I was so happy to see that there was a chai place downtown (that too with vegan options) and was excited to try it out, but was a little disappointed. Pros: menu has a great variety of different teas with unique offerings and specialities. They also have hot snacks like samosas. Service was quick and the woman at the counter was kind. Cons: the kadak chai (strong tea) was anything but. I got it with oat milk and I literally could not taste the "tea" at all. I feel like I had ordered a cup of warm milk. I came home and added a teaspoon of black tea and reheated it to satisfy my craving. I did hear from the woman in front of me that she got a rose flavored drink and didn't love it, so I would skip on that too, although I can't speak to the other drinks/flavors (they had a lot of others). Not sure if I got a bad batch, but I really hope they consider making their tea more "tea like". Located in Fulton street station.

Amazing selection of Chai varieties. Iced saffron chai topped with whipped cream is the best!

Overpriced for a very small serving and flavorless. Quite disappointing--worse than average.

Their chai is delicious & I still can't believe they have so many kinds, including Irani chai, which I've only had in Hyderabad.

If texture doesn't bother you (liberal amount of black sesame!), I'd suggest getting this latte (10/10). Both pastries were great in their own right. For my second matcha of the day, this matcha was like your everyday/average matcha. Can't go wrong, but it wasn't mind-blowing. If you're in the Theatre District, I'd definitely recommend popping in for a drink & a treat!

I had seen their cute pastries online and wanted to check them out. We got the items above and a few coffees. The cakes are cute. Tho not as light and fluffy as I was expecting. I thought they'd be more like the asian bakeries we have back in SF. Not as sweet as american desserts, but it was kinda in between. The egg sandwich I really wanted to like since I've been craving one. But the it was sooo dry. Definitely needed more mayo. And the bread wasn't very fluffy either. Cute spot if you want cute desserts. Tho I think they are more geared towards posting on socials. REVIEW #3999

It's pricey, but welcome to FiDi. My one complaint is they try to upsell you. Like, I'm sure your pastry that's unique to Puerto Rico and that I've never had before is delicious, but I need to get going and I don't want to dip into my 401k for it.

It happened to be 787 Coffee which I have visited plenty of times on the island and enjoy. With excitement and in Spanish I tell the cashier that I was happy to come across this place as I have tried them out in PR. How is it that this "jibara" apparently from Maricao, spoke to me in broken English while I am talking to her in our native language, total fail. Anyhow, I ordered the coquito hot latte with an extra shot of rum and oat milk, fine, I paid $11 for a very small coffee. Now what I can't believe is that the quesito pastry was $8. I really wanted it but it was not until I paid that I then noticed the price. I sat to eat it while I waited for my name to be called as mentioned by the cashier. I walked around looking at everything, the music very loud and hard for people sitting to have conversations, the place is very colorful and with many PR sayings, however the place also feels very Americanized with the music and layout. I still awaited my name to be called minutes later, but nothing. I approached the cashier, who was just standing there, to ask about my coffee and she wasn't able to tell me so she asked the barista steps away from her. He pointed to a cofre sitting on their counter, it had my name, and when I pointed out that I was waiting for my name to be called, she shrugged her shoulders and smiled like she didn't care. The coffee by now was not all that hot, I never tasted any rum or coquito flavor and felt I wasted my time at this place. What's more upsetting is that I left a nice tip for a service that was not provided. They couldn't even bring the coffee ti my table once they realized it was sitting there and they forgot to call my name. You can find better service elsewhere.
