After we finished our entrées, he returned to clear the plates and apologized, explaining that he had been speaking with his manager. While that could be true, I spent many years working in the food service industry, and it's hard for me to understand why a manager would pull a server away from an active table for a prolonged conversation. Maybe that's what happened -- but regardless, it was a significant miss. Between the soggy salad, the standard salmon, and the spotty table service, I don't think we'll be returning. There are simply too many other places where a $200+ dinner feels more justified and better executed. I truly wanted to love this place -- the setting alone almost won me over -- but unfortunately, the overall experience didn't live up to the atmosphere.
