Don't miss this utterly charming and unprentious wine tasting shop complete with blue checkered table cloths covering the outdoor tables. Their charcuterie (two cheeses and one meat) $19 is available alongside almonds $5 and candied pecans $5. We enhanced our board with a delicious can of lemon pepper smoked oysters by Ekone ("from tide to tin") $13. Highly recommend this he has Rustic Bakery flatbread. They have wine by the glass -- we tasted the Clos Du Mont-Olivet 2022 Lirac $15/glass as well as the Henrich Naked Orange (calcareous and natural biodynamic) $15/glass and the Champagne Jacquart "Mosaïque" Rosé $20/glass. We decided on a bottle of the Lirac and a glass of rosé champagne. They also carry local jcoco chocolates chips as well as tinned mackerel, tuna, codfish. The buyer is exceptionally talented. The curated collection of bottles could go up against the better bottle shops in Seattle -- but with a nonchalant aplomb rich with elegant ease shifting gears between bottles of internationally renowned Bollinger $68 and hyper local The Orcas Project 2024 Garnacha $37 or 2025 Nebbiolo $35 or 3 of 6 allocated Chartogne-Talley Saint Anne extra brut for $98. Favorite part? The staff's educational notes about the wines, how they were made, and tasting notes that holds the greatest value of all. So make some time to peruse and enjoy the learning before or while tasting. Exceptional value and deserving of best of neighbor recognition. Mariah serves as a welcoming hostess.

They rotate it often and I'm always excited to try what's new since they brew their beers in house. Their drinks are very reasonably priced, the space is so open and inviting (especially when it's warm and the patio is open!), and the staff is so kind. I also hosted a private event here, and the owners were very accommodating and helpful. This is a very special neighborhood brewery that you don't want to miss out on. Also note that the place is kid friendly and the stroller and kid contingent tends to dominate the place earlier. If you want to avoid that, that grouo tends to clear out towards 7, consequently freeing up tables. About the beer: when I go to a brewery, especially in the PNW, I tend to eyeball their IPA selection. In the two times I've been to Lantern, what I've noticed is that they haven't had an IPA selection. That isn't terrible in itself, and it kind of forces me to expand my choices. I've had pales and sours (which they had a couple of the times I've gone), and had their gose the last time, which all of us enjoyed. For food, there's usually a truck. Last time was a nice Mexican truck, which was really quite tasty. Parking sucks. Arriving around 6:30 increases your chances because the folks with kids and their SUVs tend to be heading out at that time.

I have been a long time eight Bells Customer!…read more Since 2019 in fact!!! Let's chat wine first and read my long backstory afterwards! We love that they serve a Viognier, it's crisp and on the acidic side making it the perfect pairing with fish like halibut or cod! Old Salt is dangerously good! It is so smooth and the perfect one to pick up for anyone new to red wines. David's block is for those that cannot choose a rich red wine. It pairs perfectly for after dinner with dessert. I love it with a tiramisu because of the espresso and chocolate flavors. I love the Syrah, it's an 8 Clone Syrah. It's a very French style Syrah, making it medium bodied. It again is the perfect wine for someone coming into reds. 2019 Southern Voyage - a new one for me! It was in our case as members. It's a blend of 58% Grenache, 23% Mourvedre and 19% Syrah which is becoming a bottle WA blend. It's also becoming a new found favorite of mine! The reason I love Eightbells is that there is something g for everyone. Friends who like whites, friends new to red, or those who know what is up with wine; there's surprisingly new twists on traditional wines here. Making it the perfect place to go and all while being continently located in the city unlike other tasting rooms. ------------------------------------------------ I met Taylor and Kip when we were all on our way back from Greece. Santorini is where we fell in love with Viognier, and it was the first time I think my husband found a wine he truly enjoyed eating with food. We had just gotten engaged on our trip and after having visiting them in the city, finding out they made a delicious vingior, we got back made them our official wine for our wedding! Kip did such a beautiful job on all 3 of the designs! We even chose a magnum of Syrah and had it as our guest book! The people truly make this place what it is and I love that Taylor, as of 202, is the CEO! Making it a second generation urban winery! When we went in the past summer, 2022, I had the pleasure of meeting Pete as well! He was truly a kind soul who knew his wine, but of course, he's a talented sommelier. I have to many bottles personally to count, but I love the fact that they have a glass top. Perfect for events to open a bottle to share and create memories with loved ones! Sincerely check them out if you're in the city! No need to trek all the way to Woodinville this place is perfect!

Glad we got to visit Bainbridge while out in Seattle :) We settled in for a wine tasting-- only around $20/person for 4 wines. I also opted for cheese/crackers ($10~). The setup was very DIY-- a quad of carafes to self-serve along with a box of crackers and a pack of goat cheese LOL. Plates, napkins, water, and silverware were available near the front patio. Staff were sweet and accommodating. Our table was flanked by heaters, keeping the cold at bay. Felt so cozy sipping with friends under their pavilion, taking in the brisk autumn air. Their whites were so delicious & sweet! I'm not a dry/buttery wine type of gal-- I like it as juice-adjacent as possible. These were up my alley for sure. LOVE that the grapes are all grown locally. While far from downtown, the vineyard is easy to access with their local bus system, Pingo.
