Lindsay Tanner seemed extremely inexperienced and unprofessional…read more It's a small individual room inside a suite of small individual rooms. Glass door with people walking back and forth right outside. It has taken them three months to simply run my insurance and send me a bill, and now you can add them running my card without permission to the issues with these idiots. Seems like a very unprofessional, incompetent bunch. Don't go here. Don't waste your time or money.

Even when I am trying not to register anything, he can see it in my eyes or in how I am breathing. His past experience working in an emergency room, with sex offenders, and in private practice for a number of years, along with his degrees in psychology, human development, and social work, give him wisdom and perspective that is unmatched. I trust Fred. He has worked with several members of my family. He tries to keep some humor in his practice so things aren't so heavy, because when people are depressed and anxious, a little lightheartedness can be a great thing. I have been seeing Fred for PTSD, bulimia, anxiety, codependency, and more, as well as seeing him with my husband for a while for marriage therapy. I can't recommend him highly enough. I had a friend who was looking for some help for his young adult son who had crippling mental health issues, and I told him I had the best therapist ever. He decided to look into it. My friend came back to me a couple months later and said that finding Fred had changed their family's life. He was beyond grateful for the recommendation. Fred can take on the hard cases, and he is a talented professional who has a unique way about him. He doesn't coddle us because that's not what we need. He is knowledgeable and intuitive. He may not be the right therapist for everyone, but I have been to a lot of therapists and he's definitely head and shoulders above the rest in my book.

Save yourself a ton of time and frustration by simply seeking out a solo therapist with good…read morereviews in the area, because in my experience, a solo therapist with good reviews is much more likely to respond to your message and follow through than this chaotic, incompetent agency. I spent over 3 months trying to get started with therapy @ Healing Pathways, and they repeatedly didn't follow through so I finally wised up and went elsewhere. They never answer the phone. Their voicemail message asks you to leave a message, text or email them which I did multiple times before receiving a response. When they finally sent a message responding, it was clear they not listened to/read any of my messages, asked me what I was contacting them about it and asked me to call them at the same number (that they never answer) which I did and received no response. I had to email, text and call several more times before receiving a response. When I did receive communication from someone, the message didn't identify who was sending/leaving the message and I received vastly different information from one person/message to the next. At one point, I was told they had scheduled some appointments for me that they ended up canceling, without communicating a reason to me. They told me they would get back with me to reschedule and never did. I wish I would've sought out a solo therapist with good reviews in the first place who doesn't drop the ball, which would have saved me a so much time and frustration, and many months of my life!

I found these folks after an exhausting internet and personal search. I will say hands down this is…read morethe best run facility in SLC. Unlike other support groups that you sit around in a circle and hash out your war stories for 3 hours ( which is helpful to no one) this facility treats the whole person. with on-site doctors, behavioral specialists, psychologists, and an easy flexible schedule for folks who have to work and have a family. Other places are so regimented it's almost impossible to have a full-time job and get help.. not here.. The staff is so caring and the owner is one of a kind gem, Michelle really cares about us all... I have never felt more supported and loved :) thank you Pathways!!!!

She (my friend) met with them only to be pressured to join their program and going so far as to convey she would never get better if she refused to join. Now, I know some programs are great in helping someone in need, however, everyone is different!! What works for one person may not work for another. My friend was very willing to work with a therapist with Pathways (that willingness is 1/2 the battle and should be seized upon!) but on her own terms...not in a program that was so extensive that she'd have to miss work. They did not seem to like that. I find that odd to say the least. My friend had lots of questions that were met with lots of words but none of which answered those questions. Vague answers are NOT a good sign of a counseling center you could trust. Transparency is crucial! Another concern...no follow-up. Promises of calling my friend were unmet. When she called them they said they had called and left a voicemail. She checked and saw no indication of a call from them. Despite this my friend tried again speaking with a representative at Pathways but again no help. I don't know if places such as Pathways Real Life Recovery are regulated. If they're not they certainly should be! Read past employee reviews on Indeed...kinda scary. As far as I'm concerned, they failed my dear friend. Glad they may have helped others but if I were you I'd investigate this place thoroughly before getting involved with them.
