Let's face it. Radio sucks bigtime in Spokane! The only decent stations in town are the NPR station…read moreand this one. KYRS is the community run radio station here in town. They do a good job being the local counterweight to the endless right-wing drivel from Rush, Bill O, and the horrible music that seems to be off of the same playlist from 2003 including the endless Nickelback songs! KYRS is very eclectic as it is informative. My favorite shows are Democracy Now! and Sonic Trash. The Edge is also a good show too. So if you are ever in the Lilac City and you are struggling to find a halfway decent station, look no further than 92.3 or 88.1 on your FM dial. It's as great as it gets!

THE SET-UP I got to fritter away my time waiting for my SouthWest trip to Sacramento (via PHOENIX - THAT's another review too), and it made for a more pleasant passage of time. THE LOWDOWN I'll take the news anyday over virtual boredom sitting (sort of) on a shelf while my phone charges.
