The Kensington area is very diverse and therefore I was not surprised to find an establishment such as this situated in the heart of Prescott Road. This place represents somewhere that African people residing in Liverpool can go and visit and taste some of their homelands authentic foods. The staff here are friendly and on the whole this place seemed to be a real feel good establishment which represents all that is good about the city of Liverpool.

Broth was very tasty. A bit of heat to it as well but the meat was a mixture of stomach and goat. Hmm stomach? Next up we had Jollof rice with grill chicken. A tender pair of chicken drumsticks came with a spicy tomato ish sauce served with a dark coloured rice favoured with spices. And our final dish was fried plantain served with beef in a chilli sauce / curry ish sauce. Interesting dish. Plantain sweet and curry savoury and had a kick too. Happy to revisit when I'm feeling for jungle food again. Thats the tag line for this place by the way.

The food was a bit mixed with some dishes working better than others. I enjoyed my safari beef with rice but was expecting something with a bit more wow based on other reviews I'd read. The fried chicken started was very tasty the size of the chicken was too small: just very small nuggets. The service was good and the place was quiet and clean. I would go again and try the other dishes if I was in the area.
