Amazing food! Chef Peggy is absolutely amazing at what she does. Best empanadas I have ever had and the ox tail stew is to die for.

We arrived at 6p and after having a look at all the food options, we decided to order from El Kiosquito. The lady at the serving counter was warm and welcoming. We asked her and the gentleman which two empanada flavors are their best selling and both of them said the steak and beef. So we got two of each. They were super helpful with the entree items too, even letting us sample some of them. The roasted pork was INCREDIBLE and I knew I had to have that for dinner. Finished it with yellow rice and peas with beans, and the yuka. And oh. My. GOD. The best meal I've had in months, I promise!! As if we needed anymore....we ended up trying their piña colada and whoa!!! Most piña coladas taste like tanning oil but this one was made with high quality, real ingredients and you could tell from the first sip. We have definitely found a new favorite!!!

Don't let the security bars over the door fool you. I like the food hall atmosphere that's more and more popular nowadays, and while Las Tienditas doesn't have the prime retail space of Ohio City Galley or flashy signage, it's got character and soul to make up for it. How can you not be uplifted by the cheerful Latin American music playing through the speakers? As Georgina G. mentions, parking on the residential street right off W 25th was easy to find. Unfortunately, the business hours make it difficult for anyone but locals and people who work in the area to visit except on Saturdays. Las Tienditas itself has a pretty open floor plan, a central room filled with seven good sized tables and a small stage-like area against a wall. And a COUCH. Everything is open, communal, familia-oriented. Let your kids run free. The first round of businesses to occupy the space are Cafe Social Latinoamericano, Pura Cepa, and Ortiz Art Drafts Designs. All the business owners are extraordinarily friendly, hardworking, and bilingual - fear not if you don't know any Spanish beyond "gracias"! At Cafe Social, you'll get caffeine and delicious pasteles served on beautiful hand-crafted ceramics. My Latte was nothing special (perhaps a little too milky), but the Pastel de Parchita (passionfruit) was yummy. Pura Ceda is a one-woman show of Puerto Rican comfort food, mainly soups and sandwiches. I would highly recommend any soup that owner/chef Haguit Marrero makes, it'll make your Cleveland winter that much more bearable. I didn't get much time to browse the Ortiz Art store, but they had some cool snapback hats and other apparel on display. For me, coffee and tables instantly make me want to park my butt down and camp for a while, and luckily the building has free Wi-Fi to support my cafe nomad lifestyle. There aren't many outlets around (unless you want to sit on the stage), so make sure you have enough battery to last or bring an external battery. I'm looking forward to seeing these businesses grow and for future events at Las Tienditas!

The food business serves mainly sandwiches heavy on the meat. I order an egg sandwich that was huge and tasted good. Nothing to seriously write home about. The cafe was sooooo good. The coffee was perfect and I had the milk cake (i don't know the proper name...lol) and it was so freaking delicious. I definitely recommend going in for a coffee break. The Idea of a shared space is great though. It gives you ohio city galley vibes but with some flavor...lol

I was desperately craving caffeine after having a hearty meal at the center. Ambiance: Think mall food court but with all Latin vendors (plus retail). You can build your own plate with multicultural cuisines. The center is vibrant, modern, new, and has plenty of comfortable seating. It's quiet enough to hear your company or even work from home. Food/Drink: Cafe Roig has Latin sandwiches, sweets, and coffee beverages. Standouts are Mallorcas, Puerto Rican puffy pastries. The experience is pretty value-oriented. You can get 50% off a pastry with your coffee purchase. I was absolutely full when I arrived at Cafe Roig. I just wanted a petite coffee drink. Cortadito was a perfect treat. It was $3.99 for a medium (just a shot), which is pretty standard price (cheaper than Starbucks). The employee explained to me that it's traditionally served sweet. I selected this option despite never drinking coffee sweet. It wasn't the best cortado I've had but I also never had Puetro Rican version. Service: I'm very used to Latin hospitality and friendliness at CentroVilla25. All vendors are always eager to talk about their businesses and welcome you with open arms. It wasn't my experience here. The employee working this stand was very serious and not chatty. I didn't feel any friendliness. The service was also very slow despite only two people ahead of me. I intend to try Mallorcas next time I'm at CentroVilla25. They sound so exciting! I'd recommend this stand for caffeine despite not exactly having a five star experience. It's something unique to try and wonderful to support!

I also had a garden salad that was super refreshing while my friends had a milkshake (yum!) and split the melt and grilled cheese sandwiches. Our server was delightful - you could tell she really cared about our experience. You can provide good service but for her she took real pride in it and really cared about making sure our meal was good. We really appreciated that. Space is pleasant in Battery Park - I think I like the Akron location a touch better, warmer, less industrial feeling but it's not bad just personal preference. Note: be careful on parking they have a few spaces in the narrow street immediately in front of the restaurant but the parking lot around the corner adjacent to battery park is permit only (and you'll be towed!). If the ones immediately in front of the venue are take you need to park further down (west) on 76th.
