Open skate schedule is pretty limited and honestly for night time open skate, they should not allow children under 12 on the ice. Came here on a date and ended up having to dodge like 30 of the most vicious, bloodthirsty 5-7 year old little kids after their hockey practice. Aren't 6 year olds supposed to be in bed by 9pm if they've already skated for god knows how long beforehand? The free skate price includes rentals but there's no discounted option to just skate and bring your own nicer, cleaner skates...so there's absolutely no incentive to come here more often to just skate because you're paying the full price regardless.

Some of the highlights from a grownup included laser tag, the lost tomb of Osiris laser obstacle, roller skating, and bumper cars. I do wish the bumper car area was a tad bigger, as you couldn't get too much momentum going from the smaller space. I also wish some of the things like bowling were included. I will say, it seems like you get your most bang for the buck in the summer. There were many things outside such as putt-putt, go-karts & bumper boats that were all closed for the season. For fairly high regular cost of admission, I wish the had a few more free things to do. There was soooo many arcade games for kids to do, but after you'd spent $38/person to get in, who wants to spend even more???

My boys were finally old enough to try to learn and so hubby and I packed up the boys, drove over, and entered a decent roller rink. Parking is rough in the winter with everyone kinda making up their own place, but it's warm, clean and neat on the inside. The staff is super friendly and helped us every step of the way. They even gave us pointers on the best way to teach our children how to skate, came onto the rink whenever they fell and we were having trouble getting them balanced and even had great skating stories to share with us while we took a break from skating. My boys are very excited to come back and I am too!

I just showed up and was charged an additional $5 for not booking online Their concession stand was closed when we arrived and they didn't permit outside which was a bummer but we finally got to skate but we had to leave our items and jackets on the bench since there was no complimentary lockers besides putting the important stuff in the car. The rest was an enjoyable time skating on ice without any complaints. When we were finished the concession stand was finally opened. It was actually moderately priced. Bathrooms were clean! Plenty of vending machines.

The atmosphere was fun but a little old-fashioned. I actually liked that because it reminded me of the skate parties I used to go to when I was a kid. All the staff were friendly and really cared about the customers. The skate patrol even checked on kids who fell to make sure they were okay. I spoke with the owner during our visit, and he told me how hard Covid was for small businesses like his. You can tell they are trying to save money and keep the rink open. The building could use a facelift in some places, but it didn't take away from our fun. For a snack, we ordered a pizza and some pretzels. The food was okay--nothing special--but the kids were happy with it. They ate quickly and went right back to skating. We could tell the kids were having a blast. Overall, it was a great family experience and I would visit again. I recommend Medina Skateland if you want a fun, friendly place to take your kids skating.

The rental skates are ok for going once but if you have your own skates I'd recommend bringing your own. Sizes are from children's 9 to adult size 13, so if you have big feet beware. Great outing for couples, families, and friends; bundle up and get there to enjoy this lovely Christmas display and skating experience!
