We bring all of our pets here. Everyone from the desk staff, to the vet techs, to the doctors are just amazing. They really make you feel so welcome and valuable. The amount of time that every doctor I've interacted with here takes to explain what's going on and answer questions just isn't something you find much of anywhere anymore. Do not ever go to this business. They will tell you your dog needs all kinds of vaccines. When you do. Your dog will develop health problems. Don't get anything done here it will kill your dog later down the road where you can't do anything about it. They will give you referrals to doctors that will take your money and lie about what they say. If you do go here record every conversation or just don't go here. My dog passed away. If I have never came to this establishment my dog would still be here. Here are pictures of the damage they did to my dog. Left me having to take care of her after their F$&k up. Not helpful at all. They wanted me to pay $100 just to walk in for a neutering appointment before the neutering appointment. I called to get an estimate for neuter and they told me I would have to come in first for $100 before I could actually make the appointment. What !?!?!? read more

In 2018 I adopted a 14 year old chihuahua who suffered from untreated heart worms for who knows how long. His health was much worse than I realized. Prior to Dr Merrill I had taken him to two different vets who didn't think he had much time left. Convinced of this, they seemed uninterested or unconvinced that improving his health and quality of life was even possible. Dr Merrill was warm, sweet, kind and so responsive to him. She prescribed hydrocodone for a chronic, miserable cough snd it changed his quality of life immeasurably. That was 3 years ago. Now I am waiting as he gets checked up for his senior annual exam, and I still can't believe he has lived with me 3 years and counting. The dog I brought home from the shelter wasn't expected to live 6 months, if that. I have no doubt that Dr Merrill's attentive, knowledgeable care is what gave us this extra time together. Recently moved from Phoenix, AZ and had to find our doggies a new veterinarian. Thankfully, we came across Abrams Forest. Dr Meyers is absolutely amazing. Answering the million questions I may have, calling us after a few days to check up on the doggies, and even calling us back just from making an appointment to check up on the dogs himself The staff is super nice and every time I have a question, and Dr Meyers isn't there, they make sure he gets the message and he calls back! The wait time for this clinic is long. My dog usually doesn't get picked up until 45 min to an hour after the appointment time. I get that they're busy but it's a bit much. I'm trying to understand that due to the pandemic the curbside service may take longer, but they should've adjusted and scheduled appointments according to that slowdown. One thing I do like is that the vets don't try to rush you and try to give you as much information as possible before you make any decision. I had a great experience at Abrams Forest Vet clinic. This was my first time visiting AFVC, and I arrived 30 min before closing with my 4yr old Pug, Oslo. I could tell he was not feeling well but I was worried that we would be rushed and not closely cared for. I was wrong. The receptionist Stacy, the Vet Tech-Terry and Dr Allison Merrill were outstanding! Dr Merrill was so sweet and caring, she got down on the floor with Oslo, watched him walk around the entire clinic, did some examinations and ultimately gave him a clean bill of health. We rescued a 3 week old puppy who was in bad shape and we didn't know what to do. We called another clinic but by the grace of God we ended up here. The veterans in this location is exceptionally professional and very nice! My only baby dog gotten cancer and we were so down and discouraged by his condition. UPDATE: Abrams Forest Vet left a great first impression.. however since our first trip, they've become decreasingly impressive each visit. PRECURSOR: I have a Mini Australian Shepherd who is positive for MDR1 - meaning, he's very sensitive to certain drugs as they could trigger horrific side effects - vomiting, diarrhea, etc. BIGGEST CONCERN: Rather than suggesting another kind of medication that will NOT trigger this gene, the vet and multiple staff members INSISTED on the use of the very drugs I told them he could absolutely NOT be on. The vet "pro" actually suggested he undergo the symptoms just to have the prevention (there are plenty of solutions for him to receive the necessary prevention WITHOUT the drugs that he's sensitive to) - excuse me, but he never had the drug in the past for the very same reason, so why would we change that now? I ended up doing my own research to find the best suitable medical prevention for him from PetMeds. It's disappointing because Abrams Forest Vet appears to mean well and be well-kept, not to mention their location is so convenient to my house but it's clear they care more about making their money. I'd rather have a vet clinic who is responsive to my best friend's sensitivities the first time around. Needless to say, we'll be taking Vet services elsewhere. read more

