Pet Owners Beware: After three years as a loyal ReadyVet client, my dog was left in a cage for over five hours with no call, no update, and no explanation. When I asked why, they blamed me for following their own instructions and then terminated me as a client. The full story is shocking. I've trusted ReadyVet with my dog, Finn, for years, and always had great experiences with Dr. Ben. That trust ended after Finn's recent dental appointment. His procedure was scheduled for 8 a.m. I dropped him off on time and called around 1 p.m., only to learn his dental was just starting. Finn, who they know has anxiety, had been sitting in a cage for over five hours with no communication. They later claimed the delay was because I fed him, but I gave him a smaller-than-normal portion of food so he could take the trazodone they prescribed. No one ever said this would delay his care for hours. Looking back, it's clear the clinic was overbooked. They were running a 15% off dental promotion (see image attached) and had "fit me in" with another vet because my usual doctor, Dr. Ben, was fully booked for dentals until next month. I later learned they had four dentals that day. It's hard not to see the problem as a scheduling issue, not a medical one. When I raised my concerns, management accused me of being disrespectful and terminated me as a client. It was an incredibly disappointing end to what had been a positive relationship. Dr. Ben has always been wonderful and this situation had nothing to do with him. My issue is entirely with how the office is managed; poor communication, lack of transparency, and zero accountability. I booked with ReadiVet and they were able to come out, check on him, and take a blood sample. It takes a lot out of both my cat and I when he needs to visit the vet and the ease of this while having knowledgeable doctors was well worth the cost. First let me say - this vet did fire me as a client but this is not a "disgruntled rage review." Please read on. I hate to have to write a poor review but after the conversation I had with the practice manager this morning, not only do I feel I need to write one, I felt it needed to be a 2 instead of a 3. My 2 cats have been patients at ReadiVet for a few years now (since before the pandemic). For a long time things were great. However, since the pandemic, things have been difficult. I tried to give some grace over staffing issues as things were starting to recover - and cancelled/rescheduled appointments did get better for a while. In the last 6-8 months, though, they've gone downhill again because of staffing and/or equipment issues. Having to cancel/reschedule is a hassle if I have some advance notice but it is entirely unacceptable to cancel an appointment 5 minutes before you're supposed to be at my house. Check your equipment in advance - or have a backup piece of equipment! I also tried to have a conversation with my vet a few months ago about the frequency of appointments - every time I turned around it was $300-$400. Now, my cats are very old & have some health issues but I was hoping for some solution with her that just didn't happen. As a result, they've charged me an average of $350 each for 6 appointments since August. Now, should the business come to their defense here, let me own something they will no doubt claim. As I said, they did fire me as a client. They said I was "rude and inappropriate" towards their staff. Did I lose my cool & say something I shouldn't have a couple of times? I sure did. My time is valuable and when you cancel/reschedule my appointments, that's disrespectful to me as a client. I've never had to cancel on them. The practice manager texted me to say they would be mailing all of my records to me so I hope that they do. I asked for a phone call to discuss and she couldn't even stay on the phone with me for 10 minutes before she hung up on me when I disputed her excuse that "All tech appointments are tentative." I'd never, in my entire relationship with ReadiVet, heard that. Who makes "tentative" appointments?! If tech appointments are tentative, they should make that clear every time. Are they tentative until someone knocks on my door? Why bother sending a text the day before to confirm this "tentative" appointment (which is not mentioned in their confirmation text either)? I am really disappointed in the service I received here. There should have been an opportunity to have a conversation a client who was clearly frustrated and unhappy. I should have ended this relationship myself before it came to this. read more

They spent a lot of time with me getting to know both kitties habits and personalities, and did a full exam, vaccines, and nail trims for each. Dr. Ben and his team are the best!! If you're in their service area, you must give them a try. Instead of a cold table at the vet, I get to have my dogs checked out and treated while they sit on the floor because that's where my girls are most comfortable. One of my dogs is very skittish, and they are so good with her that she hasn't had to wear a muzzle yet. They call or text to check up on them after the visit, and it's not just an impersonal communication. The crew really cares. Hours are very flexible, and they were even able to see my dogs when I thought they had a medical emergency. You get everything you would at a normal office. They bring a scale and a whole kit. If your animal needs a procedure done or anything else that requires more than a normal visit, they can even transport them to their office. Another benefit to a home visit is that they can witness behaviors that an office visit wouldn't provide. For example, they walked with me when I took the dogs to go potty and recommended a different collar based on how the dogs behaved on