Delicious bargain sandwich- huge two meal breakfast sandwich on sweet bread with garlic butter, ham, cheese, and eggs was only $12!

Very nice restaurant with plenty of available parking. They are a busy, so bare with them while ordering, because it will be worth it in the end. I got the Philly cheesesteak and $12 meal box. The Philly was good I would rate it 7.4/10 it was flavorful. The 12 dolla meal box was legit. The BBQ chicken was tender, juicy, with great flavor. The rice and peas were very good and the plantains are great addition to the meal. The customer service at this establishment was great, and on the other side of the restaurant they have dining.

I have had this place bookmarked for months and finally decided to check it out. I didn't explore much of the interior and went straight for the counter. I got myself a coffee, a ball ($2.00) filled with potatoes, two empanadillas ($4.00), one with beef and one with potatoes and two personal sized flans. Everything was delicious. I definitely want to come back and try their actual menu!

I have no idea what I ate exactly, but it was good! Enough to make me want to come back, but only sooner or later. I'm not in a rush, but my interest is definitely piqued. Which, to me, is a good sign! If you're looking for that very spicy Latin American type of food... This place is not for you. While I do think you can purposely make it spicy of course, it doesn't come spicy and I'm not sure it's meant to be eaten that way anyways. Inside is kind of like a cafeteria lunch line... Go down and pick what you want and then pay. There are some tables if you choose to stay. I actually think they might have a lot of tables but half the restaurant was not in use at that moment, so I can only hypothesize what's on the other side of the building. I highly recommend the horchata! I very much so enjoyed it, and it did not taste like Big Red. Also, whatever the items we got from the baked area were so good. Just go here for lunch, OK? Definitely worth a try.

Authentic? I don't know - I'm not Latin American, nor have I ever been to Puerto Rico. I'd like to think so though. Reasonably priced? Absolutely. Delicious? HELL YES. There's not much to the exterior or interior of this little corner stop, but it just means there's that much more attention paid to the food. If Sokolowski's had a Puerto Rican counterpart, this would be it. Two ladies were alternately manning the lunch counter and pastry display, one of whom was switching off between English and Spanish like she was channel flipping on TV. Unlike Sokolowski's, the walls aren't plastered with photos and paraphernalia, and there are no shirts for sale, but there's a tiny selection of produce - which is advertised at $0.50 a piece if you buy a meal. We weren't sure whether they'd accept credit card, but they do for charges over $10. I'm sure the ladies were laughing at me because my eyes grew huge and I all but pressed my face to the glass of the lunch counter as I took in the bounty of steaming food options. Next time I'll have to peel my eyes away and try out one of the many sandwich options, but my friend and I opted to split a dinner size ($10) Roast Pork Combo and lunch size ($8) Beef Stew Combo. All combos come with rice (white or yellow - I recommend yellow), and beans. But these aren't just any old beans. I rarely ever get beans at Chipotle, but if they made them like Caribe does, soaked in savory juice and boiled with hearty potatoes, I probably would get them 100% of the time. If I could have, I would've tried some of the Pork Ribs, Empanadas, Mofongo, or Platains as well - but that's for next time! We couldn't leave Caribe BAKE Shop without trying a dessert, so we topped off our already full stomachs with a serving of Tres Leches. It was spongy, cinnamon-y, and appropriately moist without being too soggy. Their other signature dessert, the Tembleque (a sort of coconut pudding), had already sold out by lunch time - plan accordingly, but don't fret if the glucose craving is real, because they have plenty of other desserts to spare. The majority of customers purchase their food to go, but there's four chairs split amongst two family-sized dining tables. Which means you're welcome to stay and eat as long as you don't bring a crowd.

    Tripleta sandwich - delish!
    Rodney W.

Had a tripleta and a quesito from Caribe today. It was hella good! The tripleta was loaded with meats and they were tasty and fresh. The pork was delicious! I haven't had a sandwich from here in a while and I'm not sure why. But I will make an effort to visit Caribe more often. It's kind of far from home, but worth the trip. I really like the new store that they built. It's good to see that they're prospering. I also bought some quesitos and they're absolutely delicious! They're sugary, flaky, fluffy, and they have some body. The creamy cheese filling is delicious. It tastes a little like cheesecake and I love it! I'll be back for more!

Best priced sandwiches you will find in Cleveland. The tripleta is my favorite sandwich!! Wish the morcilla was spicier/hotter.

