances to create those memories once your pet has passed. We understand mistakes happen, but this wasn't simply an overlooked request. We specifically asked, were assured it would be done, and trusted that promise during one of the worst moments of our lives. The keepsakes you receive after saying goodbye to a beloved family member are priceless, and unfortunately, this is something that can never be replaced. I hope this review encourages the hospital to improve communication with grieving families. If a request cannot be fulfilled, please be honest so families have the chance to do it themselves. We will forever wish we had Ozzie's ink paw prints, and that is a regret we will carry for the rest of our lives.
