I used to stop by at this Laotian restaurant every now and again for take-out, and I even ate in…read moreonce. The food seemed decent and the price fair. The interior is, indeed, strangely cluttered and I have tried to ignore the distinct feeling of less-than-sanitary conditions. But I mostly took issue with my last experience here, when I was taking my girlfriend out to dinner and we decided to stop in at around 10pm. We sat down at a free table when a waitress came up to us and said "take-out?" So I said, "No, we'd like to eat in, if that's okay." Just "No," came the barked response. So I said, "Okay, so we can't eat here?" "No." Maybe her German was bad, but that didn't seem to be the main problem. After that, I haven't come back, even though I live very close by.

The prices are very reasonable, friendly staff, great menu selection. I heard this place is known for their soups so I had the Tom Gaeng Kah with chicken, and rice on the side. Delicious!!! The rice was perfect, the soup very tasty, the chicken was tender and not dry, and the presentation was impressive. We are thinking of going back next week! It is a very small place and right around noon it was packed with students from the nearby university. I was excited to learn that on Saturdays they offer cooking classes for about 12€ and I think I will be signing up for one! Guten appetit!
