It was a bit odd for her to initiate a conversation this way. I kindly explained to her that I do have health insurance. I had provided that information several times online. I also gave my insurance information over the phone when a staff member called me to confirm my appointment the day before. I waited to be seen. Approximately 4 other patients arrived after me & were seen before me. I patiently observed this and thought I will wait to see how my visit goes before I solidify my overall impression. The PA was very informative and nice. Unfortunately she did not identify herself as a PA, just as Jacqueline Levine. They were going to charge me over $100 for simple skin tag removals which I needed to schedule at another visit. I decided i better seek out another dermatologist. Luckily, I did. And am so, so grateful for listening to my instinct. The other office - Skinworks is phenomenal. There is a location in Park Slope for all the Brooklyn folk.

I stated that I have an appointment with Dr. Weinberg. She tells me Dr. Weinberg doesn't come to this office and that I will see a Nurse Practitioner. I said my appointment was with Dr. Weinberg and I prefer a Doctor. Since no Doctor was available, I walked out. I don't like what they did. They were dishonest and I felt like they were trying to get over on me. If they said in the beginning that I would be seeing a Nurse Practitioner, I would have at least had the opportunity to make that decision to see a Nurse Practitioner instead of a Doctor.

I have been seeing Dr. Alan Greenspan for about 25 years. He is an incredible doctor and extremely…read morecaring, kind, and knowledgeable! He is the sole reason due to his persistence in giving me multiple biopsies that we identified that my eczema had progressed into subcutaneous lymphoma. When I was diagnosed by him he seemed more upset by the diagnosis than I was which shows how kind a doctor he is, someone who truly cares about his patients! It usually takes years to diagnose this condition because the biopsies quite often don't immediately show this diagnosis. When none of the eczema treatments worked the way they were supposed to he scratched his head and said I am going to keep poking you with biopsies until we get to the bottom of it - he said sometimes you get lucky on a biopsy and it can show something that the others don't. As it so happened after I hit my head on the side of a steel pole on my dog cage as luck would have it I was due to see him the following week. He took one look at this big awful bump on my head and said what on earth happened and asked me why I didn't come in right away - again this speaks to his truly caring nature! He then immediately said that is not at all normal and took a biopsy of it. This is the one that finally yielded a definitive diagnosis and I was diagnosed with subcutaneous lymphoma - a Stage 2b. He immediately called Dr. Horowitz a world class doctor in this type of cancer at Sloan Kettering and he pulled some strings to get me in there within a week or two - he made sure I was squeezed in. As it so happened Dr. Greenspan went on a trip to Israel when I was scheduled to go to Sloan Kettering and he told me I could call him on Whatsapp during his trip and to let him know what they had to say. I was blown away by his unselfishness and kindness - I can't imagine any other doctor caring so much!!!! I have been getting great treatment since then from Sloan and my condition is under great control. I would highly highly recommend Dr. Greenspan he is a superbly knowledgeable and very caring doctor! He is absolutely a godsend and he quite honestly may have saved my life by identifying the condition before it progressed to my blood and/or organs. I would highly highly recommend if you are not overjoyed with your existing dermatologist that you immediately switch to Dr. Alan Greenspan!!!!!! You won't be disappointed!!! John

The nursing and office staff are also professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. I have been to many dermatologists and found them perfunctory and less than personable. My experiences with Dr. Cerbone have been the exact opposite. I have had serious dermatological issues and am so grateful to have received the excellent care I have with Dr. Cerbone's practice. He remains current in his profession, is prudent in his recommendations, but not without creativity and patient lifestyle considerations in his care plans. It is unfortunate this other reviewer had the experience noted. I hope she gives the practice another shot. I travel more than 20 miles to see Dr. Cerbone and would happily make it 50 if he were to move his office.

He was always one step ahead so I didn't have any issues. He even sat with me after my surgery until I was able to get dressed and he actually helped me! His bedside manor is beyond anything I have ever seen from any Dr. When you visit him, he is kind and very easy to speak with and ask questions without making you feel rushed or like your annoying. When your with him you feel like your his only patient. My results were absolutely amazing from him I look like a whole new person and I really mean that. I was very very overweight and couldn't lose it in the stomach area no matter what I did. I had a c-section and had hanging skin and fat causing me pain in my incision area and he totally removed it and made me FLAT! I was shocked when I woke up and saw the results even the same day of surgery. Now I no longer have to deal with infection issues or pain from that scar and that alone made it worth it! Anytime I went to the office, I never waited more than 10 minutes to see him. The office is so clean and beautiful and the surgical area is immaculately clean and I love that it was right on site. it made it so private and obviously less risk of infection from going into a hospital. His staff is excellent especially Barbra she is SO kind and helpful! Dr. Decorato seriously has changed my life!
