The comparably higher price and convincing story about cutting the tree down caused me to pause and have a follow up call with JD. He was pretty patient walking through his logic which started with, "it's a healthy tree with zero evidence of infestation of rot". He then explained how there was a need for a lot of 'cleaning out' of the canopy where main branches grew secondary limbs that had more growth and then dozens of smaller branches. "Air can't flow through, and that's what we'll do". The quote was well done, they arrived on time when promised, and cleaned up very well.
