Windows to "ocean view" were super teeny and you could more or less not see out of them. + Outrageous policy of not being able to check in early without a fee. Our room was ready and they would not give it to us unless we paid $50. + They will nearly double prices for high volume weekend. The staff and guests are always happy, nice and accommodating. And generally provide upgrades if available. We've gotten countless oceanfront views as a recurring guest. If we turn the AC off for too long, there is a bit of a musty smell but its easy to attribute that to the ocean air and moist atmosphere. Aside from that, the beds are SO comfortable, and the rooms are generally very clean. Recently, fridges have been added to every room which has been very helpful. Other than that the rooms always feel clean and comfortable, and the food at the cafe, restaurant and pool is always amazing! Notably, the lobster roll here is better than any in the area. We are looking forward to our next stay!

I'm so glad they furnished the room with a noise maker, because my goodness, the construction by the boardwalk right now is loud and the lobby is popping. The room phone does not connect with the front desk. That works through a text system. I highly prefer to just be able to call, and this felt like one of those modern updates that are actually less convenient. I ordered room service, and here is where I would give 5 out of 5 stars - the staff here was very friendly and sweet. The spinach and egg white wrap I got? Y'all, skip it! I'd even say, please take this off the menu. I couldn't eat it. The mushrooms were chewy and tough. And the combination of everything was almost muddy? I'd suggest maybe trying to dress the spinach and seasoning the eggs. The coffee was fine. I highly preferred the espresso! Not bad, but I might go elsewhere next time.

Which in itself would be nothing more than a slight absurdity, but for the fact that there is also no attendant present at the front desk or anywhere on the property. You need to go behind the "Staff Only" desk and search around for keys with your room number. Does the property assume liability for any lost/stolen items as a result of rooms not being locked? Doubtful. One of the "clean" towels set out in our room was very wet, as if it had been used just prior to our arrival. The bed had one of the most uncomfortable mattresses I have ever slept on in my life. The staff attending to the continental breakfast were setting out an assortment of bagels, toast, English muffins with their bare hands (which I regrettably noticed after having already eaten). The second star is ONLY because of the location, which admittedly is difficult to beat. The hospitality leaves much to be desired.

The dog friendly room was very clean. Beds are very comfortable. The view of the ocean was beautiful. The staff was outstanding! Friendly and so accommodating. Breakfast was yummy and set up so nice. The drag show next door at the Paradise was so fun! Reminded me of my New York City Days and trips to Fire Island. Admission was free since I slayed at the hotel. My boyfriend planned an extended Birthday weekend for me at the Majestic from Thursday to Sunday…read more Upon check-in, we were very warmly greeted by Dawn.  She immediately made us feel welcome and at home.  She is so knowledgeable of the area, full of information & tips,  a true foodie like us.  We learned that every morning a complimentary breakfast was included which was a lovely touch, as nothing comes free these days.  The porch is magnificent with rocking chairs, country music and a killer view of the ocean.  Additionally there are balconies on the 2nd and 3rd floor which also provide incredible views of the Sunset (another tip from Dawn & Patti) The hotel is conveniently a 2 minute walk from the beach and an 8 minute walk from Asbury Park Boardwalk. It's clean and its quiet.  Beach towels are offered in addition to discounted beach passes. Also, kudos to the rest of the staff ;  Josh. Patti and Emily, I've never encountered a more hospitable staff. Can't wait to book our next trip !!
