We went to beach for 4 days. Got home and didn't feel like cooking. I've been hesitant to try this pizza due to mixed reviews. Had a coupon in mail box for 2 topping for $15.00 though why not. Was pleasantly surprised, the crust was. Really good! Lots of toppings, l added fresh garden tomatoes and it was yummy. Definitely go here again!

    Detroit style meat lovers pizza

We love Champ pizza! Quality delicious ingredients and their regular crust is our favorite pizza crust of any local pizza companies. We tried their Detroit style meat lovers pizza and cheesy breadsricks this time. And they did not disappoint. Same quality meats on a thick Detroit style crust.

We ordered online L stuffed crust light sauce half Combo with extra sausage and half veggie with extra mozzarella and they loaded us up!! It was so yummy and our family really enjoyed it! Much Aloha to you guys at Champ Pizza

We wanted to try a new local place and we found Champ Pizza after reading all the great reviews and it did not disappoint we ordered an extra large triple pepperoni pizza through Uber eats and it arrived very quickly. The pizza was loaded with large, small and tiny bits of pepperoni with red sauce and we loved the buttermilk Parmesan crust.

The 1 lb order normally fills this tin and there are typically no dips in the tin. And why on earth add marinara when it wasn't ordered?

It's hard to give a poor rating, but when missing items in the orders becomes a standard experience, it's unfortunately warranted. I've been ordering delivery from the Milwaukie location for quite a while on a weekly basis because the pizzas, wings and breads are delicious. All has been great until recently. Over the last 4 weeks there have been some notable changes which are driving me to find a new alternative. The last 4 times I've ordered delivery from this location, I've had missing items from my orders which have resulted in the driver needing to go back, pick up the items, and make another delivery. A recent order which included 1 lb of the boneless wings resulted in a 1/2 lb order being delivered with 2 sides of marinara dipping sauce. I never ordered marinara and would never dip a wing in marinara! Not sure why the person putting that together didn't even question what they were doing. During my last order the missing items never made it to my door even after calling to make them aware items were missing from order AGAIN. I was asked what I wanted them to do about it and said I'd like the missing items delivered since I had already paid for them. Nada. Items never delivered. Even the bread sticks have been reduced in size recently which seems like a poor money grab since this is probably one of the cheapest items to make. Ordering delivery food has become quite expensive given the cost of the food times, delivery fees, and driver tips. If you're reading this, Champ, focus on a final review of the order being complete before the delivery drivers head out the door. Should be an easy fix, but after sending direct feedback to this location, the issue continues. The delivery drivers have always been very friendly and nice, so kudos to having a good delivery team. Edit 12/15/2023 Knowing I had great experiences with Champizza prior to my sequence of bad experiences, I tried another delivery order and the crew pulled through! I'm adjusting my rating back up and hope my bad experiences were a thing of the past. I'm not looking for free food or credit - ensuring orders go out the door right the first time is what anyone placing a delivery order expects and if that happens with my future orders, I'm good.

Pepperoni, olives, and onion with white sauce. Absolutely delicious!

Ordered for delivery at my hotel and came fast and hot! Not to mention very delicious !! The delivery driver was very kind and had no troubles finding my room- and I was in the top floor! Amazing. :)

Sausage and onion pie. A little more crust than pizza.

I'm really excited that Champ Pizza has a closer location to my house. I've order from their McLoughlin location before. Ordered a large sausage and onion pizza with Buffalo wings. Solid wings, but the pizza which was suppose to be the star didn't shine that night. More crust than pizza and the dough was mealy/underbaked. They're still new so I'll definitely come back for another shot and hopefully they've worked out the kinks.

Had pizza from here twice during a long stay in Portland, and enjoyed it both times. The first time, we had a pepperoni pizza, a side of meatballs, and grape sorbetto. We liked the meatballs so much that, the second time, we had the Alley Kat pizza and, again, the grape sorbetto. The pizzas were both excellent--good crust with a great chew, good proportions for the toppings, and a cheese that tasted like cheese. (reductive? Maybe, but so much mozzarella is bland and rubbery that it seems worth mentioning.) The grape sorbetto was an excellent way to finish the meal both times: sweet, but not too sweet, and very bright to cleanse the palate.

Unfortunately, this was both our first and last visit. I don't think I've ever disliked a pizza before, but this may be the first one I would genuinely call bad. I enjoy wood-fired pizza and don't mind a little char, but somehow this pizza tasted noticeably bitter despite having very little visible charring. Whether it was the lack of sauce, the sauce itself being quite bland, or simply an imbalance of flavors, the end result just wasn't pleasant. The biggest issue is the value. A $25 cheese pizza doesn't need to be life-changing, but it should at least taste better than Costco's. In this case, unfortunately, it didn't. If your goal is to enjoy great pizza, I'd recommend one of the many other pizza spots in the area instead.

It was now happy hour, so I ordered a gluten-free spicy salami pizza. It was one of the best thin crust pizzas I have ever had! I thought about saving some of it for later, but I inhaled the whole thing. The sauce was perfectly proportioned. The spicy salami and cheese blend was incredible. I highly recommend this pizza! It's true NY style, thin enough to fold if you're walking, the perfect amount of oily, with only the freshest of mozzarella. Slices are available at the counter (and a few stools if you're just having a quick lunch) all day. For a whole pie, call ahead to schedule (503-22-SLICE has been their number since I moved here decades ago) and they'll give you a time generally 20-35 minutes in the future depending on how busy they are. Staff are just like NYC: no suck-up, extra sarcasm, and if you stand at the register for 5+ minutes fumbling with your wallet, they might make a snide comment. But it's endearing grouchy, not really mean, and it adds to the "flavor" of the whole place. Parking in NW 23 is usually very hard. For example, when the Arugula Salad is made well, it is fantastic. However we have had repeated experiences where the greens are not fresh, or the dressing is forgotten, or there is no cheese. We have had repeated issues specifically with takeout orders, over many years. Additionally, if you dine-in, there is an entire bottle of oil on the table that you are encouraged to use on your pizza. It is delicious, and really completes the pizza flavor profile! They used to automatically include two small containers of oil per pizza if you ordered to-go. Current policy appears to be to not include any oil with the pizza (unless explicitly asked) and to only provide a maximum of two oils (even if multiple pizzas are ordered). I don't know if there is an oil shortage or what, but this is silly for a place that charges so much for their pizza. Life of Pie is a typical Portland restaurant that expects you to tip before you receive your food (and also expects you to bus your own table). To me, this expectation alongside with the inconsistency of the food for the price, is disappointing, and does not encourage people to go out of their way to return. When the food is good it is a solid place, however I would expect much more consistency for the price they command.
