Comprehensive dental care with the latest technology. Best dental hygienist I've ever had. Evelyn provides thorough dental care instructions and expert cleaning. She has provided me with more dental information than most of my prior dentists. Chao dental office environment is clean, polite and professional. I've only talked to the dentist once at the initial visit. Dr. Chao suggested Invisalign again even though I've already had Invisalign treatment with another dentist. Overall the dental practice is good, but they like to sell you extra services that insurance doesn't cover. read more

Soooo.... I've been a bad patient and let my molar's cavities turn for the worst and now I needed a root canal as the fillings cracked and my tooth was becoming inflamed and sensitive to cold, hot and chewing. Yikes! I informed Dr. Chao, who was very concerned about my well being. Her compassion and kindness to the patients, is one of the reason I'd probably keep coming back here, even if I moved to Miami! Anyway back to my treatment today! Dr. Chao was very patient, very gentle with the loads of numbing I needed due to sensitivity. Her and the RDA Lydia were so kind to me, as I winced thru pain, acted like a scared big baby that I am, and we hammered thru the 2.5 hrs treatment of my RCT. I've had two prior RCTs with two different dentists, but having it treated by Dr. Chao (no biased here) was truly my most unforgettable experience due to the pain and me ignoring a visit for nearly a year. I swear, I felt so bad bringing in a case like mine to any dental office, and I know it'd have to be a place I felt at ease, had precision skills and all that jazz. Did I tell you I really felt bad for the difficult treatment Dr. Chao and Lydia had to endure? Yes! But honestly with the pain of my molar for x amount of months, I haven't been able to chew on it and haven't smiled well because of it. Thanks Dr. Chao for bringing my smile and chewing ability back. Now I know I still have a crown appt in a few weeks, but even with just today's visit, I am so happy and the pain of the nerves are no longer there. Dr. Chao and her office is not only the best dental clinic I've gone to, not only the best in the South Bay, I really want to call it like I see it, it's the best dental office in the whole wide world. Honestly, the best dental office I have ever been to! I've been coming here for a little over a few years now and I've never had any complaints. The staff is so friendly, patient, and they go above and beyond to make sure I'm comfortable. They have so much patience with my little one who is a little scared of the dentist but they make him feel more at ease and give him the time he needs to get used what's going on each visit he has. Yesterday I had an appointment for a cleaning and for a filling on a root canal. Dr. Ahn did the filling and then proceeded to measure my gums. One of my gums was a 6, which is too high. Dr. Ahn then went into a 10-15 minute tutorial on how I should care for my teeth. She talked to me as someone would to a 5 year old (i.e., someone who was just learning how to brush). The dental hygenist took over to do my cleaning. Dr. Ahn left. The dental hygenist (and I'm sorry I didn't get her name), was OUTSTANDING. She looked at my chart, looked at the tooth/gum and commented that at a recent, previous visit the tooth and gum were good. She said that it was a drastic change for a short period of time. She inspected the tooth/gum. She discovered that there was something lodged in the gum pocket. She did a deep cleaning and then scheduled me for a follow up to make sure that did the trick. (She said she thought it would.) If I were to rate the dental hygenist, I would give her a 5+!! The dental hygenist was oustanding. She looked at my history, thoroughly inspected the tooth/gum, and quickly identified the issue. She was professional, treated me like an adult, and knew what she was doing. If I were to rate the dentist I saw yesterday, Dr. Ahn, I would giver her a 1. She was nice, but I was very dissatisfied with her service. I've been a patient at this office for over 30 years, seeing Dr. Plummer before Dr. Chao took over. One look at my chart and my teeth (with the exception of the one gum pocket that was inflamed), you could tell that I do take care of my teeth. I didn't appreciate being treated like a child. Also, the fact that Dr. Ahn didn't look at my history and see that the tooth/gum was fine in the fall, nor did she catch that there was something lodged in the gum (esp. after measuring the gum pocket), gives me little faith in her knowledge of patient care. read more

How often does someone actually take the time to write a review for a dentist?? If they can make someone like me feel good about going to the dentist for me I'm sure you'll have a great experience with them as well. Dr. Chao and her staff deserve it though and they are just absolutely wonderful. They explain everything ahead of time to make sure you're comfortable. They helped me visibly see the difference regular flossing makes and start my habit change. They don't make you feel guilty when you slip here or there either. read more

Came here for the first time a week ago, I am totally wowed by it! 1) Since we are still in the age of covid, I was a little afraid of seeing the dr in general. Upon arriving, all checkin-ins are contactless (I.e., temperature check, filling out the forms), the office is super clean and has good air flow, lots of sanitizing and wiping down the surfaces, etc. 2) My hygienist Jessica is so good. She's very gentle and kept me well informed during the cleaning. 3) Dr Chao really listened to my concerned, took the time and answered all my questions and gave great advice. 4) The overall environment is very calming and you can really tell they care about patients healthy and well-being. Thanks a bunch! I think a part of me will probably always be a little tense when seeing the dentist (lots cavities in the past and the crown) but I am kinda looking forward to my next visit now haha! :) read more

Had a very good teeth cleaning. The dental hygienist has a good touch. She makes the session pretty stress free. With the pandemic they can't use the pressurized water and have to fall back on the manual method. I've been going to this same office for more years than I want to mention here -- ok it's been 44 years. I used to work down the street. The practice has obviously changed hands several times during that period. I've always had excellent care the entire time. That's why I've stayed. (I don't even live or work near here any more). Dr. Chao is no exception. I feel that I'm in great hands with Dr. Chao and her staff. Everyone is so friendly. Technology has definitely changed/improved over time. Dr. Chao has invested in these improvements. Things that would normally take two visits to complete in the past can now be done same-day. I've had Evelyn as my hygienist the last two visits. She does an excellent job. She also encourages better performance on my part without making me feel bad for my obvious lack of performance. I appreciate that. I had a chipped tooth and they were able to deal with it right away. Everyone was personable and made me feel at ease. Unfriendly and unconsidered receptionist. Asking one question, resulted in appointment requirement which took multiple unreturned calls and few weeks. Did not inform about a charge prior to appointment. Same goes for Ms. Plummer. No attention or addressing customer's questions, rather random unrelated chit chat. Waisted my time and money to get a simple question answered which at the end of the visit and plenty of pointless talk, took one minute to answer.
