As a consumer, I do not appreciate being told that my reviews are slanderous or for the owner to continue going back and forth with me over an issue I had, while still not addressing the issues I had as a consumer. Below is the correspondence that I received from the owner. Note to all: read your contract. I'm not disputing this company's billing policy, but know that you will be charged for services prior to actually having the service and if the services are cancelled (whether by the company or you) you will not receive a refund but a credit. Just be forewarned. ******* Honestly Tracy, If you update it or not that is up to you. All the info about those policies is public on our website and clients sign our agreement before they begin service so if they do not like that aspect they know from the beginning. I do not need further response I just wanted to make sure your comment on us not refunding your money was not something out of our policies as your review makes it sound as if we just took your money for nothing. As I have reviewed your account it does not appear we took any money beyond the services you requested. Your account has been closed and we wish you the best. In addition to that, he did provide sound guidance on how to work with these, as well as a frank opinion. The techniques that he used with our dogs were effective, but the logic that he used to explain behaviors made me raise my eyebrows a few times. Mike subscribes to pack theory. Pack theory is outdated and was debunked by the same group of scientists that performed the study. (If you don't believe me, go to google scholar and look up some recent studies from academic papers.) Those notes aside, I do find Mike's professionalism to be highly questionable. Multiple times, Mike had directed condescending comments towards me flat out saying that women (unlike men) were more prone to making emotional (and i guess the implication was that they consequently make irrational and irresponsible) decisions. From how he talked, I was under the impression that he was coming into the consultation with this attitude, because I am female, even before meeting me. This is due in part because his phrasing indicated that he felt that my husband was the "rational" decision maker. I felt very disrespected in my own home. This behavior is very concerning, especially since he said that his daughter had made him aware that these types of comments could be perceived as sexist. I would assess other trainers first. I suspect you can get the same results, for the same/better price, but without the disrespect or outdated logic.

My relationship with Wolftrap began at college when my sorority would volunteer for their puppy shipment days. It was like a conveyor belt of puppy services one of us would hold a puppy while they got wiped down, flea and tick protection was applied to their coat, and then the vet Dr. Amber Burton would give them their necessary vaccines before they went to their foster homes. Basically this rescue does the Lords work, no exaggeration! They are a nonprofit based out of Vienna Virginia and they bring truck is full of puppies and kittens that they save from kill shelters in Louisiana. In college, I fostered a kitten and now as an adult with my own home I took on fostering two puppy littermates last week!! Christmas and donkey have been such a blessing they are precious angel souls. This rescue makes the process easy. First you go online and you apply to be a Foster, then you are scheduled to have a phone call with a foster team member to ensure you understand the process and responsibility. Based on that you can sign up for available pup shipments! Shipments are usually available on a biweekly basis. The foster period lasts three weeks in which during the time you will take care of them and provide them basic training plenty of love and hopefully find their perfect FUR-ever home and match them up with the best family to suit thier individual personalities. You also go online to fill out adoption forms! I picked up the puppies the day they came in transported them to my home gave them a quick bath since they had just come from the Place That Shall Not Be Named, fed them, provided them with puppy pads and multiple toys that the rescue provided me. They have since been dropped off this morning to get neutered free of cost to the foster or to the family. I chose to take in 2 siblings but you can also chose to just take in 1 pup or kitten. As A foster- my responsibility is to escort these puppies to the meet and greets with potential new owners - the rescue handles the coordination between people who applied online and email me directly phone number so that I can contact them. PLEASE sign up if you are able and love animals and want to make a difference. Often they are in NEED of fosters to be able to continue their good deeds!! Adoption fees are very manageable $525 for a pup?! In summary- fostering has been a pleasure of my life. Thank you WolfTrap for all you do!!!!

They don't have their adoption even schedules posted but require you to say yes or no that you can make an adoption event. If you say yes but can't make the one they randomly pick for you without any communication, they charge you.

The vet here try to make me feel guilty as I didn't wanted that blood test as it wasn't recommended before. Suddenly I stop by for a refill and a follow up and is an extra $60 for a blood test. I had a family emergency so I decided to try again today. They draw his blood and they wanted to charge me $100 plus. When I asked the front person responded that it was a different vet that draw the blood and recommended the full panel. Really? How come as I never saw a vet today??? Unless is an emergency I'll not come back here ever again. I started coming here as the Hart foundation comes here with their rescue vet and the first vet that I saw was rally nice. However not a great experience after.