leash. Prices are comparable to my previous veterinarians, but even if they were slightly higher, I would still choose ReadiVet over them. Do yourself and your pet a favor and give them a try. the reviews are genuine and they saved my dog at an affordable price. I came from vca Katy trail and paid almost $300 for a check up. Over the course of a few months my dog steadily developed a skin, ear and eye infection due to underlying causes like thyroid issues, not enough tear production and allergies but neither of those were addressed in his previous expensive checkup with the vca clinic. Dr Ben came to our house for under $100 and had on sight medicine for my dog. He is now walking, eating and living like a completely different dog. I highly recommend. This place in phenomenal. We adopted an 11-week pup over the weekend and were concerned about whether or not the breeder indeed gave her a first vaccination and dewormer as stated. Our pup was also in dire need of a nail trimming. (My family has had two very bad experiences in the past. One pup dying with parvo within a week, and the other with worms, or lackthereof, and other things.) Due to Covid-19 and to shelter our dog from other potential illnesses, we preferred not to venture out into the land of vet waiting rooms and anxious other pets. So, we called in the morning for an appointment and ReadiVet was able to shuffle their schedule a bit to get us an appointment that same afternoon. Dr. Leah and Jess came out on-time and gave us a text message heads-up they were on nearby. They were in and out on 30 minutes leaving all parties extremely happy, and our pup with no distress. Their pricing is straight-forward on their website. We look forward to the next vaccination in three weeks and potential microchipping down the road. We've had such fantastic experiences with Readivet, both in our home appointments and even in their clinic. Our two 15-year-old cats do not tolerate car travel very well and my spouse and I both work from home, so the convenience of having vet care in our house is amazing, not to mention avoiding stressful waiting rooms and crowds during a pandemic. Readivet was wonderful with our little girl Sugar. She is 4 years old and was having a problem with her rear foot- licking it obsessively. This is the first vet that has taken the issue seriously-she was in a lot of discomfort. They prescribed medication and after a few days she is barely licking. He also provided two possible options as next steps if this does not provide her relief. Really liked the vet and assistant who showed up, but the office has been a constant beating since then. Had a question for vet shortly after visit--couldn't get a return call. Dog had surgery and needed to have records sent to the vet performing surgery--took multiple calls to actually get records sent. Told them I had something done at another vet and received an abrupt email demanding I send the records NOW. Very aggressive about follow-ups--schedules check ups every 6 months for entirely healthy and fully vaccinated dogs. Have had to go back several times to request records not sent initially. Most recently asked for rabies certificate--sent email saying dog vaccinated--but without info on date, type of vaccine or time frame it was good. Hoping this would be the solution for time consuming drives to the vet, but after the time wasted dealing with what appears to be a complete lack of attention and customer service, feel that time spent driving is worth it. Dr. Ben and Adriana are saints. Our dog, Kenji, is not an easy patient. He is normally a very sweet dog but when he feels afraid or threatened, he acts aggressive. They were familiar with Kenji's past fears of going to the vet. After nearly an hour of trying to gain Kenji's trust on their first visit, it was apparent that he was not going to relax on his own. Dr. Ben gave me anti-anxiety medication to give Kenji before Dr Ben's next visit. We rescheduled for the next day. When Dr. Ben and Adriana arrived, it became apparent that the medication was not enough to ease Kenji's stress. They came up with a new plan and we took Kenji on his leash to the backyard. I gave Kenji treats that they brought and Dr Ben was able to come from behind Kenji and gently put Kenji in a "bear hug." Adriana was able to administer shots and trim all of his nails. Dr Ben then examined Kenji. Kenji was released and proceeded to give kisses to Dr Ben and Adriana. Although the at home visit didn't go as easily as I envisioned, it was so much less stressful for Kenji. Dr Ben and Adriana couldn't have been kinder, more gentle or patient with Kenji. We loved our vet but the trips to the vet had become too traumatic for Kenji. Thank you Dr Ben and Adriana for being such obvious animal lovers. We have found our new vet. read more

ReadiVet is amazing!! We booked an appointment late in the evening for next day and it was super convenient. Dr. Ben and Adriana messaged us when they were on their way and we greeted them in our apartment lobby. They were both very friendly and caring. We had our visit in the pet spa area of our apartment although they seem very efficient with working anywhere. They came fully equipped with anything you could possibly need and what you typically have to load your dog up in the car and make a trip to the vet's office for. Totally not necessary anymore! They were both very knowledgeable, personable, and thorough! We have an English Bulldog- so things can get pretty complex. All of our concerns were addressed and they promptly followed up on testing so it's reduces anxiety with waiting. Our dog loved them and so did we! Would highly recommend!! 5 stars! Not to mention it is more affordable than if we were to have gone to our "normal" vet!
