Wow, the pompous attitude of the woman working this afternoon, Sat 2/1 around 2pm. You are there to work and help those who come into the shop. Stop with the attitude...you work hourly retail! My goodness. Also, about 70% are cheap items (trying to pass off as high-end) and not in great shape. Between the terrible, arrogant attitude and poor selection, better to skip this store. read more

I stop by Changing Hands every year and leave room in my suitcase because I always have luck there. Kathy is always helpful in finding amazing and beautifully well taken care of pieces to add to my wardrobe. What I love about shopping there is that Kathy is honest in what looks good on me. I respect the fact that she cares more about finding a piece that looks good on me rather than making random sales that I will regret. This year we surprised her with a visit in early Fall with several new friends. The six of us each got a bag full of goodies everything there was not much inventory. I would not recommend this store. I walked in today to inquire about consignment with this store. The woman working (who I assume was the owner) was not friendly at all. I felt like I was a complete inconvenience to her. She wasn't interested in what I was looking to consign, which is no problem at all. I took them to the other consignment store in town and had a much better experience. read more

The owner of Changing Hands needs to change her attitude or at least work on her interpersonal skills. I called to inquire about consigning some men's suits and dress shirts (Zanella), as well as a women's leather Ralph Lauren Jacket and Micael Kors dress. Without even seeing them, she replied "yeah, I think I'll pass". When pressed she explained that she only has room for men's used ski clothes in the winter, and only casual clothes for women. So beware before you go in to buy or consign about her merchandise. She could have been a little nicer in her communication, it would help her business. I have been visiting Changing Hands for more than 10 years. Cathy has the best selection and quality of consignment merchandise I've ever seen. Best is that Cathy will tell you how you look with total honesty. She's actually talked me out of purchases. I look forward to visiting the shop every year. read more

We entered the shop on 05Jan2018. Three females ecstatic to do some shopping, excited to spend some money. The woman who ran the shop was extremely rude the whole time. She was rushing the ladies to get out of the store because she was scheduled to close. These are paying customers I must add. At the end of this unrealistically experience, she refused to sell an item to someone we were with because the price tag didn't correlAte with items. Instead of working It out she denied to look it up and sell it. This shop should be shut down or the owner needs to be changed. Being a place with so many tourists I'm surprised that this place is still in business. Retail is a tough business but if you are in it you. Know that dealing with people is your number one priority. read more

I was on ski vacation w/my family last week. My daughter & I went to Changing Hands on Sat Dec 28th & had a wonderful experience, so good I went back to my family and bragged about how wonderful this place was. two days later, on Monday am the 30th, I took the whole family back, intending to buy clothes to ship home. I found a wonderful coat that had something in the pocket & when I pulled it out, it disintegrated and made a mess on the floor. The woman who was working at the time(a different worker who had not spoken to us up to this incident), was the rudest lady I've ever come across in a store. I offered to help her vacuum, handed her back the coat & told her I wanted to buy it after she emptied the contents of the pockets, & she wouldn't let me buy it. She told me to come back later, that she couldn't run a business with a mess on the floor. I couldn't come back b/c I was flying out that day. I told her again that I wanted to buy the coat & she basically wouldn't let me. It was the most insane lack of customer service I've EVER experienced in my 52 years. I would LOVE to know if this is the actual owner of this consignment shop. If so, she needs to definitely retire, as she was a BIATCH!!! I rarely get angry, & was in retail for 5 years, & would have been fired on the spot if I treated a customer like that. I was fuming when I left! read more

I have been coming to this store for a long time. The owner manages and works at the store herself. She has a poignant sense of taste and although I am disappointed when she doesn't consign all of my items. I understand her reasoning. The store is very cute and caters to the a variety of tastes from sophisticated to trendy. I recommend it to a lot of locals and tourists. read more

I kind of wandered in here to find an animal print outfit. I walked out not only with my leopard print dress for the going away party I was attending, but wound up with two more amazingly cute dresses as well! I had to tell myself to stop looking before I went broke... Lots of adorable, well-taken care of clothing items that are mostly an excellent deal. A few pieces seemed a bit pricey, but it's the thrill of the find that makes getting thrifty so much fun. I found my treasure - come find yours! read more

We wandered in here searching for some cheap cloths and were pleasantly surprised! I spent $50 and got a skirt and like 3 shirts. It was wonderful! She gave us discounts and was so kind and gave us a free tank top! Wonderful store. I am going back for sure! read more

I was appalled by the rudeness of the shop owner when I visited this store. I advise that you do not waste your time here.

