Thank you to Lecia and her team for filling out an order my wedding!…read more Christina C and I recently got married. We were debating what to provide as wedding favors to our guests. It had to be meaningful and practical. We ultimately decided to gift our guests with some spices from our favorite spice shop! When we first started dating, we would often pass by the Costa Mesa location and scour their inventory to make some delicious meals. Since then, we both moved out of the OC and the Costa Mesa location closed. However, our love for Savory hasn't diminished! They make some very nice blends with quality ingredients, and working with their products makes us love cooking even more. As for Lecia and her team, they were outstanding! They overcame some staffing issues, fulfilled our order (Flat Irons Prime Rib Rub & Spiced Vanilla Bean Sugar), and shipped out the spices. There weren't any errors in our order. Moreover, They were efficient and such a pleasure to work with. Christina and I are thankful we were able to work with such a nice team. If you're in the SoCal area and place a large order from Savory, it sounds like your order will be fulfilled by the Palm Springs location. I'm confident they will do a good job. Thanks again!

We started in one corner walked the whole parameter, and then circled back to our favorite spots. Spices really do make food, and imagination is the only limiter. Savory Spice has unlimited options for your imagination and taste buds. The staff was super helpful and it was fun to discuss flavor combinations with her. If staff doesn't offer tastings, you should ask for a taste or two. While raw spices will taste different than when they are cooked, you can still get a sense of what they will be like. This is the place of cooking opportunities.

Was on a work trip to Palm Desert and needed the finest fish I could find. Went to Gelson's and…read morespoke with the meat manager and was left with little confidence. Looked up another high end market in Palm Desert and found Jensen's. Spoke with Alex in the meat Department, and explained my needs for the finest Ahi Tuna and Pacific Halibut. He said, not a problem and it would be in the next day. Went in the next day to pick it up and Alex was there. I wanted to look to make sure, but instead asked him if it looked great. He said, "It looks awesome!" And I walked. Fast forward to the end of the story...it was awesome! Thank you Alex and Jensen's for making it happen. Will not hesitate to come back when in town.

The barbecue items were excellent we had beef, ribs, pork, ribs, barbecue chicken, legs, and thighs, and barbecued sausage. They did not have any other parts of the chicken except for legs and thighs, which we do prefer white meat, but it was very good. I also got some mac & cheese, which my husband liked but I was not a fan. Also, beef ribs are extremely hard to find and they only have them if they get a shipment prior to bbq days so you need to call first. It was absolutely packed at 11:30 on a Saturday. I do not advise you go near lunchtime unless you're ready for a crowd . Previously I had purchased some knockwurst that was on special . We are only used to the Jewish version at Sherman's deli and these were just terrible. I give them one star. I also purchased some veal shanks which no body has and they were pretty good , no complaints. So bottom line is you have to try different things to see what's best for you. But I think it's the best bbq in Coachella valley!

I just happened to come across this wonderful Mexican meat market. I thought tacos should be easy. The people are friendly and helpful (and patient). I purchased the carne asada and pollo Asato, along with all the ceviches and salsas. We also got a large pan of Spanish rice and beans. Everything was fresh and delicious. Someone even helped load up my car. The best thing (besides the quality and people) is that everything we needed was there: fresh tortillas, vegetables, desserts, etc. It made it easy for us since we're not familiar with that area.

He has the worst attitude and no sense of customer service. He should not be assisting customers with anything. He always has a stink face, never greets anyone, and acts as if you are bothering him. The first time it happened I thought I might of caught him on a bad day so I gave him grace. But I've gone there at least twice a month since moving to the area 4 months ago and he's been like that every time. I've even tried making conversation with him but he is just rude and off putting. My guess is he is probably related to the owners or something, because I don't understand how someone with that lack of customer service is still there.

The BEST vegan desserts in town !!…read more THIS is how vegan desserts should be done Located rt next door to Chef Tanya's kitchen It's so hard to find ones that actually taste good and aren't crazy sweet or falling apart... this place nails it. It has lettuce, cabbage, carrots. And some other kind of sweet white vegetable of some sort and cucumbers, and what they are trying to pass off as avocado lol. When somebody pays $17 for a sandwich, you expected to have a little flavor The bread was dry and falling apart with every bite. It taste tasted sour. I don't know if it's meant to be that way or if it's just because the bread is going bad I'm not sure.. The only flavor I got was some sort of spread that they put on, but I only got the flavor and probably three bites out of half of the sandwich at least if there were some pickled onions or some kind of seasoning or Italian dressing or something that would taste good but it really just taste like raw vegetables. I know that's what it is but again for 17 bucks at least put some seasoning on there so it tastes decentO It'll probably be a while before I come back as I don't live close and there's nothing pulling me here anymore Also, I sat at the ice cream counter for almost 5 minutes, waiting to be served so then I had to go wait on the other side and by that point I didn't even order an ice cream - I wasn't sure how much longer it would take...
