Spokane has been pounded with 20-35" of snow (depending where you live) in the last 2 days. Kudos to KREM for great weather coverage! Granted, do we really need 8 hours of continuous coverage? Either way, they've got every last reporter out on the streets with a smile on their faces. Special "good job" to Sten Walstrom who went on at 4am yesterday, took a short nap after the Noon show and was back out there at 3pm through the evening broadcasts. And could anyone be more chipper than Laura Papetti in all this snow? I mean she is from Alaska, but good golly she is happy! It may be 10 degrees outside, but KREM warms my heart! read more

KREM fired their meteorologist because he mentioned global warming. Trump's influence over our local broadcaster is disheartening. Jeremy is a really good meteorologist. He deserves a better employer. This means the news is also influenced. I no longer get any of my news or weather from KREM. Also, this app doesn't even have search capabilities. read more

I have been a loyal viewer of Krem 2 since 2020, when they brought on Jeremy Lagoo. He was fun, informative, and interactive, always going a step further and informing us how our overall weather system actually works. I found his approach to be honest & factful, he had a way of making the weather reports actually interesting & I looked forward to the weather segment daily. Obviously Krem 2 thought highly of him as well as he was their chief meteorologist. So I am absolutely disgusted to hear that Jeremy is no longer with Krem 2, whats even worse is the ridiculous reasoning behind their decision. Shame on you Krem 2 for not standing behind Jeremy, whom in my opinion, as well as many others, was the best meteorologist you've ever had at this station. What a loss for Krem 2...I will no longer watch this channel and cant stand to watch the replacement they brought in. read more

I used to love KREM 2. Now I avoid it. Why? Because Jeremy LaGoo is unprofessional, and often incorrect. He does these little rogue predictions that are almost always wrong. Moreover, he thinks he's funny, but he ain't. And trust me, just about everyone I talk to thinks the same way. So pleeeeease get rid of this pathetic fraud so I, and thousands of others, can go back to watching KREM 2's local newscast! read more

I value having this station keep a local flavor. The anchors and Jeremy Lagoo provide news and weather in the context of local residents/neighbors. We could get news and weather elsewhere, but I trust Jeremy's analysis of the weather conditions and he makes it fun too. We also appreciate that KREM feels like it's genuinely part of the community. Your weather person is a joke. I can't watch anymore. So unprofessional. Lagoo needs to learn to deliver the weather without all of his own personal, childish comments. We watched for awhile just to make fun of him but can't handle it anymore. Switching stations. read more

08DEC Twice within one hour CBS morning show concern important news on elderly and then children cut for a commercial break. BTW your every morning tease THERE ARE ALOT OF IMPORTANT NEWS STORIES " followed by a story on book giveaway-- for gods sake this is not Chicago Houston LA. The roku app as well as the krem2.com has got to be run by adolescents not teenagers adolescents with commercials repeating 5 or more times in a row to them skipping like a scratched record not to mention the volume on the TV blasts when a commercial comes on and no replay of the weekend news it really seems like adolescents run it and they don't plan on fixing it so unprofessional. read more

Every day around the same time in the morning my TV will receive no signal from KREM 2 and just go off the air for most of the day? It is happening more frequently now around 9:am to 10:am, sometimes earlier. I don't know when it comes back because I change the channel. I have Roku and I am connected to Comcast for wifi. Are other viewers experiencing this and why can't you fix it? read more

The guy below is an idiot... Thank you for continuing to attempt to give people facts about the coronavirus - also, you have called it COVID-19 and SARS-CoV2, all are correct. If someone is going to call someone names, they should at least get their information correct and their grammar on point. Krem2 and UPWITHKREM is honestly the best station in Spokane. KHQ wants to be a type of entertainment news, and I'm sorry, but KXLY is just weird. I mean, they WERE the only ones left in the city for the "Mayor" to turn to after she was fired from both KHQ & Krem - I think it's saying more about you when you're fired from two places, just saying. Way too many commercials touting themselves, to where they come off as pompous and self absorbed. I'm trying to watch news, not be berated by personal stories. It's all a bunch of fluff, and I don't need that over my eyes. Quit bragging and tell the news. I don't need you telling me how good your news is when you can't even back it up. In response to Teresa F review - amen sister. Tom Sherry KREM www.krem.com Doesn't it seam like the several weathermen in town may have also been the class clowns? Tom Sherry has a big personality on the small screen. But blaming it on the weatherman seams a little difficult in this case. Besides predicting the skies, he's famous for his signature backyard BBQ sauce and the annual Tom's Turkey Drive benefiting local food banks. Weather or not he gets the conditions exactly right doesn't really matter now does it. You can always go look out your window. Nadine Woodward Don't you think its funny when you see her outside of your TV and you feel like you know her? Thankfully you quickly realize you've never actually met before approaching her. Well the nice thing about Nadine if you did walk up and start talking, she's just as friendly as she appears to be on the local news. Just try and remember just because you see her on a daily basis, she may not know you. Okay I do miss and liked Charles Rowe on KREM. But I may not love him the same way Teresa F. does. read more

I've watched KREM for over 50 years, no more! Watered down to no news some of the worst follow up I've experienced yet. In the last 3-4 years the quality of the reporting is in the toilet you can't even get a reporter that can present the news without reading from a cell phone. read more

