If I could I would give this school a negative review. Today my mom had a meeting with my younger…read morebrother's teacher. I live an hour away and couldn't make it. My brothers had to work so weren't able to attend. But my sister in law and my mom were able to attend. The teacher (Miss Beserra) complained to my mom and my sister in law about my brothers and I not attending the meeting, saying to my mom, and I quote "Where are your other sons? I don't get paid to come this early to the school". To you, Miss Beserra. I am very sorry that my family and I are making your job harder and I'm sorry that I could not show up to the meeting. I love my brother very much and I just want him to do well. I have never had a teacher where I felt I was a bother, I would love it if you didn't make my family feel like that. Last year my mom was told to sign a paper she didn't know what it was for. The paper denied the help my brother needed. So now she is trying to get that help from the school that my brother very well needs. All she has gotten from the school staff is the nasty attitude. My mom has gone through a lot as it is and to add more stress to the her life the school is making it so hard to give my brother the help he needs.

I was a parent at this school and after a year pulled out my daughter. First I'd like to know why…read moredo they have this Principal Mrs. Shatz serving for so many years. She is bullying the kids and the teachers. she has teachers who spy on everyone and tell her what other people say or do. This Principal rewards only the teachers who are her spies and ignore or bully the others. (See the one who has got an award for 2018 and understand what I mean) The program is low level and never changes. On the website they pretend to have a various digital program but actually here are no exceptional or interesting extracurricular activities. The Principal will not listen to remarks of parents and when I talked with her she always had this temper and pulled out lots of lies to stop me from trying to advocate for my kid. The worst is with special needs. There are kids who are beaten (by other kids) and ignored and yelled at by teachers, the Principal knows about it and will not tell. There are many secrets in this school. It is managed as if it was the private home of the Principal in which she can do whatever she likes. Teachers and psychologists come and go, usually go. They leave to not look back. It's a very hostile environment. Nobody does anything to improve the place. it's like a swamp there, of a Principal who controls everyone including the board of directors.

You learn at your own pace, which is the biggest bonus of Learn4Life. During the summer session, the material was going a bit fast for me, so my teacher helped me through it. Soon enough, I was scoring As on every test. They're open all day with tutors and teachers to help you. The staff cares about you and how you're doing. You gain so much by coming to Learn4Life. A quick thanks to Amber, Paulina, Ms. Cross, and Mrs. Powers for your care and support! I really enjoyed my time at this school and have gotten so much out of it.

Since I have been there, there has been a lot of changes and improvements for the better. I struggled a lot with mathematics like a lot of other students but Miss Cho or one of the wonderful tutors was always available and willing to help me. In fact everyone on staff was always ready to help anyone that needed it. The receptionist Amber has always been especially sweet, often bringing food for everyone, encouraging students that they can finish, and generally making sure everyone is taken care of. Leaving my normal high school to come here was a choice I will never regret. Independent studies isn't for everyone but for me it was defiantly the best way for me to finish high school and earn my diploma.
