I stopped by for a bubble tea after having dinner across the street at Geneva Crepe Bistro and the…read moretea was ok, although too sweet (even at 50% sweetness) and I found the tapioca to be too mushy. I got a medium Original Milk Tea with Hazelnut Flavouring $4.30 and added tapioca pearls for another $0.50 ($4.80 total). I asked for half sweet and regular ice. I didn't really taste much hazelnut flavour, and it was still really sweet for my tastes (I guess I should have ordered quarter sweet). It didn't have a strong tea flavour either. Fortunately, it wasn't too rich nor too creamy. I didn't get that much tapioca, but I guess it was ok because I found the tapioca too mushy. The place looked clean and service was fine. I've had better bubble tea, but I've also had much worse, so this place is ok. Maybe other flavours are better. Also, I just had bubble tea and didn't try their food or other offerings like shaved ice. I love shaved ice, so might have to return to try that :)

It's alright. Went for some shoyu ramen and also had strawberry shaved ice after a grueling exam…read more The ramen was pretty good, decent portions and solid flavor, no complaints there. Shaved ice left a lot to be desired. Not a lot of flavor, strawberries did not look very fresh and the portion was pretty small for the price ($7 I think?). This place does get pretty busy because it is one of the go-to student spots for some Taiwanese food and bubble tea so do be wary of that. Service was fast and seating was comfortable. Would return to try a few more desserts or when I'm craving bubble tea although I have heard from some friends that they take a long time to make bbt.

I've been to classics since my 1st year at university but somehow never got around to reviewing it…read more Went today after class for some lunch (probably my 3rd or 4th time?). Classics is kind of like Ten Ren's Tea back in the GTA. With a collection of bubble tea/fruit drinks, small chinese snacks and some rice/noodle dishes. Their selection is actually pretty solid and you'll probably find something that you really missed if you're like me from the GTA. Ordered the Chicken Fried Udon (13.99) and Original Milk Tea with Tapioca (5.50). Nothing spectacular and nothing bad either. The chicken udon tasted good and had plenty of toppings while the milk tea was alright, but with Chatime open in Kingston now, I expect that to be the boba king on Princess. Food is like a 3/5. Where the extra star comes from is that Classics is kind of a vibe. Really reminds me of back in the GTA and they play almost exclusive Jay Chou in there. Not many options in Kingston for this type of food!

Food is okay here - some indeed are pretty good. I have been ordering food here many, may times…read more Last night, when I called them for delivery and asked to be delivered by Princess delivery, the person who answered the phone said I had to go through delivery platforms, Skip the Dishes, DoorDash. I told her I do not want to pay by credit card online, and I wanted to pay by cash. I almost attempted to say, " Do you still want my business?" She kept saying something that did not make sense. I finally hanged up the phone. I was able to order items from this place a couple of times ago and delivered to me by Princess delivery, and at that time, the person who answered took my call did that with no problems. Why different people answering the phone has a different response? You guys need to pull up your socks together!!!!!!

What a cute little place! I ate here late morning on a Saturday during my birthday trip to…read moreKingston. I was seated right away. If you are a solo diner, this is a safe place. They don't treat you as if you matter less or try to stick you at a bar. The restaurant was busy but I was seated right away. There is a bakery attached, but I didn't go over since I'm gluten-free and hate looking if I don't know in advance they have goodies I can eat. I always vet my restaurants in advance with the dietary restriction and there were excellent options for those GF. I ordered the Peach, Pineapple and Coconut mimosa. I HATE peach, but she was able to make it with just the other two. They put coconut cream around the side of the glass. EXCELLENT mimosa. One of the best I ever had. I also ordered the Pork & Tomatillo Tostada. This came on these crispy corn tortillas. I'm a huge texture person...that was amazing. The pork was delicious. There were also scrambled eggs, this delicious sauce, cheese, herbs and tomatoes. Absolute yum. I would eat this every day of the week! There were also potatoes on the side, which were very tasty. Service was perfect. Brenda was my server. She made sure I had everything I needed. She did forget I was GF and brought me a cookie from the bakery. It wasn't GF, but the gesture was nice. They also had a colourful sign over the front window advertising local vendors, which was that nice, small town touch. Very cute place, convenient location. Good service and delicious food. I will definitely return when I visit Kingston again.

Overpriced for the bad food (and terrible coffee) they offer…read more It did not use to be like that, but it has gone down in quality over the years.
