But Master Frank was so patient with her and spoke to her every single time. He noticed that she was very stubborn and that it would take her time to get use to the class. Since he was so patient and understanding and helped guide her through most of the classes, she eventually ended up loving the class and finally started doing the classes on her own! We were so proud of her. The only thing I would wish was for another class to be around 5 or 6 because she won't be able to attend Saturday classes anymore and Mondays are the only classes that start at 6:10pm. There is a class another day that starts at 7 but that's around bedtime for her. Other than that, this is such a great place for children to learn Taekwondo!

We are very impressed with Master Frank and the wonderful instructors. I am amazed at the improvement my daughter has shown in only a few short months. She will be testing for her yellow belt next week and she couldn't be more excited. I didn't know anything about Taekwondo before this past summer, but I'm so glad we joined the Ultimate Champions TKD family!! Taekwondo teaches amazing skills both physically and mentally. It's wonderful for children in so many aspects. We also love all the fun programs that they do outside of class... like specials for holidays and kids night out events! :-)

I am very surprised there aren't more reviews of YH Park Taekwondo on Yelp!…read more I studied with Grandmaster Park back in 1982 - the classes were always composed of hard work, discipline, concentration and putting forward your best efforts to continually do better. This helped me in my teen years with self-esteem issues and helped develop my leadership skills in the years to come. Fast forward years later, and nothing has changed. Eddie and Elliott Park continue to carry on the tradition of classic TaeKwonDo training, shaping and developing our future leaders. The masters, instructors and higher belts are very supportive of all level students, regardless of age. The comradery and respect everyone shows each other is genuine, there is without a shadow of a doubt a strong feeling of team spirit and family. My son has earned his black belt and considering returning soon, my daughter enrolled a year ago and absolutely loves it. And I am slowly but surely making my return to the best of my ability at my age to better overall health. I thank YH Park TaeKwonDo tremendously for helping me develop the confidence and wisdom I have today.

In just a short time, he's learned focus, respect, and even how to count to 10 in Korean! It's amazing to see his confidence grow each week. I can't recommend this school enough for any parent looking to build discipline and confidence in their child.

He pretends to be nice when the parents are there and once the parents leave he is a bully to the children. He calls them names and makes fun of them, he talks down to his wife in front of the children which sets a horrible example. My kid will no longer be going here and I encourage other parents who take there children here to turn around and run.

Around the time where my son was going to the summer camp my son would tell me how Mr. Choi was disrespectful to his wife and talk down to her in front of the children. Also as part of his "disciplinary technique" he would make fun of children And put them down in front of the whole class to try to teach that particular kid a lesson. I have been doing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at Renzo Gracie Academy for many years, so I know what discipline is, and I wanted a similar experience for my child. But making fun and laughing at a child makes them insecure and is not the way to build confidence! Even after all of this happening my son was still going here. Today was the last straw! My son sees a tutor and he forgot (he is a child so they tend to forget) that he had a class with the tutor at 6pm. He went to the earlier class, so I went to get him and bring him home to see the tutor. I motioned from across the room for my son to get ready because he forgot the tutor and my son went to bow and tell Mr. Choi what was happening. At this point Mr. Choi is ignoring him and my son goes to get ready and leave but Mrs. Choi comes Over and tells my son to make sure Mr. Choi heard him. So this time my son is a bit louder and tells him "I'm sorry Mr.Choi I forgot I had a tutor class today and I have to go". Mr. Choi turns around and screams at the top of his lungs " DO NOT INTERRUPT MY CLASS! " when my son is only a few feet away. At this point as a parent I am fuming and wanted to say a lot to him but there were children around so I just told my son "don't worry, just get your stuff". Funny part is it wasn't even over, then Mrs. Choi comes over and says "You know we have rules here" so I turned around and said "what type of rules? Screaming at a kid for having responsibilities?" And then Mr. Choi came over and started screaming at my kid "you're not a good kid and your family is no good..." and then I stopped him right there. I proceeded to level my self to this man and said "What's your problem we are just leaving, do you want to take it on the mats?". You would think as a black belt he would take the offer, but he whimpered away and proceeded to kick us out like dogs in front of everybody and told my son that he is no longer accepted into this academy. Keep in mind this is all happening while the children and parents were watching. I proceeded to walk out and Mrs. Choi follows me out of the store pestering me, and I had to tell her "back off and I am leaving, why the need to follow me ?" I couldn't believe this happened. My son will no longer be going here and I am deeply in pain for the kids that had no choice but to see this go down when he should have self control and discipline.
