They have a fine selection of the best quality oil, acrylic and watercolour paint. They also sell paper, canvas, brushes and easels. They also have a great range of gifts such as globes, pencils, photo frames, perfect for the artist or writer in your family. The only downside is it is a bit pricey.

For so urban an area, the range and quality are both excellent. The garden centre itself is more your typical national trust shop, and definitely mid- to high-end, but they have a wide range of gardening tools, clothing and nick-knacks for decorating your garden, plus the usual range of NT books, gifts and lots of tempting impulse purchases. It is spaciously laid out but easy to navigate. There's a very nice cafe adjacent, so it makes for a great afternoon out.

The access is the main problem and the car park can be a bit of a traffic jam when people are drawn out by the good weather. From the car park, you can access the main garden centre, Maidenhead Aquatics, a little cafe/gift shop and Morden Hall Park. I've reviewed the aquatic centre separately and will concentrate on the main garden centre. There is a large outdoor section with plants of all sizes for sale as well as tubs and ornaments. At this of year, I love hunting the aisles for newly sprouted herb and vegetable plants to put into my garden. I was able to purchase 4 varieties of tomatoes and some carrots this Sunday. Indoors, there is a good variety of seeds and gardening paraphernalia as well as a small section for pets and gifts. The staff are always helpful with suggestions and tips. The cafe is worth a visit for a tea time cake and cup of tea after a walk in the park. A pleasant day out in sun.

So who knows how long this will last but it certainly has been around for quite a while, a good sign probably. In addition, this store is located in a posh bit of town where people aren't as strapped for cash. Also, this shop isn't an independent it's got a company behind it which mostly sells on the web. Dreadful shopping centre full of the usual high street stores…read more Something has happened to the attitude of the centre staff here and they are no longer the friendly bunch of old. As we left we saw the security harassing 2 NHS workers that were simply sitting on the bench outside. They were told they could not sit there as it was Shopping Centre property....???! Very nasty will not be visiting here again, not even to visit the cinema even though it is our nearest 'mall'.

Oh how controversial! However this shop is an absolute treasure trove that encapasses all the that that we love about diversity. Run by the lovely Anita it delivers a combination of unusual gift and trinkets with fun item for your own home. With a wonder array of wrapping and cards, the earthy and ethnic feel makes for comfortable and enticing viewing. There is even a line of natural personal care products that by simply perusing the Indian Hemp and Haitian Vetiver Body Wash makes you feels like you have just done something to helpful for civilisation and mankind! I have popped in a few times and have always come away smiling and with a nostalgic exciting that I used to get when I had just completed my, "new stationary shop" at the end of the summer holidays, pending the return to school.
