Paid about $489 HKD ($60 USD) for a pair of Birkenstocks and $200 something HKD for the Arnold Palmer heel sandal. However, this shopping centre gets intensely packed. We visited on a Monday, and it was still way too crowded inside. The combination of the heavy crowds and the unique spiral layout actually made me feel a bit dizzy while navigating the floors. On the plus side, there is a great variety of shopping options, from upscale retailers to trendy boutiques, along with a movie theater and plenty of standalone restaurants. That being said, the actual food court area felt surprisingly small for a mall of this scale. We ultimately didn't spend much time here because it was a bit overwhelming, and we preferred to walk around the vibrant open-air spots nearby in Mong Kok. It is worth a quick look for the design, but be prepared for major foot traffic.

This Toysrus is probably the oldest branch in Hong Kong and it has seen both the good times and the bad times. A few years ago toysrus was an expansion spree and they were opening up all over the place. Fast forward to 2014 and they have now decided to reduce themselves to the main locations and this shop has to be the daddy of them all. I say this because for the past 20 odd years its been in the same position and has remained just as big as I can remember it. There are now of course more diversification including a section devoted to toddlers- Babiesrus- this is simply another ploy to sell more baby related items which seem to be best sellers. The main focus is on kids and coming here you will always find stuff that you wish you had as a kid, dinosaurs, light sabers and huge electric cars for kids. The good thing with toysrus is that they always have stuff on show and you can play around with it for as long as you like. For lego lovers there is also a section devoted to the yellow brick and there is a full scale model of Hong Kong landmarks and a millennium falcon. A must see and your kids will be full entertained for hours on end. People keep saying that big shops like these are killing off small shops-they might be. My opinion though? The bigger the better and the cheaper the merrier.

My mom is a gold member at the point because of how much we go to this mall monthly. I personally live in sha tin district and it's the closest nicest mall near me. For me I'm a girl and the girls toilets are always full. Like you gotta wait in line bud, the line is very long until door area. The fact that this mall has an instrument store made it better. Becuase me I live with a 3 year old and can't buy instruments becuase the 3 year old will destroy the instrument so I don't have any. I usually go to home square for the instrument to play with but now I can just go to New Town plaza!! This mall sells a lot of good stuff. It's connected to 4 - 5 different malls ( Lucky Plaza, Hilton Plaza and Sha tin plaza) those were the 3 malls I can think of right now but I know for a fact that new town plaza has different phrases. Me as a girl I like shopping expensive things such as coach, Dior, Apple Store and much more. I find new town plaza a great mall to socialise, hang out and shop. This mall has everything you wish for as a girl but I don't know about men becuase I'm a student, not dating anyone never thought about men stuff. Thanks for reading my review. It's a big mall and is known to be one of the busiest in all of Hong Kong. It was first opened in the 1980's but has been kept renovated and modernized and it currently still has a fresh and contemporary feel to it. As is typical with Hong Kong malls, there are a ton of shops, eateries, and tons of people to go with them. We ended up having a very nice dim sum lunch here at one of their main and popular restaurants, the Peking Garden restaurant. This first visit to Sha Tin personally gave me a feel for what a more residential area is like out in the "boonies" of Hong Kong, and it is a bit more laid back than in Hong Kong proper.

There are some things available at Log On that I've never found anywhere else in HK though, so if you're looking for something that no other place seems to sell, try Log On! One of my favorite things about Log On is that it's very organized - I never really have a hard time looking for anything because the store is very well laid out. The staff are quite helpful as well; there have been a few times when something I want is not available at the moment, and the staff will offer to help me call up other Log Ons to see if it's in stock there, and if so they would transfer it here. That's quite helpful because for example, if what I want is only in stock at the Log On all the way at Tuen Mun, I don't have to travel all the way there for it. Log On is also a great place to buy gifts for friends. In the past, I've bought things like photo frames and backpacks for people as birthday presents. Because they sell a lot of quirky novelty things at Log On, it's wonderful for last minute gift shopping! I will warn though that there are many things at Log On that you can buy much cheaper elsewhere. For example, avoid buying stationery like pens or folders there. You can get the same things for MUCH cheaper at regular stationery shops!

This location does not have a men's section, only women's clothing, shoes and accessories. Though the selection is vastly greater online, I always prefer to check out the clothing in-person to ensure fit and fabric quality. They may help get you a fitting room, otherwise, they leave you alone. If there are items on sale, they are usually displayed near the fitting rooms. The layout of the store is very tight and can be annoying to navigate even with only a handful of patrons, but it's clean and clothes are neatly folded.

Monki is right next to H&M - and also, in my opinion, the worst H&M there is because it's permanently crowded and they never seem to turn up the air conditioning. So whenever I'm at Langham, I always give the H&M a miss and head straight for Monki. The clothes at Monki range from girly to things you can sort of create a goth look out of, making it a place where everyone can find something that they like. It's one of the few places I know with sizes XXS, so it's great for people who are a little on the smaller size. I've bought everything from nice dresses to basics here and I find that the quality of clothes here is not bad at all. The accessories section at Monki is worth checking out - they have some really cool jewelry like statement necklaces that go great when paired with solid tops. Their stuff doesn't look cheap either. Last year, they were doing a sale on their tote bags, and I was out shopping with a friend from Singapore and she bought 2 back. They were only around $50 each, if I'm not wrong, the designs were cute and the cloth seemed pretty solid and durable. The changing rooms at Monki are really cool - they're filled with mirrors on each side, so looking straight into any one is nothing short of a real life optical illusion! I do wish Monki would have more sales though - usually, they just have one section of stuff on sale and some accessories too. I've never been to Monki and seen that they're having a huge sale. Hopefully, that will change the next time that I am there!
