The ambiance inside is great, but sitting outside and enjoying a warm spring evening is just the best. The pizzas are baked in a rustic wood fire oven that gives it the perfect crust. A bit crunchy, but chewy, thin and full of flavor. The toppings are creative and harmonic. The size is decent! We chose the Estevia which had a huge Burrata cheese with arugula, pine nuts and fresh tomatoes. It was so extremely good. Unbelievably! The staff is great and very attentive. I will be back soon for sure. I need to try their bestseller: Figs, goat cheese and honey. It already sounds like heaven. I highly recommend this place and all of their gorgeous pizzas.

The owner was nice and the place was really cute and clean, even though we took the food to go. The pizzas are really big! The best part is that these huge pizzas are only 4-5 euros each - not the slice but the whole thing. Make sure to go to this place if you are in Vienna, especially if you are looking for something inexpensive and fresh.

Yeah, that was the day my friend and I had in Vienna a couple weeks ago. As we made our way back to the hotel, we tried and failed repeatedly to find open eateries still serving food. We would've settled for gas station grub, but that didn't even seem to be an option! Eventually, as we reached the same block as our hotel, we noticed someone working in Pizzeria Riva Italia, so we walked in to inquire as to if they were still open or not. They weren't. They had closed an hour prior. But the SUPER nice guy working asked us what we wanted and said he'd whip up a pizza of our choice. We quickly decided on the four cheese and he got right to making it...with a smile! What!! Aside: I love Vienna. I think the city is just incredible and I've never met such a friendly local population. So anyway, as my friend and I waited, we decided to pool for a big tip. This guy deserved it! So that's what we did a moment later when our hot, delectable pizza was ready to go. Except he wasn't having it. He ordered us to take canned sodas to go too!! We brought our food back to the hotel and basically inhaled it. Every bite was totally delicious...and the experience was made even better by the selfless, friendly guy working that night. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

We certainly understand that when a place is busy and you come without reservations, they can say that they regret that there is no space, though we were not even offered an opportunity to wait for a table. That was not a major concern, and in fact we returned on a very non-busy weekday evening a few days later, rather early, and while there was almost nobody at the restaurant. This time, again, we were summarily dismissed, but in a way that was so curt and rude that we felt relieved to have not been chased out with a broom as if we were a rat trying to sneak around the kitchen. Frankly, both my wife and I felt as if we were being discriminated against, perhaps for being American. Regardless, it was so rude that we felt that it merited the restaurant being called out for being unacceptable. In the unlikely event that the entire, currently empty restaurant was reserved in the next hour, we would have been fine with a patient apology and explanation.

The octopus salad was the highlight of the meal. Typical of most regions, but seasoned very well. We asked for a local variety of red wine and were brought the house wine. It was certainly nothing special, but drinkable nonetheless. Not what I was looking for. Both my colleague and me were not impressed with the main courses. I was supposed to have Wasabi mashed potatoes but there was no hint of Wasabi. In addition to the average meal the service was lacking somehow. Although the staff was very helpful when they were there, they were hardly there. Hardly in view in fact to ask for something.
