Instructor Karen was the woman who set us all up and Instructor Saylor is my sons instructor in class. I can see how much they care about the students. I've even heard Instructor Karen speak to a student in such a caring and concerned way, trying to encourage him that he has to take responsibility for his choices to improve-and mostly to believe in himself that he can do it. It was so good to hear her stay so focused on trying to get that message to the student. Instructor Saylor has been amazing and she gently guides some of her young more distracted students back into the lesson (like my son lol). They just seem so caring and true to the students. The my don't allow disrespect and it resonates with the students there to act accordingly. So far I am absolutely happy with my choice to take my son here. Just fantastic.

Lucky for us we discovered it several months ago and are very happy here! :) Also, I as a mom attend the weekly Ladie's Club Taekwondo class. I tried it before signing my son up for his classes. My daughter has experienced nothing but a warm, positive environment, with patient, and exuberant instructors who always seem to know the exact moment to redirect and refocus her. I want to mention that I had taken my daughter there last week for her BTC class, and we were late (got our schedules crossed). Well, one of the instructors, Brian, politely came over and asked if he could take my daughter aside to help her with some kicks and do some drills. My daughter was so happy to have that quality time, and it made her (as well as my) day. I had told Chris Gates this story, and he humbly told me that he teaches his instructors that anytime is a good time for a lesson. He added that, if there is a free instructor, that they should seek to teach. His influence is obvious, and his instructors follow that mantra religiously. A top-notch place, and one that I will always sing praises about. PS: If your child has ADHD (like mine), then he/she will most certainly benefit from enrolling in one of Chris Gates' classes. It's made a positive difference in my daughter's life, and something i believe will make her a stronger, more confident adult.

I knew I had no reason to worry whatsoever. Registering was incredibly easy, and once the class started, we were sweating bullets almost immediately. There was an INTENSE 20-30 minutes of cardio workouts, including Burpees, Mountain Climbers, Jogging, Supermans, etc. The instructors were very clear that if we needed to take a break, we were more than welcome to. As this was my first time and I'm nowhere near in shape, I had to take several breaks. Never once did I feel that I was being judged for sitting something out. They were incredibly kind, and made us feel great. Once the kickboxing started, we were in love. We knew we were getting the workout that our bodies needed, and we could feel the full support of the instructors. It was an incredible experience, and I am very much looking forward to going back! Tip: Bring your own gloves. Although you can borrow from them, you will sweat A LOT. Second tip: Burpees suck.

Individual attention to each student by name and rigorous structure to give the children some of the very best building blocks for a strong foundation in life. Non-stop activity keeps the students engaged and glued attentively to the next requests for form and exercise. The classroom is very well lit and two or more groups act in unison with individuals floating in or out of one group to another when requested to do so. Strict adherence to form makes the classroom even more serious, as the students strive to maintain the approval of the master. Overall, We are encouraging our daughter to continue to grow in the process and learn the behaviors necessary to excel in this art form.

As he was 7 (at the time, now 8,) we were apprehensive to sign up for a long term (10-12 months) contract ... whist there was a slight increase in the option of going month-by-month, master Seong was gracious and understanding and gave us the time that we needed, in order to make the right (long term) decision for our son. Master Seong is an exceptional teacher and mentor who is fantastic with the children. He not only teaches them the techniques of Tae Kwon Do but also instills important values such as self-respect, boundaries, and confidence. hat sets Master Seong apart from other Tae Kwon Do instructors is his thoughtfulness when it comes to parents and families. He understands that parents often have busy schedules and offers services such as "Parent's Night Out" and special camps for afternoons when school is not in session. What's even more impressive is that he opens these camps up to other kids not registered in his program, showing that he truly cares about the well-being of all children in the community. Champion's locations are, well, just about everywhere... however, it's the person which makes this spot so much better. We could have chosen to enroll our son at a Champions franchise closer to where we live, but the extra few minutes of travel is well worth it to have him work with a teacher and mentor like Master Seong. He is patient, kind, and supportive, and he makes learning Tae Kwon Do fun for the kids. Overall, I would highly recommend Master Seong's Tae Kwon Do School, "Champions" in Bellmore, to anyone looking for an exceptional teacher and mentor for their children.
