I'm pretty glad I got to stop in here today on my New York trip…read more Being from Florida, I asked if there were any other cotton dresses or skirts aside from what was out. It was really nice of Dominique and Amanda to go out of their way and pull various pieces from their back stock for me to try on. Sadly, most of the pieces I really wanted were either much too big or much too small, but thats how vintage goes sometimes. I managed to leave with a 50s cotton dress and a 50s cotton circle skirt, both of which Im very thrilled about. Prices are slightly higher, but overall pretty fair. Theres pieces for every budget in this shop, without a doubt. I'll definitely visit again next time Im in town, and will certainly check out their social media regularly to see if theres anything I might want to have shipped to me. A great shop with great customer service.

I hit the vintage jackpot here!…read more First off, by jackpot- I mean I really got lucky. Shopping vintage is typically hard for me, because I never find anything in my size. Not here! I walked out of this shop with two gorgeous items- both from the clearance rack! Whoa now. I bought an absolutely divine satin and marabou feather wiggle dress from the 50s/60s and a beautiful 80's top with an intricate applique. Although the dress has some tears (which I do not care about) and a hard to see stain (which I also do not care about)- it was an absolute steal at $20! The gorgeous shirt- just $10. Their selection of items is also amazing. The front of the shop is dedicated to vintage reproductions (aka new dresses), and the middle to back is everything vintage- dresses, skirts, pants, sweaters, shoes, jewelry, bags, and even a small men's section! The pricing of everything else was fair- considering their great condition. I was even surprised by the Vintage Repros pricing, as all of them were very affordable! The service was also of course, amazing. The name of the woman who helped me escapes me- but she really was lovely! She offered to hold or put items in the dressing room for me, and checked up on me to make sure everything was ok. It was also just a joy conversating with her! Vintage Pro Shopping Tip: Try before you buy! Definitely take advantage of their fitting room- I almost walked out not buying that dress- because I thought it looked like it wouldn't fit! I can't wait to go back and find another gem at this shop!

From paint, to hardware, to instructions. I had an old piece that came with my house when I moved in. It didn't fit my style or the decor. After showing Amanda pictures on my phone of the piece and the room it was in, she helped set me up with the paint, wax, and brushes, and gave me a little in store tutorial so I could paint my piece with confidence. I was still super nervous when doing it on my own at home, but thanks to my in-store prep and questions, I successfully transformed my piece to something I love that truly reflects my style. Even if you don't have an old piece to DIY, you can still purchase gorgeous pieces redone by the team there. The shop also has antiques, decor items, and even has regular events to DIY your own items like seasonal wreaths and other home decor.

"Wonderful discovery!"…read more This charming little shop is easy to miss -- I've passed it dozens of times. Today, I finally noticed it and decided to stop in to have a look. While it's packed with treasures large and small, it's quite neat and clean. The owner, Betty-Ann, obviously enjoys what she does, takes pride in her shop, and is quite warm and helpful. I purchased a couple of items today and will be back again to discover other unusual treasures.

Many were unmarked, which is upsetting because I saw three or four things I wanted to purchase but don't want to ask the proprietor 15 times "how much is this""?" "How much is this?" "How much is this?" Making up prices on the spur of the moment isn't good for business. So I left empty-handed.

Filled with tchotchkes, vintage ideas, local artisan crafts, and so much more, it really lives up to its name of wit and whim. The two people working at the store were incredibly friendly and did such a wonderful job gift-wrapping the gifts I purchased and I picked up a bunch of business cards from local creators that I wanted to follow and see what else they have in store. A lot of the items don't have prices listed, so you do have to ask which was my only minor grievance. I will definitely make a few more trips here, especially for gifts, when the need arises.

I walked in and the aroma was breathtaking! I asked what the scent was and it was "Winter Forest" by Cow Harbor Candle Co. I bought one little candle to take home to NV. Burning the candle at home, I just couldn't get enough. They were out of Winter Forest, so I ordered an assortment of different scents from the same maker. Unfortunately, when they arrived a few were broken. I spoke to the owner, Jacquelyn, and she immediately replaced the broken candles at no charge, no questions whatsoever. They texted me when more Winter Forest was available. I order more of those too. I think I've gotten about 8 candles and I have to say that these are the BEST SCENTED CANDLES I've EVER had the pleasure to enjoy! Highly recommend this shop, the customer service is fantastic, and I hope to visit Huntington and Wit & Whim again next year. Also, wow has Huntington grown (well of course, in 50 years!) Gorgeous area. And, yes, I found my grandparents home. It's not the same, but I found it!! Ahhh, the childhood memories!!!