Maybe it works for those who live in town, but nowhere out of town. Does not get received North and Northeast. That's owned by KXLY that has antenna on Mt. Spokane. The only other is IPTV on Channel 26. All the rest is non-existent. Sponsors paying for air time should be made aware of this in times of "Cable Cutting". read more

If you're looking for unbiased news, this is NOT the station to watch. The worse "news" station I've ever watched since there are no "news" worthy stories to report. Instead they interject opinion/editorials and present it as factual. The morning version (KREM 22) has the worst "news" crew I've ever watched; nothing but PC nonsense along with "reporters" who fit their mold. Don'e waste your time or electricity read more

I believe Krem 2 in, Spokane is the most watched newscast in the area. But they really aren't keeping up on their weather page with the latest's weather updates. You go there and check the 7 day weather forecast on the weekend and no one is updating it. It still has the weather forecast for two days ago as part of the 7 day forecast. Which means no one updates it on the weekend. So I started to go to the other two newscast sites for more current updates. read more

KREM 2 is the CBS affiliate serving the Inland Northwest. Rooted in Spokane, the station has a rich history of serving the Spokane-Coeur d'Alene region for nearly 60 years. News broadcasts can be watched on KREM 2 and KSKN 22. The station is also carried on cable systems in Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta.

History

Established in 1954.

It all began October 29, 1954 when the station hit the air. KREM 2 began as an ABC and DuMont Network affiliate. In the late 1950s, the station was briefly affiliated with the NTA Film Network. KREM 2 became a CBS affiliate in August 1976. KREM was originally owned by a radio group. The radio stations were sold off in 1984. During the nearly 60 history, KREM 2 has captured the World's Fair, presidential visits, Ice Storm, Fire Storm, and Carlton Complex. Our deep roots in the region inspire meaningful contributions to the community we live and work in. KREM 2's community partners are non-profit organizations doing incredible work in social services, education, disease prevention, civic engagement and more. KREM serves the community annually through Tom's Turkey Drive which fed 11,000 people in 2014. The station also supports Diaper Drive, Tree of Sharing and Honor Flight.

The "district manager" will never return your call. I finally cancelled my subscription when the carrier broke the front window of my home and just drove off even though "she said her hand slipped and she thought she might've broken something." Again, customer service was sluggish and poor, but the window ultimately got fixed with insistence from my husband. Boo to you, spokesman review, service matters and print is dead. Probably should make some efforts before you lose more customers.

I'm actually following a lawsuit against Krem 2 for discrimination complicity to first degree rape and completely to other sexual abuse charges and physical abuse charges. They're going to stop what was happening to me after the first two sexual abuse cases Instead they're discriminated against me I was abused sexually in three different hospitals Deaconess hospital I was raped by their staff brutally. And Inland behavioral health and Smokey point I was assaulted there every time I went there to. They forced me to strip naked for no reason These events continue to happen same with the physical abuse because these people that are supposed to tell us about what's happening in our community try to hide it. Re: Is it mandatory that the various hand gestures used during dialog delivery, which you were taught in Journalism 101, be utilized in EVERY segment?? Additionally, you are reading dialog off of a monitor, correct? How difficult is that? Do you realize what that does to the listener and content continuity when you stumble every few sentences? Don't think the "news team" realizes it but they have created a bit of hysteria with their report on the coronavirus. It seems no one on the news staff knows the proper name of the virus since they continue ti call it the "coronavirius." All the news and talk that's fit to miss, Also Leslie Low is horrible at weather. I am sure she is not a meteorologist. She is not articulate and I cannot listen to her screeching voice. The local shows are horrible. ..... I turn it on at 906am and off before coast to coast. The local commercials are so bad and unprofessional. So, I give 5 stars to national shows and local? 0 stars

(and it shows, it has a great layout and quirky art design) I'm not big into the Spokane music scene, I confess. However, this little periodical makes me want to be! The issue I have is "issue 03: April 7th-20th" I'm not sure where you can procure copies, but Baby Bar is probably a good start.

A Welcome Distraction From Monotony…read more SITREP I'm sitting in Spokane Airport and the WiFi portal is not working, and it's a "Pay-BOING" one to boot. The most I can do at this point is make sure that my iPhone and back-up battery are charged up from using the wall outlets. [Apparently this airport doesn't believe in Laptop stool bars like other airports - THAT's another review.] Thank GOD for the CNBC News Feed! THE SET-UP I got to fritter away my time waiting for my SouthWest trip to Sacramento (via PHOENIX - THAT's another review too), and it made for a more pleasant passage of time. THE LOWDOWN I'll take the news anyday over virtual boredom sitting (sort of) on a shelf while my phone charges.

They tell everyone they are down to the last spot. Then offer buy 1, get 1 or 1 for half off, as if…read moreit's a special deal but that's the standard offer. They use that as a way to pressure people to sign the contract on the spot. Call the other businesses on the TV's and ask them if they had the same experience. 100% of them will tell you the same story. Even at their "special" rate, it's WAY over priced for what you actually get. I would avoid this company.

One of their sales people came to my shop to sell advertising…read more It sounded alright but I had one question, will there be any other mechanic shops on the advertisement. She told me there was one other but she thought they were about done using their services. I figured, that's fine, let's do it. Once my ad came out I saw there were 4 shops on the ad out of only 12 businesses! I called the salesperson and talked to her about it and she wasn't willing to help at all so I figured I'd call the manager, he didn't answer or call me back. WASTE OF MONEY!