I would give this shop no stars if Yelp would allow me. The two most recent reviews talking about the shop owner being "nice" and "easy to work with" must be her family trying to get her rep up or someone paid to leave a review. You are a business owner. If you don't like people or working long hours; don't own a store. Point blank. Period. The moment my sister, her friend, my stepmom and I walked in she was condescending and plain rude. The worst part is that my sister and step mom visited this store last year and remember the amazing finds, but it wasn't until we left the store that they remembered how rude she was their last visit. I would have never spent a dime in this store had I realized what an ugly, shrewd, and tasteless the store owner was. The first thing she said when we walked in is how "picked over" everything was and how we were "late to the party". Oh, I'm sorry? I overheard her on the phone while I was in there telling someone she was going to "be a while." You have five people in your store trying to spend money and you're mad about it? Um, what? She rolled her eyes when my sisters friend, a gorgeous wealthy architect asked to try and expensive coat on. WHO DOES SHE THINK SHE IS?! I was so mad when I left I couldn't breath. I think of myself as a good tempered person. I had to walk out. My step mother asked where the nearest bathroom was and she told her if she left the store she would be locked out. She eventually refused to sell a sweater to my sisters friend because it didn't have a tag and she didn't have a chance to look up how much it was worth. She just didn't want to be there anymore. DO NOT spend your money supporting this woman's store. She needs to be put out of business. read more

Small, cramped shop, clothes 10 years out of style, really overpriced (I know it's Park City, but come on - $300 for a pair of outdated, scratched sunglasses?), and the woman working there didn't even acknowledge I was in the store, let alone make any attempt at customer service. read more

I've been buying things at Changing Hands for 20 years: silver earrings, vintage ski sweaters, parkas, handbags, shirts, scarves, costume jewelry, etc. Wear it once or twice and if I'm not thrilled... I donate it to another (less trendy) thrift store and don't berate myself over the money spent. read more

I have bought many things from there. It is my friend groups first place to look if we need something as its often expensive articles of clothing for soooo much less. some of it still has the store tags on it....never been worn. I have no idea what the one lady is saying about the owner not being friendly. She is always helping me find something that would look great on me. Not pushy but has a good eye. Owner is a rude old lady. The store smells like an old woman's house. She didn't want to be bothered from reading her novel to greet me as a customer and wasn't even willing to look at the items I brought to consign. She quickly glanced at the box of items I brought in, saying 'they need to be current' as I looked around the store at vintage clothing on every rack. A few of the items I had were only purchased a year ago so not sure how they wouldn't be current. People like her don't deserve honest people's time or money! Eww. read more

The only thing that should change hands at this place is the keys...to a new owners pocket. We had a terrible experience with the owner who made us feel like a nuisance the whole time we were there. She also was reluctant to let us try on an expensive ski jacket because she misjudged us as not having enough money to purchase her precious used clothing. I have found some good buys in here over the years, but lately they seem rather too far gone on attitude -- they pay too much rent for what they are, I would guess; after all is said and done, it isn't much of a bargain after all. they presume to be "designer" selling other people's mistakes. I think it is time they rethink their place as a used clothing store -- not much competition for the Christian Center, who are real and authentic and fun. No fun here. read more

Fantastic shop. The store owner is lovely and helpful. I only visit Park City a handful of times every year, and this store makes me want to come back more often. I went on an unexpected shopping spree and left with two beautiful handbags, earrings, and a leather jacket. The owner knew exactly what I was looking for after a two minute conversation.
