They were both cool so I went to see what they were offering, I got 8 filet Mignon steaks and 4 Ribeye steaks along with a dozed lemon iced cakes like the ones in Starbucks for $4 a piece for $70 cash. No pressure sale, Adam and his partner were cool so I decided to make the purchase once I realized how the product was presented in good individually frozen condition and I tried the lemon cake which was fresh and delicious. I decided to defrost two filets overnight in my fridge and this morning grilled them to medium rare, they tasted good, not chewy or rubbery and not exactly a high end butcher cut filet Mignon but at this price can't be beat. 12 steaks and 12 desserts for $70 is a good deal and a no brainer. The deserts alone would be $48 at Starbucks and were free, and steaks at less than $6 per steak delivered to my front door in NYC is a good deal indeed. I highly recommend freezing them right away and fridge defrosting them before cooking them to insure best overall quality.

I have been thinking about buying meat in bulk recently so I took a look. They proceeded to show me box after box of different cuts of frozen steak and chicken and telling me stories of how each cut and marinade is the best. I am not a meat aficionado, but I know enough to know that all frozen meat looks pretty much the same. There was no way to tell if this was grade a meat or dog food, and when they repeatedly told me about their guarantee, all I could think about was the guarantee Chris Farley gives in Tommy Boy. When I balked at their initial price, the other guy in the van then gets his "boss" on the phone and tells me that he wants to negotiate a deal. Things felt a little sketchy at that point and I told him I needed to grab my phone from inside the house. The first thing I did was go to yelp and thankfully all of the terrible reviews made my decision a no-brainer. I went back out to the van and told them I was not interested. They reacted the same way as others have described but didn't have an answer when told them I wasn't buying because of their terrible reviews on yelp. Thank you Yelpers!

We were looking for thai bird's eye chili's, and haven't found a local Asian grocery since they tore down Golden Bridge (I miss that store so much) to put in yet another Wawa. So we decided to venture into new territory and visit an Indian grocer. The parking lot is a Rollercoaster. A maniac must have designed and graded it. The store is tightly packed. Product, crates, and bags of rice make narrow passageways impossible for wheelchairs. We found the chilis. Thank goodness Jeremy was with me, because I never could have gotten to the shelves myself and no one seemed interested in making sure I found what I needed. I would have liked to have explored the shelves more, but I felt uncomfortable in the store and couldn't wait to leave. The guy at the register did not speak to us. Didn't tell us the total for our purchases or thank us for shopping there. There was a cart blocking the exit, from the outside, so it was more difficult than necessary to leave. Guess we'll continue our mission to find a suitable Asian grocery, because I have no intention of returning.
