This clinic has been one of the most frustrating healthcare experiences I've had as a parent…read more At our first visit, they did not have the vaccines available. The doctor ordered blood work on my 11-year-old. When I asked if there was a reason, the answer was no--just because of her age. My daughter is a healthy athlete, and this felt unnecessary. At the second visit, when the vaccines were finally in, I was pressured to agree to additional shots that weren't required, and treated rudely when I refused. My daughter, who is already fearful of shots, was quietly crying. Instead of offering comfort, the nurse spoke to her harshly, told her to stop, and warned that if she moved it would hurt. This only frightened her more, and afterward the shots were painful for days. Experiences like this make children lose trust in doctors. Even worse, the vaccines were not entered properly in the state system. After the second visit, the school nurse checked twice--first finding nothing entered, then later finding the records locked. She explained only the clinic could lock or unlock them. I had to go in person just to get a printed copy. It felt like unnecessary hoops to jump through, made worse by staff who were sharp and unhelpful. The only helpful person in the office was the front receptionist--kudos to her for finally getting us the printed records. My daughter is not a paycheck or a pincushion. We will not be returning, and I would not recommend this office.

So I had to find a new Dr. I was not pleased when I went in for my physical meet and greet with Dr Gupta She is very young and I guess not that knowledgeable in what happens to a woman in her fifties going through peri and post menopause. I am taking hormones through a different Dr. and she asked me why I am taking them? Now is she the Dr? I told her why and my symptoms which was strange. After we were done with the follow up, she proceeded to stand up and leave, she looked down and told Me that I had 2 little bald spots on the top of my head. I said that's menopause!! ‍ and she said that's so sad! WTH? So needless to say I was very disappointed. I went in the next day and found another Dr. I spoke with Natasha who was very knowledgeable and patient.

Great guy. He quit Optum because of its management within 9 months. Seven months later, I got a third PCP. He stuck around for a whole year! Then without warning, he retired. Now they tell me it is a nine month wait to "get established" with a 4th PCP. 4 PCLs in 2 1/2 years! What could possibly go wrong? I fired Optim for poor performannce. Go anywhere else.

This is one of the few times in a Yelp where I am at a loss for things to say, because I have so many *good* things to say about him. Granted - no man is a superman. Even doctors have their limits as to what they can do for their patients - but what Dr. Jones IS... is patient, easygoing and insightful; as well as competent in his knowledge and advice. He even has a dry sense of humor that kind of comes out and at you out of left field at the most surprising times. What he's NEVER been in the time he's been my doctor, is pushy or over insistent on a particular test or procedure or point of view. He's always stated his hunches... his suspicions..and his medical opinions to me and my family as if we were human beings with a brain. We've never felt talked down to or patronized in any way, shape or form. Something the wife and I really like is that we've never felt rushed in his office. When either one of us, or both, are there - we are his sole focus. He's attentive and helps us to feel like we are all partners in our health care. If he doesn't know something - he's not afraid to say so, and to find out more information to discuss during a later visit - or to give a referral to another Doctor, specialist or other resource where we can find more answers. He works out of Beaver Advantage in Redlands, tucked away in a nice little residential neighborhood. The place has a cozy but friendly feel to it, and the staff is always friendly. Granted - sometimes you have to wait, but such is the lot of those of us in managed care; and besides - the office and waiting rooms are comfy. My only minor complaint is that sometimes his own staff can be a bit "bubble headed" when it comes to keeping some of the necessary forms on file (aka I've had to fill out the HIPA form to allow my wife access to my medical records probably around three times now) - but it's certainly not enough to remove s star. If you get a chance - do try to choose Dr. Jones as one of your primary care physicians - he honestly seems to care; and unfortunately, that kind of thing is becoming more and more rare these days. Oh - as an interesting side note.. He kinda has a passing resemblance to the actor.. Hugo Weaving. Whenever he walks into the room I expect him to go... "Greetings... Mr. Anderson... Its time for your exam...".

Then I spoke to a nurse who said she could schedule me but I needed to register first. Was passed to the registration department and guided through that process. Then, was passed back to the scheduler who said that he isn't accepting new patients. When I asked why I needed to register as a new patient in order to find out that he isn't accepting new patients, they didn't have a good answer. Just makes me wonder how good they are at handling other administrative processes that could be more life threatening like lab results and other paperwork.
