The entrance is very non-descript. It's an ugly grey metal door with VCC randomly applied, so if you didn't know what was there it would look industrial. There is a door bell to the left of the door. Ring it a few times and someone will open the door and check you in. With reservations they do make you wait until exactly that time so don't be alarmed. Your table is already selected for you. The inside is loungy and very swanky. Both times we had extremely comfortable chairs. Service is immaculate. Their menu is massive, very well published and explained. Our servers were both able to explain exactly what the cocktail may taste like as some of the combos might blow your mind. I had the Dirty Wizard which sounds odd on based on ingredients but was delicious. I also had the Purple Pearl which was my perfect cocktail. My husband tried a few different whiskey concoctions and he was impressed by all of them. I highly recommend adding VCC to your Dublin itinerary!

They have a very extensive menu, including many vegan options! There is something for everyone here. They have their own parking lot so you don't have to worry about street parking or a parking garage. This was a great stop while I was staying in Naas. After getting settled in, our amazing hosts (Tony and Iris) recommended The Dew Drop Inn for our dinner. We stopped in and were seated promptly. The location was a 5 minute walk from where we were staying, and is absolutely cozy and lovely inside. They also have a patio (where we sat the next night!) We ordered: The fish and chips, confit of duck, and sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Let me tell you, we eat a lot of fish and chips. We also travelled all over Ireland (and Scotland) for a month. The Dew Drop Inn is tied for the BEST fish and chips we've ever eaten. (The other location is the Dingle Ahoy! cart/window in Dingle.) They were absolutely perfect. Crisp, lots of fish, well seasoned. The chips were a revelation as well. I may well be ruined for mushy peas for life, because these were exquisate. Also...the confit of duck was SO good, we decided to come back the next day and order that again!! The second night we were there, I sadly don't recall exactly what we had, but I believe it was a potato soup, and seabass. They were all delicious. We honestly wished we had more time in the area, and part of the reason was to try more food and drinks here!!! The cocktails and beer were grand, and the service was absolutely perfect. We absolutely plan to return to Ireland, and to stay with the same B&B hosts (I want them to adopt us, they were that incredible), so we will absolutely be returning to The Dew Drop Inn.

The World's End is a very authentic Irish Pub, in the very authentic Irish town of Kilkenny, with a cast of VERY colorful regulars. Think Cheers, but SOAKED in at least 10x more alcohol. The front entrance has a little diner feel to it, but all the action happens in the back bar through another set of doors. We walked in at 3 in the afternoon with full intentions of 1 drink and a quick bite...but that all changed when the bartender and locals heard our accent. Clearly not Irish. Before long, everybody was chatting us up, asking where we're from, our plans in Ireland, offering us drinks, pouring us drinks, offering us more drinks. I'm pretty sure we're now Facebook friends with a few of them. One of the locals, fascinated that we're from California, stuffed a bunch of change in the jukebox and selected every song about or with the word California in it. We stayed for at least two hours, half of it listening to the likes of California Girls, Hotel California, California Love, & It Never Rains in Southern California. Good times.