I've been taking my cats to this vet practice for several years now. But they really became important to me in March when my older cat started having some issues. I've been there often since then. Last Saturday it became clear that the best thing to do for my older cat was to end his suffering. During that visit everyone was incredibly thoughtful and kind. I cannot imagine what more they could have done to help me through that difficult day. Yesterday I received a sympathy card in the mail from them. Just wonderful people. We are frequent flyers at Abrams Forest. My 14 year old dog has kidney disease and needs subQ fluids 1-2 times a week. Dr. Taylor has taken really good care of my girl and I recommend her to everyone I know. We had an appointment on Saturday afternoon but with the weather being iffy the clinic was shutting down early. One of the vet techs called me and asked me to bring our dog in early because they were worried that she wouldn't be able to get her fluids (If we wait too long between fluids she can get sick). It warms my heart that they care so much about the well being of their patients and go above and beyond to make sure we are taken care of. Dr. Stickley is amazing with my 5 year old little 4lb chihuahua. I called to set an appointment for a teeth cleaning for my lil chih and was told I needed to come in for an office visit prior to setting the appointment. I was able to get in the next day! They have weekend hours which is awesome! Dr. Stickley was very kind and gentle with my chihuahua. She noticed she was out of date for a few of her shots and let me know when her other shot would be due. She also suggested a heart worm chewable and considering the mosquito population in the south is much different then the northwest I took her suggestion. I was left with an estimate for my chihuahuas teeth cleaning and was able to get her scheduled 2 days later! read more

Abrams Forest Veterinarian Clinic appeared in the top 3 of preferred wellness and preventative providers, so my expectation mirrored their ranking. Pet owners are encouraged to email or use Petly for immediate responses. Unfortunately no one ever got back to me then, nor today, when I actually called to follow-up on my email. I was "promised" that someone would get back to me prior to closing. It never happened. I just went in to this clinic with an urgent need to get my dogs medicine. We are moving and I can't find the new bottle. I have a written prescription from my vet who is closed and refers to this after hours clinic. I also have the empty prescription bottle.It's a basic gastric protectant for ulcers and he is miserable without it. Nothing harmful. They refused to even give me a few tablets. They didn't care about my dog at all. I asked if I could send my prescription to pet meds and get it filled, why can't they help my dog today so he can feel better. When I came home, I saw than my 8 year old rat terrier looked like he went a few rounds with several mme fighters. His face was extremely swollen and I was a scared, panicked momma. I looked this bet clinic and was able to get an appointment within the hour. The vet staff and veterinarian were pleasant and after a check up, informed me than my son was suffering from an allergic reaction. A steroid shot and a few hours later, my baby's face was staring to look recognizable and that made me feel one hundred percent better! I cannot say enough good things about this place. I recently moved to the area and decided to give them a try for my cat's new vet. The quality of care that they provide is insane. Dr Stickney is an absolute joy. She answers all of my crazy questions about my cat's health and she doesn't rush me. A few weeks after my cat's wellness checkup she got really sick. This was the first time I took my dog to a vet or any clinic in a year. I was very nervous because he sometimes has issues with new people. My boyfriend refers to him as "the meat tank." At 68lbs, my American Staffordshire Boxer mix is a small meat tank with explosive energy. He's notorious for trampling company. So I was not looking forward to him running over a little vet tech or stomping all over the waiting room. Setting up my appointment was such a breeze. I generally hate setting up appointments if it's not something I can do online because I hate phone calls and people. I had no problems setting up my dog's appointment. I didn't have to wait long in the wait room. My appointment was scheduled in the morning. I arrived 15 minutes early. Checked in and was called in after 5 minutes. The vet tech was wonderful and so patient as my dog spazzed around on the scale while she was trying to weigh him. She had no trouble getting him to go with her and she even said he behaved wonderfully while she drew his blood. She had pockets full of treats and my dog will do anything for treats. They had no problem with how excited my dog was. He ran circles in the check-up room.The entire staff is wonderful. I'm looking forward to taking my dog to them for all his health needs. His annual exam cost me $130. It's a flat rate regardless of him needing more vaccines. He didn't even realize he was getting vaccines. He was too busy with treats getting shoved in his face. read more
