All of the options on the menu are dairy-free since they use organic oat milk, which complements the tea very well. What stands out with the classic chai is the consistency of the spice blend; the flavors are always well balanced and it's never too sweet. They also sell bottled chai to go, and it tastes great after reheating on the stove. The owner is always really friendly and open to answering questions. The cafe itself has a minimalist aesthetic and gives you a sense of calm. The space inside is fairly small, with one large communal table toward the center and a few chairs with smaller tables along the sides. There's usually a mix of different patrons, from people doing work to others having side conversations. Definitely recommend stopping by if you're near the LES!

The bread can work either as toast or a sandwich, though the latter made me feel slightly nauseated because of how dense the bread is. The hot chocolate is rich but delightful too. The cute heart shape the foam forms feels inviting and warm. It essentially was telling me to make another visit, and while I cannot promise one soon, recommending it is something I can do heartedly. Lastly, the cardamom cinnamon bun is extremely flavorful and super sinful. If this is how the Scandinavians make their cinnamon buns, I fear I may have just gone up a pants size because this is one dangerous bun. I thought Iceland ruined cinnamon buns for me here, but Sweden may have overtaken it. Time will tell. For a nice Scandinavian take on things, this is perfectly acceptable.
