But a Google search from my copilot scored this fabulous find! I was prepared for chicken. That's the name of the place so my stomach is thinking maybe a sandwich because, well, I'm driving. But this place is a wonderful little gem with a much larger menu. Ribs, chicken fried steak, chicken, chopped beef, wow, just such a selection! The fat kid in me was so happy (also the fat man which is more accurate). Copilot had the chicken fried steak with mashed taters, white gravy, and green beans. I ordered up the chopped beef sandwich on Texas toast with potato wedges. I'll add here that we also picked up one of the largest peanut butter cookies I've seen. Think BJ's Pizookie, huge cookie! The food was stupendous and we have saved the cookie because we were just too full. If you are ever in Checotah, this is a must stop. ¡Buen provecho!

Them lady started mopping with overwhelming product smell. WAY TOO MANY FLIES I SIDE. There was absolutely no warmth, personality, service to even mention. Positives... Both tenders each sit on a slice of bread with a stack of pickle slices in the corner of my to-go container. The tenders were really good & the combo left me full. Both tenders were well seasoned, very well seasoned, the way I like it. They were big pieces & I dipped 'em in the Dave's sauce here & there. Chicken spots usually have their own sauce that favor each other, Dave's sauce is different & compliments the chicken well. The fries got the job done. While we were in the Tulsa Hills area, it looked like people were standing outside like there was a line. Come to find out, there was a pickup + online orders window to where you don't have to go in (which is what we ended up doing). With that said, the order didn't take long at all (placed the order online). Even inside it didn't looked as packed, we possibly just missed their lunch rush (it was around 2pm).

Went in at roughly1130pm (not realizing they close at midnight, thought it was later for a friday). my friend ordered a meal before i did, i got a #3 and a top loaded fries. cashier was great and no issues. my friends buzzer buzzed maybe 5 mins later, so i was thinking mine was soon after. waited... waited.. 10 mins pass, i go up with my receipt and buzzer. asked the employee as i'm looking at a tray of food and a black container on the counter. she asked for my receipt, looks at it and hands it back and says "it'll buzz when your food is ready" i apologize and say thank you. waited another 10+ mins and now its been over 20 mins since my friend has gotten her food plus MULTIPLE PEOPLE that ordered after me got their food.so i go back up, same process with same employee, she then slides over the SAME TRAY AND CONTAINER that i saw from earlier but looking at me like they been waiting for me. so they just let the food sit there knowing that that food can only belong to me and yet never buzzed or even made effort to find me considering by then it was just me, my friend and a couple who ordered 15 mins after me in the shop.(which they also got their food before me along with few other to go orders) it's now at 1155pm and i feel the need to rush to finish so they can close at 12. no apology, no explanation. now my food is cold. cool. gave them $10~ tip, even CLEANED the table (not a piece of trash or sauce left on table) and considerate (INHALED MY FOOD) enough to leave at 1205 for what? that's why i'm extra upset at myself.

But if you liked grind chicken strips - it's really good and the fresh squeezed lemonade is also awesome! We enjoy their fried and Cole slaw too - as well as the Texas Toast. The last time I was there - a young man was working the cash register and taking orders. He was polite and friendly and did an excellent job. A teenage student and his friend entered the line and snickered and laughed and poked fun at the cashier - seemingly acting as if they were better than the cashier and as if the "working class" guy at the register was deserving of being made fun of. I was offended at the actions of the customer in front of me - but I was extremely impressed by the cashier who kept his composure and was polite in the face of the sarcastic customer who was inappropriate. I admired both the professionalism and the obvious management training and preparation that had been done to help teach the cashier how to respond and move on without allowing himself to be tripped up by such poor customer behaviors. Way to go to the excellent customer service and great food!

Once cooled off they were still so crispy and crunchy and the least bit greasy. They gave us plenty of sauce and ketchup too. Without saying, everything was a hit! All in all, it all came out to be about $60 - IMO a person gets way more bang for their buck buying in bulk vs buying individual combo meals.
