Came here on a date and ended up having to dodge like 30 of the most vicious, bloodthirsty 5-7 year old little kids after their hockey practice. Aren't 6 year olds supposed to be in bed by 9pm if they've already skated for god knows how long beforehand? The free skate price includes rentals but there's no discounted option to just skate and bring your own nicer, cleaner skates...so there's absolutely no incentive to come here more often to just skate because you're paying the full price regardless.

My boys were finally old enough to try to learn and so hubby and I packed up the boys, drove over, and entered a decent roller rink. Parking is rough in the winter with everyone kinda making up their own place, but it's warm, clean and neat on the inside. The staff is super friendly and helped us every step of the way. They even gave us pointers on the best way to teach our children how to skate, came onto the rink whenever they fell and we were having trouble getting them balanced and even had great skating stories to share with us while we took a break from skating. The atmosphere was fun but a little old-fashioned. I actually liked that because it reminded me of the skate parties I used to go to when I was a kid. All the staff were friendly and really cared about the customers. The skate patrol even checked on kids who fell to make sure they were okay. I spoke with the owner during our visit, and he told me how hard Covid was for small businesses like his. You can tell they are trying to save money and keep the rink open. The building could use a facelift in some places, but it didn't take away from our fun. For a snack, we ordered a pizza and some pretzels. The food was okay--nothing special--but the kids were happy with it. They ate quickly and went right back to skating. We could tell the kids were having a blast. If you bring your own skates it's $7. The rink isn't large, so if it's a busy night it could be congested. We went on a Friday night and found it to be perfect for us and a beginner ice skater. The rental skates are ok for going once but if you have your own skates I'd recommend bringing your own. Sizes are from children's 9 to adult size 13, so if you have big feet beware. Great outing for couples, families, and friends; bundle up and get there to enjoy this lovely Christmas display and skating experience!
