Resteraunt down the the street with cozy atmosphere and happy hour (less than a minute walk). Walgreens within walking distance too. Wonderful staff. Lockers to store ski equipment. We would definitely stay here again- we found our perfect Big Bear hotel. And the breakfast was really good, lots of choices- eggs, eggs with veggies, pancake maker, bread and bagels to toast, bacon or sausage. fresh baked muffins, cereal. Oatmeal.......perfect before skiing. And plenty of water all day and night.

One of my favorite things was the walking path right behind the hotel surrounded by tall pine trees made a peaceful way to start the day. The room was clean. My husband says beds were a little too hard for his liking, but overall comfy and clean. The free breakfast was a nice bonus and really convenient before heading out for the day.. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location is perfect close enough to the village but still quiet and relaxing. This is the place to go, If you're looking for a laid back spot with good vibes and a bit of nature right outside your door.

From the moment we walked into Sierra Blue Hotel & Swim Club, we knew we picked the right place. The aesthetic is incredible -- vintage charm from the original Thundercloud Lodge blended perfectly with modern, rustic chic design. Thoughtful artwork, cozy textures, and designer-inspired rooms make it feel stylish yet warm. It's a full-service hotel right in the heart of the Village -- one short block to the lake, shops, and restaurants (and right across from the bowling alley). Easy parking and EV charging available, which is a huge bonus. Janet, Maddie, and Louie greeted us and were absolutely amazing. Genuine, welcoming, and thoughtful. They even gifted us complimentary mugs and were so kind to our son, giving him a patch for his jacket or hat. That kind of hospitality stands out. And the freshly baked s'mores cookies? Unreal. Warm, gooey, perfectly toasted marshmallow and melted chocolate. Honestly better than DoubleTree cookies -- and yes, even better than the famous Disney park cookies. They're that good. Spotless room, beautiful Village views, pet-friendly, incredible service, and an unbeatable location. Five stars without hesitation. We'll absolutely be back -- especially for those cookies.

We stayed in a kind bed suite room which gave us some extra elbow room. My ONLY complaint was the mattress. It curved in the middle so bad that I woke up with shoulder pain from leaning all night :-/ Our room 367, faced the main hwy but you couldn't hear traffic w/the window closed. These rooms have frig, micro, dishwasher, plates & cups so very convenient when traveling. The front desk staff was very friendly. Our check-in time was 3:00 pm, and we arrived around 3:30 pm with three tired kids hoping to settle in quickly. Unfortunately, our room wasn't ready, so we waited in the lobby. At 4:00 pm we were assigned a room, but it still wasn't finished -- no sheets on the beds, no pillowcases, crumbs in the sink, and hair in the bathroom like someone had recently shaved. It seemed like there was miscommunication between the front desk and housekeeping. We finally got into a fully cleaned room around 4:30 pm. After a long day of traveling with kids, it was definitely disappointing. That said, the staff members who were working truly made a difference. Joshua, who checked us in, was very apologetic. He was the only person working the front desk at the time. He stayed professional the entire time. A huge shoutout also goes to Edwin, who was working unbelievably hard. We saw him helping with rooms, assisting at breakfast, and keeping things running smoothly. His work ethic really stood out and he deserves recognition. Once we settled in, the hotel had lots of positives: The complimentary s'mores kits were a big hit with the kids. Each kit included four marshmallows, one Hershey's bar, and four graham crackers, wrapped in a festive Thanksgiving bag. The outdoor fireplace courtyard is huge and made the experience even better. This was especially great because the little town of Big Bear tends to close early, so having this activity at the hotel was perfect. The pool area was clean and well maintained, which is also perfect option for family with kids (just a way to entertain them while having fun). The complimentary breakfast was also surprisingly good. The waffles were awesome, and there were plenty of options like cereal, oatmeal, eggs, and potatoes. I would love to see a few more condiments added (like mayonnaise or mustard), but overall it was a great breakfast spread. The room layout was spacious, very comfortable, and perfect for a family. Despite the rocky start at check-in, the hotel has a lot of charm, great amenities, and truly hardworking staff members who care.

In search for a healthy beverage, I headed…read moreover to Rewind Collective, because I read somewhere that they have a Golden Milk drink that is worth every drop to make you feel whole again. Upon my arrival I discovered that Rewind Collective is more than a just a organic, healthy, wellness living shop, there are healthy foods pantry staples, herbal tincatures, incense, scented candles, and organic beauty care products as well. However, what was easily noticeable were the selections of carefully crafted acai bowls, toasts, organic coffees, teas, and matcha drinks, and tonics too. Yes, all the good stuff that I like to consume to keep myself healthy. I purchased a few items a bag of Wildly Organic Hot Chocolate to take back home to LA and a Hot Golden Milk to drink while sightseeing the lake. The owner informed me that the Wildly Organic Hot Chocolate is a beverage they serve hot at the shop. She assured me that I will enjoy it. Looking at the ingredients of this product, I was pretty sure that she was right. As for the the Golden Milk, I ordered it hot because it was a frigid cold day and I needed something to warm me up from the inside. The fact that the Golden Milk was made fresh impressed me when I had the first sip. It was reminiscent of the one from Erewon and Whole Foods. The version at Rewind Collective has sharper taste of ginger and plenty warming turmeric spice. The beautiful flower bud on top was a nice touch to look at while sipping this drink. While I wanted to stay in the back patio to slowly enjoy the Golden Milk, I had to get on my merry way to do more sightseeing of Big Bear Lake and eagle/bird watching. Rewind Collective is definitely a place off the beaten path to visit in Big Bear. It was worth dropping by this shop located a few blocks away from the Village.

I'm so glad I went with them instead of self-managing. Their super host status and many great reviews on Airbnb really raised the profile of my new listing. I'm completely blown away with how good they are at their job. Professional & organized & really great at handling the guests. I'm very detail oriented and so are they. They always make sure everything is repaired, and running smoothly. So good with communication. I went through extensive research to find a good management company for my beloved home that I spent 2 years meticulously remodeling. I have several friends in the area with vacation rentals who have tried bigger management companies and it's been a nightmare. Another friend self-manages and she's had 1/2 the amount of bookings as my property, and it's so much work for her. I'm an interior designer, and I really appreciate how thoughtful they are about the aesthetic of each of the cabins in their collection. Very tasteful! They had so many helpful recommendations to get my home rental ready, and were attentive and available from the start.

They re-imagined my cabin with a new design and décor to appeal to those who seek a peaceful nature loving retreat. Starting with a mood board, sourcing unique furniture, linens, décor and plants they personally added their own finishing touches to make it a perfect addition to their Kind Carbineer Cabin collection. During the re-design phase of the cabin, Jessica and Sean visited multiple times to check in and work alongside us during this process. They also took the time to shop and curate décor at antique markets and vintage shops to give the cabin that extra touch. When it came to getting the cabin ready, Sean was there with all the tools and 2 hands to help out! Setting up the supply shed with all the linens, kitchen ware, guest toiletries, paper goods, etc. etc. was a breeze because of his experienced team. Jessica and Sean staged the cabin and took photos of the cabin for the Airbnb listing. The cabin was ready and bookable November 2021 and we were instantly fully booked for the holidays. Jessica and Sean went the extra mile in adding a real Christmas tree and holiday décor to the cabin - guests were so excited! Guests continue to review my cabin as a 5 star stay, and rave about the specially curated cabin décor and outstanding communication and hospitality from Jessica and Sean. Kind Cabineer has firsthand expertise in the Big Bear market and years of experience in revenue management to determine the best price for me as owner to maximize my profits.
