In 2025, the middle school instituted an HONORS math placement testing option. The middle school does have honors algebra and geometry until the 8th grade. Mrs Mary Guerra is the head admissions person and she's absolutely amazing and wonderful. Mrs Lotta is also extremely helpful and resourceful. The head of the math department is Mrs Cheek. She's very strict, tough, & extremely helpful to students. Mrs. Sipping who teaches history and religion is both relatable & kind. It can be said that Chaminade isn't without bad teachers, as most schools will have plenty of those. Sports at Chaminade is a big thing because this is how the school and the students attract college & university scholarships. SJE school is one of the biggest feeder school to Chaminade. Just this year we sent 12 fifth graders & 4 eighth graders to Chaminade. So of course the students will know each other and hang out with each other. Chaminade middle school has an 8 House System, like Harry Potter, & this is where kids have a chance to make friends at all levels of the school. I can see and understand that if you start at the Chaminade high school level that it can be tough to adjust. However, if your kids start at the middle school, they will have adjusted and created a pattern of learning and achieving which will propel them in high school. She replied by sarcastically saying "yesssss". I called to get information on out of state enrollment into the school. Tone was short, sarcastic, and overall very un-warm. I was taken entirely back by this lady (which, I promise as I am writing this I wish I would have got her name - but she did say she was the one who was in charge of calling folks back who were lottery into the school. First impressions are everything and I promise, this lady through me off completely. I came back and told my 7 th grader, and she was like "Yesssss! The school is very artistic, really influences students to develop their artistic interests meanwhile getting the required education they need to graduate high school.
