That means if you already have a child--even just one, like me & want to switch to a closer doctor, HE WON'T TAKE YOU. Staff says he's unable to take new patients because he's "full"... however he would take me if my son was unborn? Full-of-bologna. What happens to families who relocate? Or are seeking better/closer care? EVERY CHILD DESERVES ACCESS TO CARE, NO MATTER WHEN THEY WERE BORN. His policy makes it really hard for parents who need care now. This tells me that some families are less worthy of care based on timing, NOT NEED. This kind of policy (which I've never heard of) may help manage his schedule & maybe he's looking out only for his own convenience, but it feels unfair to families who aren't expecting but still need support. They won't even give you a chance, they don't care, so don't bother calling.

I had scheduled an appt for a consult and my baby was born before I could meet Dr. Taniguchi. He came to meet me in the hospital and established care at 1.5 days old. That was over 14 years ago. I have two boys now and they are both under Dr. Taniguchi's care. We live in town and his practice is in Aiea, I would not change it for anything. He is very responsive, accommodating, understanding and an amazing doctor/co-parent to my boys.

Since it was a pre-op clearance, Mely performed an EKG with a portable device she could wheel into the examination room. Next Kylie, PA actually looked into my ears, mouth and felt my stomach which my doctor has never done. She went over my blood pressure, temperature and EKG readings and told me which meds to stop taking one week prior. She sent me down to the lab for blood and urine tests after. I was happy and impressed that both ladies were both kind, thorough and very pretty plus easy to talk to. I was told if I don't get a call, that's good news and I'm cleared for surgery.

They don't sound kind , understanding or patient . They the type who just wanna get it over with and hang up the phone. They told me I needed to get a referral first and so I did. They made me go to my pcp just to get her referral only to tell me they're not accepting transferring patients and that she don't want to be held liable . So they made me waste my time driving to my pcp with morning sickness and a cold flu. Imagine having to drive back and forth feeling nauseous and tired with fever chills back pain sore throat inflammation with chest pain only to be told no! It's a Fn NIGHTMARE! All I wanted was to just go to a clinic close by me and get the medications I needed because of my cold flu! I do not recommend Dr. Roxanne Kawelo. They are inconsiderate , impatient and terrible workers. Some people just don't belong in the healthcare profession . May karma reach their families and friends.

Been with this doctor for about 10 years... I had my 2 daughters and my youngest son see him. This…read morereview is looong over due. Thankfully like some of the other reviews I had no issues with any other workers/receptionist. This is strictly for Doctor Ninomiya. I stayed with him wayyy longer than I should have and I should have followed my gut and found a new pediatrician years ago! Never in my entire life I have felt belittled, unheard & talked down to by a professional like himself. My son just turned 10 months and basically started getting sick more often when he turned 6 months. At yesterday's visit, it was like he practiced what he was going to say and how forcefully he was going to say it to me. He basically yelled at me, saying that it was our fault as parents that my son was getting sick. See, I would have believed him had I not visited "urgent care" before this visit because I really did not want to call doctor Ninomiya & hear that we caused our son to get sick again when we followed everything he told us to do. The Urgent Care doctor previously came from being a pediatrician and told me... "Not once did I blame the parents of why kids get sick." He said before 2, they will get sick a lot. "As doctors, we just need to help them get better and figure out what's wrong. I would never tell you to alter the way you live or your daily lives, because we just can't. There's no blaming game here. We all try to do our best!" & that stuck with me that there are other doctors that care & have the same values as my family. It's unfortunate that I had to leave this review here, but I do want everyone especially new, that this doctor is not for everyone. Yes, pediatricians are hard to find on the west side, but trust me... Go make a drive if you can't tolerate professionals like him. With that being said, yes I found another doctor in Kapolei whom shows compassion & care for my kids. Find a doctor that works for you and your family!

We were…read morereferred to CMA by my sister, whose kids had been going to Dr. Yano for years and she always spoke very well of the practice. At the time, the only doctor available was Dr. Morita, who we loved instantly. It's been 7 years and she has been so wonderful with our children, very patient, and she relates well to the little ones. Our oldest is autistic and struggles with going to the doctor but she's always so easy-going with him, is super flexible with his comfort levels, is always on top of where he is at with his autism services, and offers advice and referrals whenever needed. Our little one (4) loves going to see "Dr. Dorita" and when we drive by the building, he shouts "my doctor's office". Dr. Morita's assistant, Daniel, has also been amazing, he's always so good with the kids and very patient and calm when my son freaks out about shots. He's usually there as soon as we walk in and will just wave us into the room. We have never had to wait more than a minute or two, which is a relief when you have three kids who won't sit still. I haven't really had to deal with the front desk staff, usually we just talk to Daniel or Dr. Morita, so I can't speak much to that area of the practice. We also really like that there is always a doctor available if Dr. Morita is out. The other two doctor's we've seen there have been really nice and equally as patient with our kiddos. We're moving out of state and are going to miss Dr. Morita and Daniel very much! We highly recommend you take your kiddos here, they've been so wonderful to our family!

He is never rushing, never dismissing concerns. What stands out most is how he interacts directly with my son. He goes out of his way to make my son feel comfortable, which is not something we experience often in medical settings. He jokes with him, builds rapport, and treats him with genuine respect. As a parent, it is incredibly reassuring to have a pediatrician who not only understands complex medical care but also truly sees my child as a person. Dr. was in contact with us daily with updates, and to help us through the process. He's very patient, caring and understanding. But hey, who does? If he does need 2 shots, it's soo fast! It seems like the nurse only gives him 1 shot, and I should know because I do not like when gets shots! The nurses are always friendly, and welcome us when we arrive. Recently, I dislocated my son's elbow (nurses elbow, waah!) and Dr. met me on a early Sunday morning.
