Thoroughly disappointed that not a single employee was wearing CHAPS- nor any patrons of the bar either Sad face. After I picked myself off of this dive bar floor I had to admit that this is a chill bar. Nice bartender, juke box, dark lighting, Spuds McKenzie, and a smoking patio with Cactus. Apparently they use fresh cactus juice in their craft cocktails from the cactus outside. .....just kidding. Our bartenders name was Jose Conseco ( excuse my spelling). I've been here a few times!! Very rude bartenders the women anyways!! My girlfriend and I were stolen from the both times we were there!! We know it was a woman that stayed in an office next door that sold jewelry!! The first time she stole my friends purse the second time my keys just up and disappeared.. they insisted I leave my car there and I just didn't feel safe to do that so I called triple A!! Great local watering hole. We stopped by for a couple cocktails before heading to lunch to celebrate my birthday. Nice patio area, where you can enjoy your drinks and vape/smoke/etc. Friendly "regulars" & we had a fun experience in the early afternoon. Only had been there one time previously, in the evening... with the same type of inviting environment. The only issue was with the pool table, I guess, us ladies were shooting on the only decent table (it was the only one that accepted money easily)... some guys came in and wanted the table, instead of shooting on the 2 empty tables next to us. Found this hidden gem. Dive bars are becoming far & few. I love the vibe here of a traditional 50's type bar with booths along the wall. Comfy. They have a modern jukebox which I was able to play my music with reading the room I played various genre. Service was great and met a few nice people here. I'll be going back. read more

i've been a customer at chappies however i encountered one of the rudest bar tenders there named Coley. She makes you wait for like 15 minutes at the bar while she takes care of the group of people not even sitting at the bar. she told me to go order at her "well" w the group of people there but there's no reason to give up my seat at the actual bar area. she got offended when i asked can i order my drink bc it's ridiculous to wait 15 minutes to ORDER for my first drink. she got offended and assumed i gave her attitude. she said i was in her house and there's 2 doors to exit and finally she kicked us out. She is too emotional and cannot multitask which is not my fault. i only make sure Anthony is there and Katelyn is a good bartender too but not coley. don't waste ur time going in there when she's there. read more

A friend and I stopped in here for a warm beverage during the holiday parade. I've always wanted to see inside here, but there are usually motorcycles out front. I guess this is the Sunday biker spot, but clear the rest of the week. The bartender was nice, and so were some of the patrons. Others were a bit faded and had some boundary issues but nothing bad, just flirting. This is not a place I personally would hang out. It's gotten better in recent years. Not as much a biker bar as it used to be. They have bands on the weekends sometimes but the best night to go is Thursday night. They have a really good DJ after 9pm who caters to the 20 and 30 year old crowd and plays a lot of hip hop and party music. Good place for cheap drinks and fun times! read more

My first memory of this bar came during my sophomore year of high school. I was seated in class on a typical Wednesday morning as my bleary-eyed teacher stumbled into the room, announced that she'd had a rough night at Chappies the evening previous and told us to work quietly out of our books while she recoup'd. It would be another six years before I would be able to legally partake in the same, hangover-inducing, career-impeding magic offered up by Chappies. The bar has all the makings of a stereotypical dive: blacked out windows, red Naugahyde booths, a regular clientele, schizophrenic wall décor, cheap booze, etc. Similarly, the crowd can be a tad rough around the edges and the average barfly here probably has fewer teeth than the front row of a Willie Nelson concert. In short, this place has personality. Of course, asking which bar in Hemet is the best is akin to asking which Jonas Brother is the least gay; still, Chappies has long stood its ground as a monumental pillar in the Hemet nightlife. read more

You can't say Chappies is ghetto because let's face it, it's in Hemet and 60 percent of Hemet is ghetto. But it is pretty run down inside. The drinks are reasonably priced and the bartenders are friendly. This is not somewhere you seek to go out to, its more like you end up here. read more

Old bar, cramped space to move around in except out on the patio. The patrons (20s to 60s) were very cliquish and not friendly, staff was ok though. Good bands ,Rocky Zharp, but with no space they have to play in the middle of a hallway and had to move just to let patrons get to the bathrooms.
