I hired the Power Rangers for my 4yo bday and it was a hit! Highly recommend Character Masters for your next party! My husband and I joked we would even hire them for our birthdays, ha! You really don't have to be a kid to enjoy the magic they bring. Brandon was an excellent communicator throughout the booking process and you can clearly tell he and his team enjoy what they do. Their website is easy to navigate and the packages are a great deal (trust me I did the research). No hidden fees or unreasonable extra costs. We recently booked the Jurassic World package and they kept the kids entertained the entire time. I love how they create activites based on the characters and movies, but also make them educational and fun. The kids loved being able to dig for dino bones and go on a dino egg hunt (to music too!). Tattoo artist was good - she was able to do a variety of designs and quickly so the kids didn't have to wait in a long line. Owen had a lot of patience and everyone loved him! I also appreciated that they created a schedule in order to not waste any time. I feel like I've seen other companies at parties try to buy time or rely on the host to bring out food/cake before their time is up, and the kids become distracted or bored with the characters. I appreciated that they didn't take advantage and kept things moving (and exciting) the entire time. I would definitely book Character Masters again. We booked CM for my son's 4th birthday and they did such a fantastic job. We had a Transformers/Optimus Prime theme. The performers were so great at directing the kids and getting them involved in the games. Optimus Prime and "Captain Cool" were both very quick on the uptake and careful to preserve the magic for the kids. I was especially happy to see how they went out of their way to make my little guy feel special on his day even though he was really shy and reluctant to talk to them at the beginning. By the end of the hour, he felt like Optimus was his best friend and when he woke up this morning, he asked when Optimus would come back to see him again. Epic! Booked CM for my son's 3rd birthday in his favorite theme - Ghostbusters! I've used other well known children's entertainers before but working with CM was on an entirely different level. Brandon was professional, made it stress free, and completely understood what would work best with this age group and our venue. He made recommendations that made the party such a blast for the kids (and the ghostbuster loving adults). The ghostbuster car was epic! As were the activities. The crew were safe and had such great energy about them. And they entertained for quite some time. Batman was supposed scheduled to be at my son's b-day party at the park from 2-3pm. However, I preferred him arriving at earlier. My contact at Character Masters said that Batman may have a prior gig but would check for me days before the party. It turned out that he was able to schedule Batman to come at 1pm. Come the day of the party, the kids were just finishing up hitting the Batman pinata around 12:59pm, and guess who shows up on point? Batman! He arrived exactly at 1pm and went straight to work by getting the kids lined up for the first of 6 activities. I had about 12 kids, and Batman handled them like a pro! We had Batman for an hour, and he finished all the activities in about 45 minutes, which was plenty time for the 4-year olds. Batman joined in on the birthday song and cake cutting and still had time for photo ops at the end. It was perfectly timed and worth the investment. I'm sure glad I chose a Batman character over a moon bouncer because the kids had way more fun with Batman! read more

We booked the shell shock package. I've been booking characters from various companies in Southern California for many years now and I would say the ninja turtles and April were good but not great. Based on the reviews here I was surprised to see how low energy they were and their voices were so soft that they could not command a room - if you were more than 6' from Leonardo you couldn't hear a word he was saying. My April (who I don't see in any photos in this album on Yelp) was good but not Disney-level entertainment like I've found from other characters over the years. Overall I would still recommend as I feel they were a key part of our party but they rely on their costumes and aesthetics for the party impression more than their acting or personalities. The kids did love the ninja fighting and games with the first two turtles. April's face painting is just masks which I expected but sharing here for others. read more