We asked her and the gentleman which two empanada flavors are their best selling and both of them said the steak and beef. So we got two of each. They were super helpful with the entree items too, even letting us sample some of them. The roasted pork was INCREDIBLE and I knew I had to have that for dinner. Finished it with yellow rice and peas with beans, and the yuka. And oh. My. GOD. The best meal I've had in months, I promise!! Don't let the security bars over the door fool you. I like the food hall atmosphere that's more and more popular nowadays, and while Las Tienditas doesn't have the prime retail space of Ohio City Galley or flashy signage, it's got character and soul to make up for it. How can you not be uplifted by the cheerful Latin American music playing through the speakers? As Georgina G. mentions, parking on the residential street right off W 25th was easy to find. Unfortunately, the business hours make it difficult for anyone but locals and people who work in the area to visit except on Saturdays. Las Tienditas itself has a pretty open floor plan, a central room filled with seven good sized tables and a small stage-like area against a wall. And a COUCH. Everything is open, communal, familia-oriented. Let your kids run free. The first round of businesses to occupy the space are Cafe Social Latinoamericano, Pura Cepa, and Ortiz Art Drafts Designs. All the business owners are extraordinarily friendly, hardworking, and bilingual - fear not if you don't know any Spanish beyond "gracias"! At Cafe Social, you'll get caffeine and delicious pasteles served on beautiful hand-crafted ceramics. My Latte was nothing special (perhaps a little too milky), but the Pastel de Parchita (passionfruit) was yummy. Pura Ceda is a one-woman show of Puerto Rican comfort food, mainly soups and sandwiches. I would highly recommend any soup that owner/chef Haguit Marrero makes, it'll make your Cleveland winter that much more bearable. I didn't get much time to browse the Ortiz Art store, but they had some cool snapback hats and other apparel on display. For me, coffee and tables instantly make me want to park my butt down and camp for a while, and luckily the building has free Wi-Fi to support my cafe nomad lifestyle. There aren't many outlets around (unless you want to sit on the stage), so make sure you have enough battery to last or bring an external battery. I'm looking forward to seeing these businesses grow and for future events at Las Tienditas!

I was desperately craving caffeine after having a hearty meal at the center. Ambiance: Think mall food court but with all Latin vendors (plus retail). You can build your own plate with multicultural cuisines. The center is vibrant, modern, new, and has plenty of comfortable seating. It's quiet enough to hear your company or even work from home. Food/Drink: Cafe Roig has Latin sandwiches, sweets, and coffee beverages. Standouts are Mallorcas, Puerto Rican puffy pastries. The experience is pretty value-oriented. You can get 50% off a pastry with your coffee purchase. I was absolutely full when I arrived at Cafe Roig. I just wanted a petite coffee drink. Cortadito was a perfect treat. It was $3.99 for a medium (just a shot), which is pretty standard price (cheaper than Starbucks). The employee explained to me that it's traditionally served sweet. I selected this option despite never drinking coffee sweet. It wasn't the best cortado I've had but I also never had Puetro Rican version. Service: I'm very used to Latin hospitality and friendliness at CentroVilla25. All vendors are always eager to talk about their businesses and welcome you with open arms. It wasn't my experience here. The employee working this stand was very serious and not chatty. I didn't feel any friendliness. The service was also very slow despite only two people ahead of me. I'm so sad about this, but this was not my favorite experience at Leavened. Customer service was great of course but my selections fell short. I got a mushroom and ricotta croissant, which was fine. I forgot the ricotta was supposed to be there because it mostly tasted liked mushroom, but it was good. I also got the cinnamon monkey bread. This was not good. It was seemingly cooked in the paper that it was served in so the top of the bread pieces were crunchy, the middle was softer and then everything else was completely stuck to the paper. I didn't get to eat about 1/3 of what I paid for and I had to work really hard for the other 1/3. Also, the bread had a very spicy taste. It must have been cinnamon and allspice, but it was entirely too much and very overpowering. It truly tasted like a spicy savory bread which is not what I was expecting or wanted. Monkey bread is usually gooey and sweet. This missed the mark, but that's okay. I'll certainly return for another treat soon. Also the bread was looking fire this day.

The guy at the register said the bread pudding still has a "cinnamon roll base, so it has orange in it" despite nothing in the sign denoting this awful addition to bread pudding and the fact that cinnamon rolls are not orange rolls. But I digress and I won't fight with a cashier over their poor decisions lol. Also got a cherry chocolate sourdough on impulse. Pray it is soft inside.
