Their specialized tool they use for the signature massage is incredibly effective in soothing and calming the nervous system. I arrived feeling overwhelmed with stress from work, and the massage really helped relieve that tension. I ended up extending my massage by another half hour, it was amazing. We had a massage & a facial. The masseuse was good but not great. She asked where my pain was & then ignored the spots! The facial was good but I always find they take a little longer then they have to. One of the best things was we had our own private room with a steam room inside it! I'd go again.

One of the stylist saw the look of concern on my face and walked over to assist me. He assured me that they do manicures and that there was not a wait. I am in a rush so this is perfect. The nail technician informed me of a Santa Claus Prada the following day and engaged me in conversation. I felt right at home. The tools were clean and sanitary and so I relaxed immediately. This has been one of my pet peeves. I will walk If I notice any rust on a nail clipper or a file being used on a previous client being used without being sanitized. I did not have a reason to worry about here. The owner came over and introduced herself. We even took a photo together. Great environment. Clean and friendly.

They say you need an average of 6 treatments every 2 weeks and then once a month for up keep. The first aesthetician/student I got wasn't very informative and didn't talk much. The second time I went I got Casey, who let me tell you girl, is GRREAT. You know when you search forever to try and find a hairdresser who you vibe with and does a great job? That's Casey. She became my micro girl after my second treatment. She was very informative and down to earth. We get along so well and she always does a great job. I'm super sad she is graduating and I will have to find a new person to do my up-keeps once a month. However, I'm glad I got the majority of my treatments from her. Most people don't know, but the Humber spa is open to anyone. Their prices are AMAZING. Micro is only $60! Sometimes they go on special for $40! Can you find any other spa that offers these kinds of prices? I know some people might be skeptical because they are students, but these are students in their final semester ready to graduate. The info is fresh and they also have supervisors guiding and watching over them. The best thing is that the facility is CLEAN. You can guarantee that. That's something that's really important to me. TIP: If you find an aesthetician that you like, it's totally okay to re-book with them! They actually encourage that, so students know what it's like to get repeat clients. Also, there is no tip option on the machine when you pay. It's not expected, but if you do want to tip, it's cash only. One last tip, even though they only accept CASH TIPS. they ONLY take debit, credit or gift cards as a form of payment. Totally recommend everyone to try out the Humber Spa. I am going for my final treatment in 2 weeks and my face looks AMAZING.

The ladies who worked on me were very nice, and I was happy with them, my nails looked great and so did my toes! The facial made my skin feel really smooth and it was really relaxing. You have to keep in mind that these are students so it takes a little longer than going to a regular spa, but it is cheaper too. Don't forget to tip, the students don't get paid for their work at the spa, so tipping is especially important. I will be back, I really enjoyed the procedures, and the same day service was a really nice touch.

I told the masseuse I want full body but to focus on my neck, lower back and hips. She spent the whole time talking about her Egyptian boyfriend that she's been with for a month, which distracted her from what she was doing. Next thing you know my hour was up and she only got to my back and lower legs? She never touched my hips, neck, thighs, lower back, arms etc. This was the worst massage I ever had and I could've got my little cousins to do a better job. Each time I asked her to apply pressure she told me it's too difficult for her because I'm on my side. I'm obviously on my side because I'm pregnant and it's a prenatal massage. I'm not someone that's hard to please at all but I did inform the front desk it's a disappointment that I have to pay for that type of service. The front desk didn't bother to ask me any questions or seem to care, they just said to have a nice day. I was looking forward to that massage all week because of these pregnancy pains...I still left there in pain and $120 less in my pocket lol not a good experience at all and I won't be returning. ...not to mention, their new rooms are as bright as they're shown in the pictures here. The "aestheticians" took out disposable foam files and buffers. My thought was - what is going on here? $20 manicure + $10 shellac take off later this is how my nails looked. It is atrocious. I feel shameful on their behalf about the lack of skills in doing manicures and other nail services. At the end, they offered to buff my nails some more but the damage was done. Sometimes you just have to close a chapter in your life and I can say, I'm ready to move onto better.
